    What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Alchemy

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Alchemy in a philosophical term is the art of studying the material realm and its energies however the act of alchemy alone is to learn how to break down special reagents to awaken the slumbering magical properties within them brewing them into Elixirs. All reagents align with one of five signs: Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Aether and can carry a number of symbols which match the properties of the reagent alone these symbols can range from Life and Death to Purity and Poison.

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    Not really. There are many different lores for Alchemy typically packs for potions or the such. The most I'd say is separate is general alchemy which are useful elixirs publicly known and dark alchemy such as homunculi and flesh molding that are well kept secrets.

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    Sarrion would take a seat putting on fine leather gloves before taking out some Thin dusky red vines akin to veins, covered with small thorns. He would first take some measures to dethorn the reagent and set those aside in a glass bottle safely before cutting the plant up into bits then setting it into a stone bowl to grind down into a fine powder. Once this was completed the alchemist would set the fine powder onto a stone plate safely from other burnables where he struck a match and set the fine powder ablaze. After a few minutes all that was left was an ash of various colors of greys and black which he carefully separated into their own little piles and set them into jars with labels for further use. 

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

    Sarrion would set some jars down with various already prepared reagents that were extracted and ready for mixing. His student was watching carefully. "Today we will make an elixir of luminance which will help bring light to dark areas."

     

    The student would nod watching carefully.

     

    Sarrion would set down a parchment and scribble upon it a recipe. A base of Distilled Water with 1x Light symbol, 1x Swiftness and 1x Endurance. He wrote some instructions on how to combine it all. "Right - first and foremost we must prepare the base. Some elixirs require special preparation but this one is straight forward."

     

    The student would intently watch.

     

    Sarrion would take our a measuring spoon and begin to fill a glass beaker with the aforementioned symbols then filled it to a certain point with distilled water mixing them together. He took out a small burner and set it alight with a match placing it under the beaker. Slowly the water would begin to boil mixing with the symbols.

     

    Soon after Sarrion would have the student turn off the burner and pour the clear liquid into a bottle and cork it tightly. "Go ahead and give it a shake." Sarrion instructed - and in doing so the bottles contents would begin to glow a bright white light illuminating the lab. 

     

    "You can also add dyes and the like to this elixir to change its color. That will be it for today - I wish for you to make me one of these and bring an example when you're finished." Asked Sarrion before departing.
