In-Character Details Character Name: Joseph Williams (later on called Vengeance) Character Race: Human Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: His name was once Joseph is a Southeron as well as the rest of his family. He grew up on a large farm with his parents and his 3 siblings’ two younger brothers and 1 younger sister. They lived in the Isle of Salvus since his parents desired a peaceful life. However, unlike the rest of them, Joseph always wanted an adventure, he one day bought an old sword and began training with it. He became a decent swordsman until his parents took away his sword when he was 14. They told him to put all of his training efforts into helping on the family farm. Joseph tried and tried, but in the end he gave in and watched his parents lock up his beloved sword "Iron-fist"; so it was Joseph's life went on until he turned 16. It all started one day, when his house attacked. The house lit on fire and Joseph started to run. On his way out, he saw something in a burnt chest that he hadn't scene in 2 years. His sword "Iron-fist" was laying there. He ran to save it, and picked up the scorched blade. He began to ran to find out who'd razed his family's home. He found nothing, but in rage presumed the only possibility was thieves. It was after this incident that he swore to do what was right and always strive to do what was right. He swore any wrongdoer he saw would be taught a lesson. He decided to leave for the capitol of the Holy Oren empire, and start a living and try to forget about what happened. So it was he left his ruined home after burying his family, to get to the city. However, fate had a different course planned for his life... Joseph eventually reached the capitol city and decided to search for work. As he was walking up a back alley, he saw a thug harassing an old man and decided to help him. Joseph went to attack the thug, but was instead ambushed by the thug's henchmen. He was left in the ally robbed of everything but his clothes which were torn up from the fight, and was barely alive. He couldn't remember anything except a few fragments of his memory which were the fire, his family, how to use a sword, and his promise. He was found by an elderly man who with the help of some others nearby took him inside... A few hours later... Joseph woke up on a bed with a small candle next to him. He has a scar across his bare chest from where he was struck by one of the thug's henchmen, not that he remembered it... The man rushed into the room upon hearing his groans of pain. "You're awake!" He said excitedly. "We thought we'd lost you!" Joseph looked up. "Where am I?" He asked weakly. The man simply replied, "Somewhere that you are safe, now get some rest." Joseph fell asleep and had a dream full of turmoil and pain, the fragmented memories he'd lost swirling in his head. Throughout the dream he heard himself saying one word "Vengeance." When he woke up it was morning. The old man was sitting waiting, and handed him some food. "Thank you, sir." Joseph said. "You're welcome, and besides you're weak you'll need it." The man took the dishes to another room, and came back. "What's you're name son?" He asked. Joseph looked at him puzzled. "It's..." He suddenly realized he didn't know. "It's... I don't know..." He said softly. "But I'll go by...Vengeance." So it was, Joseph began going by Vengeance... After, recovering Joseph went on to work and repay the man for his hospitality, he worked under the man for a few months. Eventually, about 4 years later the old man died, and Vengeance tried to find a new job. He decided to leave and make a new living. So it was that he left and started yet another new life, as a bard and at times did mercenary work. It was a hard and weary life living on the road, but at least he could survive… One day, after a particularly hard job where he had to beat a gang of thieves up to teach them a lesson, he decided it was time to go back to the city and settle down. This is where his story is now... He’s 21 and trying to find work at local inns and taverns. What are your characters ambitions?: He dreams to find the lost memories of his past, and to eventually gain money to open a successful tavern/inn Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: I can't upload a ingame shot online, but I'll show a picture of my skin. Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: I feel the story covered Joseph/Vengeance’s character fairly well. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I would walk up to the dwarf and look him in the eyes, and the say: “Good day master dwarf. I’m looking for some ores and supplies to repair my sword.” The dwarf replies, “Aye lad I happen to have some right ‘ere.” He rummages through his wares and pulls out a few stone and iron ingots. “Take your pick sir.” He said looking up at me. I reached down and picked up the iron ingots and asked him, “How much do you want for these 3 ingots?” The dwarf looked up and said, “10 minas per piece.” I look at him and say, “Here take 15 per piece, you seem to need it more than me.” I would then place down the coins and grab the ingots, and quickly leave before the dwarf could object to the extra money. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I would pull out my blade, “Iron-fist” and shout, “I’m giving ye’ a warning Orc! Put down the dwarf!” The Orc looks at me and says, “Why should I listen to ye’ puny ‘ittle hewman? I can easily rip of your puny ‘ittle head!” The Orc pulled out a weapon and pointed it at me. While the Orc was pulling out his weapon though, I simply ran towards the dwarf and shouted, “RUN!” As the dwarf ran away, I quickly spun around and pointed my sword at the Orc. The Orc just looked down and laughed, he then said, “Puny hewman, thought he could help, I’ll make ye’ regret t’is forever!” The Orc lunged at me and I rolled out of the way attempting to stab at him as I rolled away. The Orc swung at me with his club, but I dodged most of the blow, so he just grazed left arm. “Had enough hewman?” He asked me grinning. I looked at him and said, “I haven’t even begun to fight.” With that I swung at him with my blade. The Orc tried to dodge, but I was too fast. The blade struck him in the chest and he groaned in pain. He dropped his club and I picked it up trading it for my sword. I swung for his head in an attempt to knock him out. I watched the Orc groan and then go unconscious as the club struck him. I then looked at him and with obvious bitterness in my voice I said, “You have a good night Orc.” With that I dropped the club and grabbed “Iron-fist”. I then proceeded to walk down the road sheathing my sword. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?: I rush up to the man and quickly gather all of his money in the bag. I then handed it to him, and asked, “Are you all right sir?” The man looked at me and said, “Yes, I’m fine I just need a new stick.” I looked at him, smiled, and then replied, “I can solve that problem.” I helped the man up and got him to a place he could sit safely. “Wait here.” I told him, and then I went to find a tree and chopped a stick to carve. After I got the stick, I carved it with my pocket knife, and then I went back to the man. “Here you go sir.” I said smiling as I held out the stick. “Thank you lad.” The man said, “Here this is for your help.” The man held out some Minas, but I just closed his hand around it in a fist, and said, “No sir I don’t need it, but thank you.” With that said I continued down the road humming a peaceful tune.

The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I always like to help people wherever I go. I would simply walk up to the dwarf and ask him “How’s business master dwarf?” I would then wait for his response if business was going well for him, I would let him get on with his work. On the other hand if he wasn’t doing that well, I would extend to him the hand of friendship and do him a favor. I would buy from the man and/or make a donation. This would be determined by how bad conditions were for him at the time. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I would quite simply draw “Iron-fist” and walk up to the orc and say, “Now I don’t want any trouble orc, just let go of the dwarf and let him get on with his life.” If the orc didn’t respond I would give him yet another warning and say, “Put him down or you’ll meet my blade.” Finally, if that didn’t work I would try to beat him until he learned his lesson. If I succeeded in beating the orc, I would leave the dwarf be and go on my way, I never expect thanks. If I failed to beat the orc, I would just distract him long enough and scream, “RUN!” In hopes that the dwarf would listen and run away. I am strong enough to survive a fight, so I would take the beating and let the dwarf get away. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. What does your character do?: I would walk to the old man and ask him, “Are you all right sir?” I would then proceed to help him up. After I got him back up I would give him his coins and reseal his bag. Then I would ask him, “Can you walk without your stick sir?” If he answers yes I would let him go on his way. If he said no, I would try to find something else to substitute the stick or find a tree and carve him a new stick. I would then let the man go on his way and proceed with my own daily life after saying goodbye to the man.

In-Character Details Character Name: Joseph Williams Character Race: Human Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Jospeh grew up in a family of farmers on the outskirts of the territory of the human kingdom near a large village. His family had a small ranch, with a large house in the center. At the age of 16 his parents died after a harsh winter in which they got critically ill; Joseph now inherited his family's farm, but with a bunch of siblings to take care of, he couldn't run the farm on his own. Eventually at the age of 18 he left his siblings with an old family friend in charge and left to gain wealth with which he could support his siblings. Joseph took the remaining money, just a few coins and headed out to find his fortune. This is where his story truly began. At first Joseph tried labor work and he eventually became very strong from it. He constantly sent his siblings money. He was very successful, and intended to someday go to the village and set up a tavern, but his dreams died shortly after. Joseph one day, received a letter informing him that his family had been killed by bandits. They'd razed his farm and he now had nothing but the few coins he'd kept for himself. Joseph went into mourning and after the funeral decided it was time to go into the village for a better job, but fate had different plans for him. As he walked towards the village , he ran into a few bandits. In rage at what happened, he killed them with brute strength and slayed their heads. After which he skewered them on sticks and left them as a sign. Joseph then continued to the city, feeling a proud feeling. He thought he'd avenged his family. However, when he got to the village he discovered that the bandits killing his family was just a rumor. However, after further examination he discovered that that the fire wasn't caused by bandits. He found out later also, that the bandits he'd killed were just 3 poor kids a few years younger then him. He was now 20 and was still haunted by his guilt. He would do anything to do the right thing, just to make up for killing those 3 kids. What are your characters ambitions?: To make up for killing the 3 bandits, and to open a successful business Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: I can't get a ingame picture but I'll put the skin. Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Nothing really left to say, I think Joseph is covered well in my backstory Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. I would walk up to the dwarf and ask to view his wares. I always feel bad for the poor since I had lost everything when I was 18. I would ask him how business was and if there was evidence he was having economic troubles, then I would buy something just to give the man some money to survive. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? If I saw such an act of violence, I would defend the victim by first trying to break up the fight. If such a tactic didn't work... I would then try to intimidate the Orc and try to get him to back off. My final idea would be to attack the Orc and try to scare him off, but not injure him that badly. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Since I strive to do good, I would first help the man up and put him over my shoulder and then I would get the coins and carefully place them in my own pack. After, getting the man to a safer place, I would give him his coins and leave him to his own life. I wouldn't expect thanks, it's the least I could do to even start helping to make up for my sins in the past.
