In-Character Details Character Name: Porterus Vander Character Race: Elf Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: I grew up in Normandor and wasn't very wealthy as a child. During my childhood my family used to live in the walls of the Elder Tree. My dad was a merchant selling anything he could to keep us from having to live in the Wilds. Even though he did a good job of that, I visited the Wilds daily. Either to hunt for some food for the family or to see my friends. By friends I mean the forest creatures, because as a kid since we were the more poor family, I didn't have many real friends. It doesn't matter much anyway, I liked the creatures just as much. By the time I turned 20, my family wanted me to move out so there were less people to feed. So I did, and when I was 22 I left my home and went to live in the city of D'hara, where I could be equal to the rest instead of having to live in the undersides of magnificent trees. In D'hara I learned my liking for the bow and arrow. I was relatively good and could hit a cannonball sized object from 20 feet. As I become better I will try to join some military force so I don't have to pay for my housing. It's just easier than having to find odd jobs to work for small amounts of money. Plus I enjoy using my bow. Appearance: About 6 feet tall. Medium length blonde hair. Slightly muscular build because of having to forage and kill in the forests. Leather pants and quiver and bow from the forest. Personality:Fun and outgoing, will be anyones friend if they're nice back. Does get defensive over serious things easily. Age:22 Other: Recently has started striving to become a powerful archer. What are your characters ambitions?: To be a better archer, and maybe join the military. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He misses the nature of his city of birth. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Walks up to the shopkeeper happily. Scans through the goods for buying. Sees many unbuyable goods but seems to see one more object. "What is that?" "A birch wood bow." "Where did you find it?" "Actually I made it on the way here, to Arethor." "Really?, may I try it?" I pick it up. "On what?" I pull my arrow out of my quiver and arm my bow as if it were instinct. I shoot it instantly at the hanging sign beside a tavern. The arrow makes a slapping noise. I look around at the local faces giving me the death stare. "Sorry" The dwarf looks astonished. "How much" The dwarf interrupts me. "You are good." "Thanks you." "Maybe you should give the king a visit." "Thanks but I'm not that good, so how much?" "100 Minas" I give him the money in return for the bow. "Thank you, I didn't get your name?" "It's Vinlorg, but you can call me Vin." "Thanks Vin." "No problem lad." Walks away. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Stops quickly and is in shock. Realizes, and sneaks behind a nearby tree. Thinks about the circumstances and jumps out from behind the tree. "Hey there!" Runs towards the Orc. Orc turns around and throws a punch. "Ah!" Get hit to the side and to the ground. Orc runs at me. I stand up and run. The dwarf runs off with his items. The Orc keeps chasing me. I run farther than the Orc into the woods and hide in a tree. He is searching the woods. I jump down onto the Orc choking him. The Orc flips me over him and kicks me. I grab my chest in pain. The Orc walks up to me. I kick his legs out from under him and run to the nearest city. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do? Rushes to the mans side and helps him up. He aches in pain. I put him on my back and piggy-backs him. Picks up his money and puts it in my pocket. Walks him into town to the local Healer. "Welcome." "I have this old man, he just fell on the path outside of town, he may have a broken bone." Lays the man onto the table. "He seems very weak, but I think I know the problem." "What is it?" "He may have only a sprained ankle. Maybe not a big deal for you kids, but for elderly it is terrifyingly painful." "I can tell." The doctor starts using his white magic to fix the problem. "How long will it be?" "I am done." "Wow." The man tries to sit up but can't. The doctor helps him up. "Thank you boy" "No problem, how could anyone let an old man just sit there on a open road." "You'd be surprised." "Well I'll be off, Oh!" Hands the man his bag of Minas. "Thank you so much." "You're welcome, bye!" Leaves tent and walks toward the inner city.

Clothing: Chain-mail shirt stretching to my thighs, leather pants, iron shoulder pads, small quiver and bow. Personality: Funny, yet angrily ignores people, defensive about few things, but those things get defended well. Character Story - My father was an outlaw. He never admitted to me how he became known as such, and didn't like talking about it. Mother knew, but if she told me, she says I'd think of him differently. I don't think I would, or at least I thought. At the age of 12 mother was caught having an affair with my father. He packed our stuff and left. We traveled quite a distance in one day until dad said, "We've gone far enough now, Po, lets get our beds ready." After staring at a fire for a couple hours my father cleared his throat and began speaking, "Son, I don't think you know why we left, but because we must leave, I have to tell you my past." I looked up at him from the fire. "Before your mother and I married, I was engaged to another woman. She had been from noble descent, and so had I. We were a happy couple, until she was brutally murdered in front of me. I wanted revenge and my thirst for blood hadn't been quenched. In the night I would become a new figure, they called me Grey. Grey was hanging anyone in suspicion of murdering his almost-wife from lamp posts in the street as a symbol to anyone involved. After about four month period, Grey was captured and they discovered it was me. I was sentenced to death by hanging. When the date came for my hanging, I stood there on the platform waiting for my death. I suddenly realized something, I still haven't found evidence that the killer wasn't in justice. Tearing the rope I was noosed by with my bare hands, I ran to the rooftops. I escaped the town and had to find out who did it." I looked past my fathers face and into the darkness he had become. How could my own father be such a deadly and insane man? He continued to finish his story, " So then I met your mother and told her this tale. She too has regrets, so we started a new life, not in love, but in the thought that maybe we can get revenge." He looked down at me, looking for forgiveness. I turned back to the fire and clenched my teeth. Neither of us spoke. We finished off the firewood and slept on the road we traveled's dirt. In the night I just stood up and ran down the road farther and farther. When I would come upon a fork in the road going towards a town, I would travel past. I did that for a good 3 days. I fell to the floor from dehydration. I don't know why I left, but I think back then, I felt betrayed. Awakening to an old man in a strange house isn't the best way to wake up. I saw him at a crafting table making blue-prints. I sat up and asked, "Who are you?" He doesn't stop working yet continues to respond, "My names Jack, and yours is Porterus." "How do you know that?" "I know a lot more than most." I looked at the ground in frustration, thinking. How does he know my name? He proceeds to tell me, "I can tell your eye-sight's well, I will train you." "Why would I need training?" "Well by the looks you can't handle drinking." "Well what do you have in mind?" "Because your vision is so good, I will train you as a marksman." "I don't have any experience with a bow." ""No matter, you will be one of the best by the end of this time." And so it began...: To not end up like his father, and make a memorable person of himself.: My screenshot of my skin is attached to this post.: Porterus will be a honorable ranger, with skills unknown.: Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I take a slow glance at the Dwarf. He attempts to try to speak with me so I give him my time. I browse his goods with a quick eye only finding barely sellable goods. Tells him that I will buy some of his loafs of bread even though they're dirty. I give him 2 gold and tell him to keep the change. Walks away thinking of how much of a push-over I am. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Steps into the cover of the trees shadow. Climbing the tree, I look back making sure nothing has happened. I pull an arrow out of my quiver slowly, making sure to not make noise. The dwarf sees me and doesn't say a thing. I draw back my bow quickly and aims. The shot slaps out of my bow and makes a noiseless sound in the back of the Orcs head. Walks past the dwarf, not asking for any thanks. I choke on my words, seeing him fall. Helps the elderly man up and takes him to the nearby bench. Picks up his coins and the bag, putting the coins back in. I give them back and he says thanks. Walking away I see him smile.:
