I'm not completely sure if people will actually roleplay it the way how perfect it'd be. People will shoot you and expect you to die with a single shoot, even if it's close or long range. Best way to find out tbh would be trial lore, but i'm still unsure even about the trial part. People don't powergame any less than mages do because both of them are people (not trying to sound like a sjw)

You aren't comprehending what I'm saying. People can powergame with the potential guns but they can also powergame with literally any other weapon in the game, to no worse an extent. You are right, people could shoot you and expect you to die in a single shot. People can also shoot you with a crossbow and expect you to die in a single shot. Or slash you with a sword and expect you to die instantly. While it is possible to powergame with these potential guns, you cannot powergame any more than with any other weapon. It is not worse or easier to powergame with or more powergamey than anything else.

Medeusculors also were a re-flavored staff and they were powergamed. Everyone powergamed medeusculors, or they sounded very powergame-ish. The issue could be with magic. Everyone has issues with magic.

I also recall there was this guy carrying a gauntlet that could charge some sort of genki-dama and shoot them while running around (a problemn with magic) It's not a re-flavoured crossbow, people will alter it to fit their own setting and get their way around having one-shot weapons.

Maybe magic could be too overpowered and combat-oriented instead of roleplay-oriented? @The Pink Lion

Medasculors were powergamed because they were thru magic. What was powergamed about them was the magic aspect. The kinds of guns people are talking about adding, early firearms, are literally inferior to crossbows. You cannot powergame with them any more than you can with a crossbow. Sure, there will be people who claim to be super duper expert sharpshooters who never ever miss.. but those people already exist. They just do it with a crossbow. It's a crossbow with inferior aim and inferior load time plus a chance to explode in your face. It can't be powergamed any more than any other weapon

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Striga, known by the commonfolk as either Vampires and Vampyres, are immortals creatures born of an infernal pact with creatures known as the Unseen, vile beings of darkness which reside in the Nether, and are born of a dark ritual. They are 'blessed' with enhanced strength and speed as well as regenerative properties to most mundane wounds though suffer from a severe weakness to flames, aurum and silver, as well as the magics bestowed by the Aenguls.

Not many survive an encounter with a Striga due to their ability to transform into a bestial form, something batlike with fangs and claws, when cornered and provoked, not even mortal anymore due to their vile deal. Their weakness to anything of the holy nature is often the hardest to overcome, with wounds suffered from such usually taking anywhere from weeks to years to heal depending on the severity, further proof of their anathama nature.

Unlike the mortal descendents the Striga feasts upon the warm blood of the living, finding no sustenance from things such as meats and fruits.

Wargames were conducted outside of the Orenian capital, Adelburg, with Imperial, Lorraine and Haense levies participating. There were some allegations of cheating, but by the large, those that participated were satisfied, and the forces of Lorraine took the victory. Both sides of the battle rallied at around 40 soldiers, displaying the martial prowess of the Empire.

Elias Colborn would endeavor to contact the editors of the advisory, informing them of their mistake. Haense had not participated in the Imperial wargames.

I killed Quetzacoatl who was in a Ruthern banner men uniform at the time alongside NathanBarnett and Keaton.

Then please write "Ruthern bannerman" instead of "Ruthern."

One day he was patrolling around the palace, he and Ser Corvus spotted a Ruthern along the palace's roof and alerted the king. He successfully nutralized and killed the traitor and saved the day.

I'd honestly appreciate it if you didn't put literal lies in your character bio especially when they're about my groups. Not sure if you meant a Greyspine Coalition soldier or spy, in which case you could amend your post, but there was never an instance in which a Ruthern was killed on the roofs of the palace.

  9. 1. Horen

    2. Carrion

    3. Chivay

    4. Rovin

    5. De Sola

This is assuming we're counting cadet branches. I put Carrion above Chivay because, while House Chivay may have had a slightly more prominent effect on LotC than House Carrion, House Carrion's cadet branches have shaped a tremendous amount of the rp world of LotC in a way that those of House Chivay have not.

Rovin is also seeming underrated here and I think that's a TRAGEDY! Aesterwald and Waldenian culture were both huge and extremely influential, still to this day. The OSL took the roots of military order rp from the Teutons and the White Rose and essentially modernized them. I think it's a tragedy that they aren't listed for so many people. De Sola is responsible for toppling the Chivay monarchy and their cadet branches (D'Amaury) are now kings of their own right in Lorraine. Despite being more modern, they have a very significant legacy and have made a large enough impact to secure a number 5 spot.

Staunton is a speck in server history. Having taken out the 5th empire is impressive, but not impressive enough to get a spot on the top 5 considering they have contributed nothing else besides a small and insignificant kingdom that collapsed on its second ruler. No offense to the Stauntons there, I'm not trying to downplay the impressive feats by vegetarianism and co.

Ruric is also not on the top 5. They're even less so than house Staunton and its p laughable that anyone would consider them influential. They have no real influence on anything, the most they can claim is having been a catalyst for an anti oren coalition that failed back in vailor. They're important in modern day lotc, but not influential.

Savoy was powerful to be sure, but I don't think they were influential or culturally significant in the way the others are. They're probably number 6.

I didn't list DeNurem because, while the Teutons were certainly hugely influential, they weren't all DeNurems or a DeNurem order.

But that's true though to be fair, Norland does have the better fighters.

That's funny because haense held an equal numbers skirm with you about a week back and Norland lost. I have a very distinct memory of malgonious getting combod down by 4 year old natalie barbanov

But I guess that's all orenian propaganda right guys all hail norland obviously the superior pvpers dude norlands never lost a single battle trust me dude malgonious is the best pvper on the entire server dude

  11. Very happy to see the norlandic peoples successfully making their rp and enjoying their time on a casual minecraft roleplaying server!

Sure is good to know that no one in this community is immature enough to start a **** measuring contest about who has more premium minecraft roleplay and is therefore superior.

Also is nice to to know that our community is mature enough to hage civil discourse on the forums without slinging **** and making ooc posts targeting other minecraft rp groups under the guise of "banter"
