I kept getting newsletters, so i finally checked it out. What is roleplaying?: roleplaying is a player pretending to be a character (usually of the players creation) and interacting with other players/characters. What is metagaming?: metagaming is using information that you know OOC that you wouldn't know IC What is powergaming?: powergaming is forcing actions on a character like "Jimmy was crushed, and killed instantly by Liam's mighty hammer" In-Character Information Character’s name: Laenlin Elderseed Character’s gender: female Character’s race: Wood Elf Character’s age: 19 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Laelin was born in the realm of Athera. For as long a she can remember she's lived in the State of Laureh'lin. She lived a good life growing up with a happy family, and she still carries that happiness within her. Laelin believes in Malin and greatly respects the beliefs of her people. She lived he childhood learning the ways of the Wood Elves. She's heard stories of the great lands the were settled in the past. Although, she plans on steering clear of the past and heading into the future. Laelin's heard that not all places are like her home, and she's nervous to leave, but she knows it will be worth it. Laelin feel as though the time has come for her to choose her fate. Now that she is an adult she is planning on heading out soon on her quest of self discovery. Personality Traits: She is shy, and keeps to her self, yet she is brave as a lion, believing in herself every step of the way. Ambitions: She wants to have become a dryad by the time her quest is over, that way she will feel accomplished and great. Strengths/Talents: She is slightly above average intelligence, no in literature, but in academics. She is swift while running, and moves through the forest like she's done it on million times before. Weaknesses/Inabilities: She has a hard time conveying her emotions to others. Also, she is quite weak, she can shoot a bow and arrow. but if an enemy catches her, she's done for. Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): she stands at 5'1" being a few inches shorter than average short elves. I've been receiving newsletters since the very beginning and finally decided to see what lord of the craft was all about. The server seems great, and i think the community seems wonderful, but someone like me who is not familiar with roleplay, and doesn't have time to read every last piece of lore will have a tough time joining this community. I'm excited to try and apply but i feel i need to meet people from the forums, and get a feel for the amount of roleplay before i officially apply, and join. If someone has the time to work with me and teach me how to roleplay, i feel i finally might be able to join the server, and be immersed in this wonderful community. ~Froggy (the roleplay noob)
