In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: Simply put yourself into a character. A bit like drama. You have the background informations, you got the personal details and stuff, and you act and do as the character is. But since here you get to choose your own character, it can be more 'yourself'.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Taking knowledge you know in real life and using it in your character. Basically giving your character knowledge that he does not know yet.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power-emoting is simply using words that make the other person can't have a choice.

    In-Character Details

    Character Name: Arahael

    Character Race: High Elf

Skin: Please see my signature (Spoiler)

Character biography - Arahael the High Elf is the classic scholar. Perches on top of her nose is a pair of round, black-rimmed glasses. In her hands are always a pile of books. As a High Elf she is tall, she strides in a graceful, confident manner.  She is young yet mature, age 85, just finished her various studies at Haelun'or College. But now that Even though, she often just sits in the library to read her books or to study, she is slim and nimble and unlike other elves she fights well. Her favorite weapon is the berr (elvish bow). Far from the prey's vision, she calculates, until on the precise moment she releases her bow and hits her target, just on the windpipe. Everybody thinks her as a diligent, hardworking, carefree lady, however deep down Arahael longs for adventure. Hoping one day, she can be a ranger.

Arahael prefers fruit and vegetables. You often see her nibbling on a nice red apple. Even though Arahael is concentrating on her book, always remember that her ear is open! The trait of inquisitiveness is still in every High Elf. She can be reading but after hearing some gossip, she will join in the conversation immediately.

Arahael was brought up as an only child. Her parents are also academic people and they earn enough to keep their house and to give their daughter quite a rich life. Her parents wants her to be a Master Scholar of the Humanities Branch and to join the Association of Robed Librarians. They have given everything to push her daughter to the highest point during her education. Other than to be a Master Scholar, her parents want Arahael to be either a scribe, writer, historian or a librarian.

Arahael and her family were born in the Elder Tree City of Normandor. However to make Arahael's studies more convenient they moved to Haelun'or. Her parents had their honeymoon at ArmaLuna. Arahael's traveling dreams is to one day have a nice holiday there.

Vanya is currently 660 years old. She is Arahael's father. She is a writer and has many books published. Her names means beautiful. Even though she was not the most prettiest among her peers, her writing skill cannot be described. In her books, words seem to flow out like water, full of emotions, full of meaning. When Arahael's father Evarir'Maln saw her work, he fell for her. Even more when he decided to send her a love poem, he fell even more when Vanya returned to poem by giving him one too. And it was very beautiful. Vanya continues to write as one of her hobbies.

Evarir'Maln is Arahael's father. He is a scientist and often spends the whole day in his room trying to discover something new. However he never lacks time and space for his daughter to climb up his lap and watch him work. Evarir'Maln is a dutiful father, he raised his daughter with the best resources. He put his daughter as his first priority. His name means protector and father. As he was destined, he provided his best for his family.

Last studying days at Haelun'or College

I gazed at the blue sky and took a deep breath. The air of the school, the air of studies, the air of books and education. Holding my books tightly against my chest, I slowly stepped into the library. Rows and rows of bookshelves stood tall and high. The echoes of pages turning. Hollow footsteps of librarians. I felt at home. I stretched my hand out, my fingertips brushing the row of books. Then I stepped closer, tracing the spines of the books with my hands. How I love Haelun'or City. How I love its college. It has been my home. The place where I belong.

Tomorrow will be my day to leave Haelun'or City. My bags where packed at home. Long ago, my parents begged me to stay here. But no. I would like to roam the roads, taste adventure. I told my parents that it will be a learning experience. To try to be independent. Without the normal luxuries of life.

Suddenly I remember I was in the library. I continued to walk along the isle. Then I stopped as I reached my target. My life of Words the title said. Below it, it said the name Vanya. My mom. I gently esed the book out from the shelves, I stroked the worn leather cover. A tear glistened in my eye. When I leave Haelun'or, I will miss them indeed.

However I have made my decision. I had spent my previous years studying. My knowledge is much but I do not have experience. I shall travel to Malinor, to search for a job, to join a guild, to earn a position in the councils.

I will bring my trusty satchel. All the Minas I saved throughout the years of allowance. My secret berr and arrows. And my family heirloom, a studded dagger. Finally I will bring my favorite books, a diary and of course some red ripe apples.

That night, I dreams of adventures. Of a occupation. Of friends. I dream of my future. My life...

Ambitions: Arahael wants to be a Master Scholar of the Humanities Branch and to join the Association of Robed Librarians.

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I felt very curious. I leans down and studied his face. A mane of fiery red hair. This is the first time I have seen a dwarf. My thoughts where interrupted by a gruff voice. 'Whatcha looking at, young lady? Never seen a hearty dwarf before? Ha!' Oh it was the dwarf I thought! Not wanting to linger on but feeling the pity towards him I say 'Greetings, Bortu. What have you to offer me?' The dwarf harrumphed and looked at me. 'You look like a nice lady, what do ya think about a pretty diamond necklace?' Oh, help the poor dwarf I thought. I could always earn more money once I get a job at Malinor. 'Fine deal. Here take the Minas.' I stretched my hand out with a open palm of coins. He snatched the coins from my hair. Rifled through his hair, produced a diamond and attached a link to it. I was unsure about the hygiene of the diamond but I smiled and hung it around my neck. 'Nice doing business with you. Miss! Smooth Journey!' The dwarf shouts as I continue on my road.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I immediately took a few steps backwards, back towards the shades. Seeing the dwarf continuously crying for help. From my back, I slowly unslung my bow. Knowing it would be unwise to intervene, I stepped out from the shadows. Still I confronted the orc. 'Greetings, Uruk and Bortu, this is late time. I heard loud sounds coming from here, do you need assistance?' 'None of your petty business, elf!' I felt indignant about this remark. How could he? The High Elves are the superior race, he was the lowest, how dare he call me like that. 'Mind your words, orc. And leave the Bortu alone, what has he done?' The orc turned and snarled at me, 'Well what do you think such a useless dwarf has? Only ores and diamonds I need. To craft my new armor and tools. And it seems like you, young lady are going to join him. Hmmm, what do you have? Aha the diamond necklace, Haha! I have not chosen the wrong person.' Even as I stare at the orc, using my hands I waved to the dwarf telling him to leave the scene. As the dwarf was trying to crawl away, the orc noticed him. As the orc turned around to grab the dwarf, I shot him on the upper thigh. The orc slowly turned around, gaping, gasping. 'Nice trick up your sleeve, miss.' He spat on the ground, and hobbled away. Neither did I or the dwarf chase him, I shot him in the thigh because I did not want to kill him. The dwarf thanked me and we walked separate ways.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?
I knelt in-front of him, and gently took the old man's arms and pulled him up. 'Are you okay?' I say. Huskily he replies, 'Yes, I'm alright.' As he stands up, I go and collect the coins and the bits of the broken staff. I hand it to him. Then I say 'Wait here, sir, I'll go get you a new staff. With my heirloom, I went to a tree and cut down a branch. Then shaving the sharp bits off, I fashioned a handle. I passed the old man my newly made staff. I say 'Dear Sir, This will do for the next few days. I am sorry I cannot provide you a better quality staff. Here let me give you a few coins so that you can buy a new better one when you reach your destination.' I go to my pouch around my belt to take so coins out. Even though I know he is rich enough to buy a new one, sharing is caring. And I felt nice for doing good. I continue to stride along the road to Malinor while glancing at my open book.

Here what I think meta-gaming is, is simply know extra knowlege which you are using to put yourself in an advantages position. In simpler words, using extra knowledge to cheat.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power-emoting is simply using words that make the other person can't have a choice.

I felt very curious, I stood in front of the poor dwarf and studied his bearded face. Frankly, I found him very cute, I giggled. However scared that the dwarf will think that I was mocking him, I stood straight and told him suggest the best piece he think that will be suitable for me. The dwarf after rifling his hair, he produced a diamond. I pitied the poor cute dwarf and I gave him more money than what the diamond was worth and tossed him an apple. I smiled at the dwarf, and attached the diamond to my necklace.

As I silently notched an arrow, I looked towards the sky. The moon was bright and full. I thought, if he just looked full on the moon, he would be momentally blinded. I took my apple from the my backpack. With a swift graceful motion, I threw the apple just between the large orc and the moon, as he looked up my arrow was already in mid-air. As he stretched his neck towards the sky, the arrow pierced his throat. He fell on his knees and out from his mouth escaped his last sigh. I rushed towards the dwarf to help him up. The dwarf bowed deeply to me, in my heart, I was glad he was safe, but I could not avoid the blooming self-respect in my heart.
