In-Character Details Character Name: Daisy Sandybanks Character Race:Halfling Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Deep within the Vale, in the town of Branborough, on the Banks of the Tookwater River, there was a small burrow, and within that burrow were two Halflings, the Sandybanks family. There was Mrs. Sandybanks, and Mr. Sandybanks. After years of marriage, Mrs. Sandybanks had given birth to a child with sandy hair, and green eyes. After much contemplation, the child was given the name Daisy. Daisy Sandybanks. From young age, Daisy had been rather contemplative and studious, whilst retaining the common Halfling attributes of love of drink and food and such and such. An odd combination, truly, but she apparently made it work, as she suffered little stress. Amongst being studious and having a slight thirst for knowledge, Daisy took up fishing and gardening as a hobby, along the banks of the Tookwater river. After turned from child to woman, she set about the Vale, looking for things to learn, people to meet, and fun to have. After exhausting the Branborough area, she set about, searching for other villages and towns. After much travel, she found herself in terrain most unlike the Vale. Reprimanding herself for not following the path, she began to frantically find her way back, becoming even more lost. After many nights of running and walking, she stumbled upon a den of villainous miscreants, and, much to her woe, was spotted, and nearly killed. Upon awaking, she found herself within a cage, high above the den of thugs, who were playing dice for her belongings. In a shock, she realized that she was naked, and possessionless. Her thoughts strayed to what the marauders would do to her when they finished dividing her meager belongings. The mere thought made her spine quiver with fear, and her mind dive into the depths of subconsciousness. What occurred to her during this weakened form is unknown, and best not to be spoken of, but after some time, she awoke to the sounds of screaming and bloodshed, and found herself upon the floor, her cage shattered against the ground, and her body squeezed into a crevice. The den was ablaze, and a pack of frightening monsters were assaulting the marauders with frenzy. Daisy quickly came to her senses, and, using her natural skills of small size, sneaked away from the fray, grabbing a satchel of supplies and a pair of clothing, including a badly damaged sword of sharpened stone, and a thin leather tunic and leggings. She ran off into the night, and then succumbed to fatigue. Upon her awaking, she found herself in a large temple, a haven even, her belongings missing, but her body and mind healthy as they could be, se soon arose, and began looking for the Vale once again . . . What are your characters ambitions?: To learn, to eat, to drink, and to live, of course. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Daisy is a well-mannered individual, but is rather hardened by her more recent encounters. Her studious nature and fun-loving personality is, fortunately, not lost. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I found myself meandering through a crowded but majestic environment. The City of Arethor it was, as different from my homeland, the Vale, as a dragon is different from a chameleon. There were sights to see, and things to learn. As I walked through the market place, I spot a shop-keeper, frantically attempting to sell his trinkets and wares. I felt a pang of pity, as I saw his state of manner, and purchase a rather large, expensive tome, detailing the various magical dynasties of some eastern empire. It was not the material that I was interested in, although I would certainly read it some day, but rather aiding the poor dwarf. It my wish that the Dwarf fares well, although I can do little more to aid him. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? As I walked down the road, a tad bit tipsy from a recent night well spent at the inn, I spotted a rather large, ominous figure shouting at a figure of lesser height. As I observed the events, I saw the Orc pull an axe, and a Dwarf unless a brutal maul. I, being encouraged by the late night of drinking, foolishly decided to step in where I was not wanted. As I meandered towards them, I heard the shouts of anger coming from the two disgruntled members. Upon me finding myself in close range, I heard a snippet of what had occurred, as the Orc bellowed the following: "I demahd mah coins bahk ye vile, faht-headed, luhbering, bafhoon!". Shortly thereafter, the dwarf delivered an ever might laugh, and the two came to blows. I then reconsidered, and thought it best to leave it be, for truly what could a halfing do in such a scenario, much less a drunk one, of female gender. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I was most shocked to find myself in quite the precarious situation. I myself had recently been in a long night of well-meaning gambling, and lacking in coins. On the return, using the Malinor road, I encountered an old man falling, and his coinpurse splitting. My natural instinct was to aid the man, but the coins attracted my attention. I decided that a compromise was necessary, and upon stooping down to lift the man up, I gave him my walking stick, unused at the time. The man, pleased that I had aided him, delivered unto me a reward of a few coins that had fallen from his purse, and were stuck in the pavers of the cobble pathways. I wished him off with good tidings, and then realized he had left his purse. I found myself picking it up, and rushing it to him. Oh, the joy the old man displayed, it was worth any amount of gold. We then both walked down the road, and shared a night's worth of knowledge . . .
  4. I could not help but noticing the prevalent "Use the Patcher Noob", in the left side of the screen. Why was there a proposal next to a volcano?
  5. For this "proto-character", is it the SAME character that we officially apply as, or just a trial character to make sure we know what we're doing? This system personally seems rather confusing for would-be applicants such as myself.
