  1. Bah, the reason plagiarism is bad is astoundingly obvious; you're just cheating, you're stealing, you're lying, and you're cutting off your own enjoyment of the server for yourself.

You need to come up with your own definitions, character, and ORQs. It's just a generally acceptable fact. If someone steals someone else's app they're going to get punished, and I don't know who in the right mind would not see that outcome clear as day.

The application isn't a grammar test, you're applying to create a unique character and you don't win anything if you cheat, there's no possible reward for that action.

But I'm glad you can come up with an explanation for the people who are stupid curious enough to ask why plagiarism is bad, because I couldn't, :P.

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:Using the medium of a video game to enact a story; similar to improv acting.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:Using OOC knowledge IC.

Say for instance someone says OOC over Skype that a person is giving away treasure and you head over there IC to get that treasure. It's a form of cheating.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:Forcing an action on to someone.

Say someone has harmed you and you say "I charge over there, dodging all of the attacks, and stab *PLAYER* to death". This gives *PLAYER* no chance to perform his/her own actions, and thus ruins the RPing for them.

    In-Character Details

    Character Name:Cendrus Rechka

    Character Race:Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Cendrus Rechka is a male human northerner who was born in an unknown peasant village in the north. He was born into extreme poverty. Both of his parents were indebted to a nobleman who loaned them money to purchase a small house to raise their son.

The nobleman, named Altas Mavxine, became attached to the child and noticed that he had obvious intellectual talents. The man believed with backing Cendrus could easily leave the poverty he was born into and be of massive value to the noble's reputation.

When the boy was eleven he was sent off to an academy in Arethor where he was to be given a proper education. He left in tears knowing that he may never see his family again, and when the buggy left he bawled into his sleeves. Despite this, he was as intelligent as Altas had predicted and excelled in all tiers of learning. He had an affinity for natural history and was awarded for his exceptional knowledge of the subject.

However his life turned for the worse; Cendrus, now seventeen years of age and finished with the academy, received a message from home saying that the village was in grave danger; an army had set up camp near the walls of the Mavxine castle and were ready to besiege it and raze the settlement nearby.

Cendrus promptly departed to defend his homeland, but when he arrived it was in smoldering ruins. He blamed the attack on the orcs despite the fact that he had no idea who they actually were, and unwilling to accept that they may have been Holy Oren soldiers attacking Altas for his misdeeds. He returned to Arethor, now a full-grown man, was offered a job developing military technology for the Holy Oren Empire, which he took up. He was a low-level official working as an assistant for higher-ups or gathering parts. He found the mechanical workings of normal life unfitting to him; he wanted to live with nature and uncover its mysteries in solitude.

Some time later in his work, he met a woman named Lilian Mazovic. The two fell in love and Cendrus was crushed even further when she was forced into a marriage with a soldier of the Holy Oren army. This ruined humanity for him; he spent his remaining funds to have a small home built for him by a lake to the east of Arethor; where he could live a quiet life off of game and berries he could find. He used his time writing his findings and hypotheses on the natural world.

He still could not find peace as an archduke's family passed by his house late at night and asked if they could stay. Cendrus was hesitant but allowed them to. During this time the daughter became infatuated with him and insisted they get married, to his dismay. Cendrus could not decline the offer as he risked being forced into the marriage or killed.

Knowing nowhere to flee to he used a makeshift boat to sail across the small lake near his home; abandoning all of his research and consequently, his life.

He is a sturdily built man with sky-blue eyes and sloppy brown hair; He wears a golden ring around his neck and dresses in ragged clothes. He prefers a sword and wits as a weapon.

What are your characters ambitions?:To survive, and avoid being found by the duke's men, because it could result in his death.

He does not seek vengeance on orcs however carries a distaste for them in general.

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I see a dwarf beckoning nearby people to buy something from his shop. They are quite well done with ornate dwarven patterns on armor and swords and stunningly carved gems. This is too interesting to pass up even for me, so I walk over to the store and I see his face light up as he leads me in to the shop. It was in direct contrast to the goods being sold, the store looked shabby and rundown and I wondered how such treasure was not in high demand.

I am led around and shown through the entire inventory of the shop; I see weapons truly fit for high officers; and jewels fit for kings and queens. I notice that most of it is cheaper than expected.

"I could use some new armor", I said; "Any suggestions?"

The dwarf grunts and leads me into a back-room in the shop; a cracked anvil sits in the middle alongside glimmering masterpiece armor and weaponry. I sort through it, weighing items to see if I could carry this into combat. I pick a suit of armor made of a blue metal and a sword made of sharpened steel.

I can easily spare the price of these supplies and I gladly overpay him. I get a warm feeling from making his day. I walk out the door and notice some more people coming in here noticing the fine armor I am wearing; it feels good to help out.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I was walking down the road taking in the midnight scenery when I heard agitated grunts and cries off road. I squint to see in the blackness and manage to make out two figures; one large and muscular and another short and portly. I sneak closer to them and notice that they have entered a brawl; I want to break it up but I'm afraid that I'd get killed in the process.

I notice that the larger one is an orc and something ignites inside me; flashes of my dead parents lying in the flames tormented me. Deeply I know that I could be wrong, but I can't control myself. In a fit of rage I enter the brawl; I am immediately beaten badly. I start to return blows that hit me and one of them recoiled in pain when I hit it. A new fight was born; the smaller one ran away and it was just me versus the orc. He fights viciously, a blow to the face causing my nose to bleed. I fight back to no avail, I am beaten down before I can unsheathe my sword.

Then, out of nowhere the smaller one comes back with friends; they fight off the orc and the battle is taken away from me and out of my vision. I dust myself off and wipe the oozing blood from my face. It had covered my clothing now and my golden ring was drenched in red. I sprint down the road as far as I can muster.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

The stick breaking frightens me, so I inspect the old man to see if he is okay. He is moaning in pain and coughing and I felt obliged to help him.

"Are you all right?", I ask.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking", He replies.

He tries to crawl onto his feet, but I stop him.

"I'll get you another one, don't worry."

I recall that a vicious storm had whipped by recently, I realized that I could find a good stick in the woods; so I depart after sitting the man up on a rock nearby.

It takes me a few minutes of searching and testing sticks before I find a good one. It seems sturdy and long enough to use for walking.

As I return I notice the shimmering coins on the ground.

"Should I get those for you?", I ask him.

He nods his head in reply so I get to work ; I scrape them up and put them in a small bag I had found earlier on. When he isn't looking I slip in two Minas for him to keep. I head back to him and give him the bag.

He gives me directions in return for my services, which I gladly accept, then with one last approving glance he leaves.

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Charles Smallriver is a human who lived by a lake in a small shack. He lived mostly isolated from the rest of the world, subsisting on whatever he could gather, hunt, or fish for.

His small and tranquil world was shattered one day when royalty travelled near his forest and he caught the princess's eye.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Well, as scared as I am of others, if I had the knowledge of this I could not will myself not to help out; not to mention his wares could be of use to me.

I walk up to him and take a deep breath; "Here I go", I think. Okay, it's less scary then I think. All of these goods are affordable; let's think, okay I could probably use a bow, and maybe a sword? I reach for the silver coins in my pocket, I drop two onto the counter and that's enough for him, all done, I'm in a cold sweat now; I'm such a coward.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Oh no, this is bad; really bad, I can't not help him but I can't help him either. Okay, now or never. I steady my aim and shoot a warning at the two; they break up and the orc is after me; I'm running now.

I know that I'll get tired before it does; so i stop short; the poor thing keeps running and crashes onto the road. I run up a tree and he tries to shake me down. My grip isn't exactly made of steel, but I think I can hold on.

I can't hold my aim for a deadly bow shot, so I drop my sword and it falls on the orc's head and kills him.

So I just run down the road not bothering to grab it.

What does your character do?: I don't dare think of it, I help the man up and sneak some gold into his pouch so he could afford better care.

I leave, but keeping watch with my bow so no scum can hurt him or take advantage of his age; and it's safe; I continue my journey.
