Descended from the noble stock of West Anthosian Oren, the blood of the Sarkozic, Karovic, and Auvergnian peoples flows through the veins of the settlers of the Adrian Mountains, who maintain a culture rich with tradition, history, and faith.

Linguistically influenced by the Sarkozic tongue of High Ruska, the writings and orations of the people of Montfort, Woldzmir, East Cyraium, and Maker’s Wood mark important milestones in Orenian literature.

Notable for its economic success and the great number of artisanal and raw goods exports, the town of Montfort has risen to become the hub of trade in the Southeast Oren, and sits in the middle point between the County of Werdenberg, the Holy Palatinate, and the Barony of Vladov.

With the town’s rising success in foreign markets and increasing demand for goods, housing, and production, the Baron has seen fit to expand his council and spread out the administrative duties among other competent men.

With the cooperation of the Holy Palanite and the various Lords of Oren we will ensure the erection of these wayshrines is swiftly completed.

  5. A hooded individual listens in on the conversation, as the man finishes his speech he states the following, "War may be terrible and cause many deaths but in my time here I have found that it greatly helps humanity. Raising moral, uniting us, and bringing money and items into the economy. Men also gain prestige and distinguish themselves on the field of battle.

I can only say that these deaths are needed in the grand scheme of things, for humanity is stronger together than against."

  6. Now , what about the infamous (and rather controversial) Aesterwaldians? They fit nicely within the Highlander setting. They're rude , boastful and unskilled in intelligent labor (for example , knowing how to read). But , unlike they're Raevir counter-parts , they're not unique in any way besides the fact that their accent is also bat-**** insane to understand. Seriously , you could understand a bull smoking cactus green better than some people from Aesterwald. They're also uncannily similar to the mali'aheral , in the sense that they're horribly offensive to those who are 'inferior' to their way of life (EG ; the Akovians). Another thing in contrast to the Raevirs , is that the Aesterwaldians are **** at combat. Really , they can't fight. They'd be killed by a moth , if one tried to attack them.

Nestled in the southern Paveliam mountain range, the City of Montfort is the holding of the ruling house of the same name. Originally a small farming homestead, the Baron has increased his power and influence in recent months and lead the construction of the capital of Adria.

Housing is available to any who seek and so is opportunity. We require a wide range of trademasters who can help develop our economy and produce goods.

The Montfort-Stafyr Treaty of 1489, also designated as the Treaty of Werdenberg, was signed between Baron Paul de Montfort of Adria and Count Symon of Werdenberg.

In the first place we settle and covenant that there shall be from this day forward... true, faithful, constant, mutual and perpetual friendships, unions, alliances, and needs of sincere affection, and that as true and faithful friends we shall henceforth, reciprocally, be friends to friends and enemies to enemies, and shall assist, maintain, and uphold each other mutually, by sea and by land, against all men that may live and die.

In the second place we settle that House Stafyr take the contract of the Canonist Union. Count Symon Stafyr shall retain his claim over the Barony of Roswyn (Abbey of St. Godwein), his titles, his vassals and his freedom but will be bonded by the Cross of the Creator.

In the third place we settle that the Maker’s Woods are turned back into woods made for mutual hunting grounds, to be used by both Houses under the protection of Ser George Wilcon, Master of the Hunt of Adria. The land remains in possession of House Stafyr.

In the fourth place we will settle to a marriage alliance to solidify the alliance between the houses.

    The signatories of the treaty:

    House de Montfort,

    Baron Paul de Montfort

    Constable Jacques de Montfort

    Chancellor Stanimir Vladov

    House Stafyr,

    Count Symon Stafyr

  9. Baron Paul de Montfort smiles, walking down the newly paved streets of Montfort his cousin and close friend Jacques de Montfort tells him of the crowning of a Savoyard Bishop. "Canonist and Proud!" the Baron says, making a Lorraine cross with his fingers. "Perhaps we would expand our Chapel so that His Holiness will grand us a Bishopric?"

    They both nod
