Can someone else please check this because the guy who put this on pending has not come on yet, and I don't have much of my 24 hours left. Out-Of-Character Information Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: krazykidman How old are you?: 13 Time-Zone: GMT/Southern England Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes, and will follow them to the end. What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I have played on a Harry Potter server with a player named Ventios, and a few other Lord of the Rings servers as well. How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I heard Ventios talking about it on a Lord of the Rings server and decided to check it out. Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: I have yet to make an application. Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): I have posted it on a Lorrenil McForums account. Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: I am following the Halfling lore, because that is what my character will be. Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: A great way to act out as a new character. You have to be nice to people, because, like in real life, your actions have consequences too. Meta-gaming: Using information your character would never have known in-game. Say your character was a halfling, but told people all of the Dwarven mines, and even where they went, looked like, and smelled, even if you had never been out of your Burrow. Power-emoting: Abusing the right to emote. Where you use emoting, but making it unchangeable, or so someone cannot counter it at all. Using just emoting you could say "Frinchen tried to eat the bacon", but using power-emoting you could say "Frinchen the mighty gloriously ate the bacon with such might he broke the fork it was hanging on". (Sorry for the exageration, just trying to show how it overpowers any emoting used). In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Lorrenil Monitil (male) Current Age: 24 Sub-race (if any): Halfling Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Living in Branborough,he is a young, friendly Halfling who has much love to share. He and his friend Fendor, of whom he has spent much time with as Fendor's parents did not spend much time with Fendor themselves. His parents were loving and kind, and that rubbed off on Lorrenil. He was always being friendly to the people around him, and that got him very popular in his town. He did not have a very exciting past, except for the few birthdays where he got some cooking tools, for that was his love. He always loved helping Fendor with his brewery skills, even if he wasn't very good at it. It was only when he was 17, and Fendor was 13, that something happened. Fendor's father disappeared, and as Fendor had to get a job, he and Lorren spent little time together. That was when he decided to start working himself. He got a job in a bakery, and began his happy life of cooking. At the age of 21 he started to realise that, as he was growing older, he needed his own property, but he did not worry about that yet. He loved the smell of a nice morning loaf, and as he crafted them every day, he cherished the warm scents of the cooking wheat. He spent hours a day just looking at his recipe books, and as his father owned the wheat farm, he used only family products. He agreed that as he grew older, he would buy the farm off his father, and make his own bread business, not work for someone else. But just as he was going to ask his father, the man ran into the room and told him and his mother that his farm had been sold off for many a coin. They now had no need to work, but Lorren would not give up his dream so easily. Before Lorrenil could start to leave for a new burrow of his own, though, he had a cooking accident, and badly burnt his hand. His parents had to go out to find Blissfoil, and after an hour of terrible pain, he was subdued by the Blissfoils effects. He could feel no pain, but only after a year had the wounds actually healed, and then he was still wary of cooking. He wasted 2 years of getting himself back together, and in that 2 years, he regrew his love for cooking, and skill for it too. At the age of 24, the on the same day as Fendor had the same idea, he left his home for a burrow of his own, and to have his own family to live with as well. Ambitions for the Future: To become the owner of a great bakery, he hopes to gain many a coin out of the business, and to gain a wife, and have children of his own. Personality: Confident, kind, and always happy. His love for cooking is also the main tap of his huge amount of energy; he could run round the village 5 times in a few minutes with all that energy. Skills: Cooking, and being nice. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Young, and clean, he is light skinned and has a shaggy haircut. Very hard to miss. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1e2oqnqj54d2yxb/Lorrenil%20Pictures.rar (the link to the screenshots and skin file) Any other details you wish to share about your character: He always wishes to fall in love with a beautiful halfling girl, and settle down with a family of his own. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: I am very nervous of this man, so I quietly walk away, turning round every so often to see if he is following me. A guard rushes up to me and asks hurriedly "have you seen a dark hooded figure around this area, heading towards the Emperor?" I am scared by this chain of events and tell him of what I have seen. I watch as the guard runs away behind me, to the dark figure. Little do I know moments later, that the last person that guard ever talked to was me. As I hear the news of the Emperors escape from a dark hooded figure, and the death of a guard, I fear that I did not do enough to help the situation, but also knowing that there was not much I could do. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: I am no warrior, but with the sword, I could try and do some good. shout to the Bandits "Hey look over here!", and startled, they turn on me and shout a battle cry. I have given the old man time to run back into his home, and lock the door. But as for me, I scramble up a tree, dropping my sword as I go. The Bandits cannot reach me from up the tree, so after around 10 minutes of them trying to get me, they give up and walk away. I wait a little longer, and, shaken up, I continue my journey, forgetting to talk to the old man, in my fear to move on. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: I decide to have a nice conversation with the Dwarf, as I do have some interest in Dwarven culture, even if it not be too much. I ask him where he came from, and he answers me with "I was born in this town, raised in it. I did not see other Dwarves until I was old enough to drink". We laughed and I decide to buy a nice pan, but don't dare haggle for it, not to as ruin our new found friendship. We say our goodbyes and I stroll back home.
