Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: This is my first application. Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): Indeed. Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: I have and I will. Meta-gaming: The use of information not obtained in-character, or out-of-character information, while role-playing. Power-emoting: Purposely giving yourself an advantage or controlling the outcome of an in-character interaciton. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Pepip Newysh Current Age: 18 Sub-race (if any): Halfling Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): A Halfling child was conceived by a Southeron woman of Salvus, who, embarrassed to be carrying the Half-breed child, abandoned him after birth. The child was adopted into the Newysh Circus Family after he was discovered by one of the circus’ acrobats, who went by the name of Corren. Corren was looked up to as a father figure by the child due to his lack of knowledge of his parentage. In the circus, he was trained by Corren to perform as an acrobat and adopted the name Pepip Newysh. Pepip lived a sheltered life. Corren was quite protective of him. The only individuals he ever let Pepip interact with were other members of the circus family, whom instantly took a liking to the Halfling protégé. Pepip was taught to think and act like a circus performer. It was all he was ever really good at; Pepip mainly depended on others for his other needs. The origin of Pepip's parentage was never an issue to him. He didn't think Corren was his real father, but he didn't bother to ask. Pepip thought it would've been rude to ask, and he never cared very much in the first place. Throughout Pepip’s mid-teen years, his circus family slowly started to disband. One by one, performers of the circus began to move on and leave the family, or die of illness. Pepip was approaching the age of 18 when Corren fell ill to an incurable disease. He later died a few weeks before Pepip turned 18. Pepip wasn't very emotional about everyone leaving him. He knew everyone had a time to come and go, but he would still get lonely once everyone was gone. Eventually, he was left as the sole active member of the Newysh Circus Family. He had no choice but to move on and start a new life on his own, hoping to meet new friends to be around. Ambitions for the Future: After the disbandment of his circus family, Pepip hopes to adapt to a normal Halfling lifestyle. He will set off in search of the village of Lenfarthing to start his new life and and meet new friends to fill the void of his circus family leaving him. Personality: Pepip has adopted a charismatic and gregarious personality from life as a circus performer. He thrives to please others and is not hesitant at all to try new things. Living a sheltered life, Pepip has become quite gullible and naive. He dreads the feeling of being alone; he always needs others to keep him company, which is why he tries to befriend as many people as possible. He tends to avoid conflict when possible and would rather not get into physical altercations. Pepip often forgets that others don't know everything he does, such as the people he knows, leaving others confused when he talks about them. Skills: Pepip is quite a skilled acrobat, and has exceptional social skills. He doesn’t have many other extraordinary skills, as all he ever needed to be good at for the circus was acrobatics. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Pepip abandons his colorful acrobat costume to wear more traditional Halfling clothing. This is usually what he wears when not performing. A light brown cap on his head slightly covers the light auburn hair coming down his tanned face. He walks around barefoot with overalls that match the color of his cap, over a raggedy white t-shirt. His right eye is a navy blue color, while his left eye is more of a jungle green shade. Any other details you wish to share about your character: Being the only Halfling member of the Newysh Circus Family, Pepip did not adopt the usual Halfling accent. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Pepip stops to rest in the mighty human capital during his venture to Lenfarthing. He discovers a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace, but doesn’t think much of it. He had never seen anyone dressed so mysteriously-clad before. Pepip is quite curious at this point, so he walks over to one of the guards to ask about the stealthy figure. "Hello friend, that man over there is dressed quite dark. I have never seen ayone dress like that in the circus. What could he be doing so sneakily?" Pepip explains. The guard looks around, spots the dark-clothed figure, and realizes what his intentions might be. He thanks Pepip for the warning, and calls for other guards to capture the mysterious person. Pepip doesn’t know what he did, but he realizes it must have been something noble. He continues on with his venture to Lenfarthing feeling proud of his presumably noble act. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: On his venture to Lenfarthing, Pepip notices the unstable old man being surrounded by the heavily armed bandits. He is quite curious about what could be occurring, so Pepip nonchalantly wanders over to the three strangers. He asks the two bandits what they are doing to the old man who seems to be cowering between them, only to be answered with a stern, “None of your business!” Pepip feels a bit invasive now and fears that he might get into some conflict with the three men, so he carries on his venture to Lenfarthing, still wondering what the three strangers were doing. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: While on his venture to Lenfarthing, Pepip discovers a small man standing behind a colourful stall, ready to sell some goods. Pepip believes this would be the perfect opportunity to collect some goods for his new life in Lenfarthing, but doesn’t exactly know what would be useful to him. He searches through his pockets, and manages to discover 50 minas available to him to spend. He proceeds towards the man, pondering what he should buy. When he can’t make up his mind, he asks the man for suggestions. “Hello friend, do you happen to sell any useful goods for a young Halfling like me?” Pepip asks eagerly. The vendor realizes how naïve Pepip is to take his suggestions, so he replies, “Well, this shovel here seems to be popular among Halflings.” He proceeds to point to a nearly broken stone shovel with splinters pointing out of its oak wood handle, hoping to make a quick buck. Pepip eyes the shovel, contemplating whether to buy it or not due to its poor condition. The small man explains, “The shovel may look poor, but it works rather well. It’s one of the finest shovels I’ve ever used.” Pepip believes the small man and continues to ask, “What would be a fair price to buy this fine shovel for?” The man glances at the amount of minas in Pepip’s hand. He explains, “Boy, you don’t nearly have enough minas for this fine shovel. I am willing to offer you a deal though. Just hand over all of your minas and your shoes, then the shovel shall be yours.” Pepip blindly accepts the deal, handing over all 50 minas and his shoes while receiving the battered shovel. He carries on his journey to Lenfarthing, exstatic about his new purchase.
