  4. In all seriousness, it is a great idea. Does anyone have ideas for the names of the next village?
  5. Felix watches some halfling stomp off into the Witch Woods in a crying fit. He sighs. "Bit touched in th' 'ead in't 'e."
  6. "Aye," says Felix, "tha' sounds jus' fine."
  7. Felix the II, the descendent of Dalek the Demented has a glorious mask of gold molded for his regal face. He thinks to himself, "I am the potato."
  8. Felix crouches down to the little hobbit's height. "No, little one. I'm just th' son o' ol' Mr.Felix."
  9. Felix Featherfoot II has arrived. This time with a 100% equal amount of Hobbit fun-time.

  10. A system like you've suggested would consist of well over half the active population. Three ruling little folk, and of course the sheriff, are about all our population can really handle.
  11. The day had been quiet in the village of Lenfarthing. The little folk piddled around, doing a whole lot of nothing. Some sat deciding on a new elder, some rallied for a new gatehouse with a complimentary burrow extension, but most simply sat enjoying the evening air. Then from down the road, a dusty figure appeared. His clothes were dirty and his face was smudged like many before him. His features seemed familiar to those who saw it. Wizened blue eyes took in the sights of the town, and his coarse brown hair sat largely unkempt on his head, blowing in a soft wind. He'd come to discover his new life, as well as his father's old one. This, of course, was Felix Featherfoot the II. Born of a mother Felix the I once loved. His father had left his mother after a night of passion and lust 25 years ago. She named him after the only family he had. Sadly, his mother died in childbirth, and he was left to be raised by a kindly hobbit farmer who brought him up in the old ways. When the man told him of his father, he immediately set out to find him. Now he sat on the outskirts of Lenfarthing, like his father once had, exhausted and world-worn. He made his way across the village to Featherfoot Hollow, where the elderly Faldo Featherfoot told Felix of his father's passing. Felix found his clothes that'd sat unused for years, and donned them. Inside his father's chest he found many books of poems and memoirs of adventures long past. What remained of his father's life lay before him now, and he found a deep and gratifying peace in it. With a content sigh he set upon the village to drink and be merry with his own kind. Felix the II had found a new home that day, and a new heart.
  12. Six irl months, so it makes it easier to track.
  13. If Felix were still alive, he would throw his lot in with Posco.
  14. We should issue a Hobbit calendar pdf file with the holidays that you can pin up on your wall.

  16. Yep. I feel like that is why so much of our community is really relaxed. We rp to take a break, not be the very best that ever was.
  17. I feel that if the road is clearly marked, and clearly leads to the town square, it won't matter where we put the majority of the housing. Being nestled in the shadow of the mountain, and across the river is exactly how Lenfarthing is and that doesn't cause any troubles. The trouble is finding any sort of path to the village. Everything is just a plethora of gates and sparse trails. It took me at least 2 sessions (and a good bit of Forum Mesages) to find Lenfarthing my first time, but a branch splitting off the highway sorts that out in my opinion.
  18. Farms wouldn't be as much of a barrier if you didn't half to walk through all the bloody fence gates.
  19. There is actually a thread devoted to just that. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/99010-halfling-naming-conventions/ Take a gander.
  20. If we have it behind the river, that makes it extremely concentrated. We're constricted from spreading out too much that way.
  21. I feel like we should concentrate the burrows on the side of the river closest to the mountain, and have the rest filled with the fields and other terrain features. That way, we have a nice checkpoint in the form of a bridge to form a gate on, and we get a nice wheaty buffer that helps with the seclusion, but attracts and fascinates players.
