What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - The "no strip mining" rule. You've no idea how much it bothers me seeing players mine without supports - it bothers me even more seeing 2:1 tunnels. Powergaming would also be when a player RPs as if their character is superman without a kryptonite. What’s your character called?: - John Glass What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 19 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - John Glass was born in the streets of Abresi, from what he and most others can tell. Rather, he was found in the streets of Abresi. John was picked up by a local man and woman, the folk he called his parents, off the streets, amongst a pile of broken glass. Wrapped up in a blanket which protected his fleshy, pink skin, the baby slept the entire way back to his new home. John's early years were the best of his life. He can remember his mother - or the woman he called mother -, who at that time called him 'Glass.' She was a beautiful woman. Her long, golden hair. Her bright smile. Unable to conceive any children of her own, she took John as if he were her own son. And John took her as if she were his own mother. In fact, for the longest time, he did. It wasn't until the age of seven, when John's mother died, that his father told him the truth whilst he was in the midst of grieving. See, John and his father were never very close. It's not that they really disliked eachother, it's just that they didn't see eachother as father and son - not like John saw his mother as just that, his mother. At the age of thirteen, John's father died in a cave-in inside of the Abresi Mines. John grieved for his father, but he did not cry as he did when his mother died. See, John respected him. He clothed him. He fed him. He raised him by himself - and he wasn't even his son. With the help of a few of his father's friends and co-workers, John burried his father. Two days after his father's death, he grabbed his father's old pickaxe and went down to the mines. John never felt comfortable being called Glass, nor did he feel it comfortable or fitting to use his Father's last name, just on account of the relationship he and his father had. Instead, young Glass adopted his father's first name - John. Thus the name, John Glass. Today, John Glass still lives in Abresi. He still works in the Abresi Mines. He still heads down to the Dragon Hearths Inn for a drink after a hard day's work before heading home. What are they like (personality)?: - John is not one for conflict. Be it arguing or physical confrontation. He's a rather simple, yet friendly fellow. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he'll work up until he breaks or the job is done. What are their ambitions?: - Ambitions? John's ambitions, if you can call them that, are rather simple. He wants to take up permenant residence in Abresi, perhaps eventually starting a family, living into old age, and dying peacefully in his sleep, if he should be so lucky. Do they have any special skills?: - John is by all means, an unskilled laborer. He can mine. Give him an axe and a bit of instruction, and perhaps he'll be able to lumber. That's about it, for John Glass. What are their weaknesses?: - John isn't much of a fighter. Working in the mines has booned him with a degree of upper body strength, however, dust and other such particles have taken a bit of a toll on his lungs, even at his young age. This effects his endurance in a negative way, without a doubt. He can read and write, at a basic level, and no more. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - John stands at around 5'10", 145 pounds. Light brown hair, what some people would call the color of 'dried mud.' Green eyes, most likely being his only attractive feature. His clothes are dusty and worn. Anything else you want to say about them?: - He's a pretty simple guy, John Glass, thus the less-than-ambitious ambitions.
