  1. I want earnest opinions backed preferably with either knowledge of the region's history or personal experience. My grandfather and I are planning a trip to cross the globe. We are definitively riding the TranSiberian from Moscow to Ulanbaataar as well as the Indian Pacific from Perth to Sydney Australia. We have yet to figure out a European route. Can any British, or other European folks give me some ideas of both regions to visit and/or routes to travel by bike, foot, train, and/or renta...

      You'll definitely want to visit the Yorkshire Dales in England, as well as those other unimportant counties. Oh, and Scotland is great whatever time of year.
