  2. Looks like a good idea Niccum, I like the idea and it does make more sense to go through the forest in order to march upon the capital. It makes more sense than marching randomly through the valley.

Only thing we would have to situate would  be the borders of the skirmish. How far troops are allowed to move and where would the point of retreat be.

I'd also like Skippy to put out some more ideas on the matter, especially regarding your posts, since he's the nation leader.

  3. The Revolution Begins

Verthaik Frostbeard adjusts the crown sitting atop his head, thinking to himself how he would have to accustom himself to the new weight that floated above him. He looks to the outside of the hold that stands in front of him, he slowly begins to step forward, his right hand gliding upon the fine dwarven stonework of the keep. A breeze of cold air blows through his long black beard and across his face, his face unrelenting and stern as he continues to march forward. Around him stand the ominous and powerful Kazulran mountains, named for their ancient ancestor and founder of his great clan. He looks to his right and nods to Magnus Blackfist and then to his left to nod at Vorstag Ireheart and comes to a step before a balcony, peering over the edge onto the courtyard of Tal’Azwyr. Below him lie the Legion of Frost, Dungrimm’s Folk, The Blackfist Company, and the numerous other dwarves who rallied to the call of King Verthaik Frostbeard. A pause came as he glanced out over at them, inspecting them with a hard glance, unwavering in his stance. With the raise of his fist into the air the mass amounts of armored dwarves begin to smash their weapons against their shields in unison. Alongside came the chant from the mouths of the legions of dwarves, THOTH KAVIR!!! THOTH KAVIR!!!” the echoes bungling through the mountains. Verthaik lowered his clenched fist and the legions stopped the noise, once more standing at attention.

A moment more passed before Verthaik’s beard spread and his mouth moved to form words, his rough voice filling the ears of those standing before him. “Todeh weh march! Weh march fer nay onleh gloreh o’ battle, bu’ fer ah hoigheh purpose! T’ere beh t’ose who call us traitehs, oathbreakehs, an’ kinslayers. Weh know w’ot weh foight fer. Weh foight fer change.!Change from the corrupt governmen’ t’at wastes aweh upon the obsidian t’rone. Weh foight fer freedom! Freedom from t’ose w’o seek to keep us down w’en it is weh w’o shall put t’em down. Weh foight fer hope! Hope t’at ‘un day weh moight have a kingdom ruled by true Dwedmar. T’os w’o seek to betteh the kingdom at all costs an’ represent it cordially.”

Verthaik pauses to gaze across at the men that stand before him, staring some in the eye as he continues his speech “Ah say nay! Nay to Skippeh! Skippeh is nay meh king. Neveh shall ah bow to ah oaf king nor shall ah stan’ wit’ breath in meh lungs an’ alleh him to beh yer king. Yeh ‘ave all followed meh an’ meh king t’is day to foight t’ose t’at mus’ beh stopped before our Gran’ Kingdom is stopped. W’en weh alleh t’ose w’o ar’ weak, cowardleh, an’ pat’etic to rule our great people is w’en weh ‘alt to be Dwed. True Dwed!"

Weh moight beh goin’ out to foight kin, otheh dwed, clansmen, bu’ t’ey beh Dwed who stan’ in our way fer t’is great revolution! It pains meh to ‘ave to foigh t’ose ah once fought besoide an’ commanded mehself bu’ harsh toimes call fer harsh actions. Ah call upon all yeh todeh to put aweh t’ose feelin’s an’ do w’ot must beh done. Weh  must correct the wrongs. Foight fer justice an’ honor.  Todeh weh ar’ revolutionarehs, seekin’ to make greatness! Tomorrow weh ar’ victors, claimin’ our t’rone an’ makin’ greatness fer our Gran’ Kingdom!

Yemekah wills our victoreh an’ shall guide us onto these paths. Dungrimm shall guide us in battle an’ smoile upon us!”

With another raised fist the Legions of dwarves begin to smash their weapons against their shields once more, the warshouts growing ever stronger as they boom throughout the mountain ranges. “THOTH KAVIR!!! THOTH KAVIR!!!” As he lowers his  fist down to his side, he turns and dawns a finely crafted battlehelm. As he makes his way to the front of the host, Vorstag begins to give orders for the Legions to begin their march. They right face and begin to file out en masse from the gates of Tal’Azwyr, their King in lead to guide them onto battle.

Not since the days of Good King Francis has there been a Raevir ruler who has carried himself with tact, cunning and intelligence.

Wladyslaw wonders how Good King Francis then managed to only rule for three saint days, making mistake after mistake. He chuckles and trots off.

  6. Verthaik Frostbeard rests on his throne as he glares off to the noise and battle readying dwarves "Skippeh shall nay beh meh King. Ah will nay ah allow ah bloodeh oaf teh ruin t'is great Kingdom. Too long 'ave ah sat as t'ey mocked meh an' slandered meh! Down wit' teh Slander King! Down wit' teh Oaf King! Narvok Oz Azwyrtrumm! Narvok Oz Urguan!"

  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuAGGZNfUkU

Verthaik slowly begins to trudge up a set of wooden stairs, emerging on top of a large pedestal facing a crowd of dwarves squeezing into the Dwarven capital of Kal’Akash. He pivots to face the growing crowd, his face with a solemn touch, quickly averting to one of sternness and confidence. A deep breath is taken and a pause filled with a scratch of his long, flowing black beard. His smooth blue eyes skim over the crowd and he opens his mouth with sanctity, a thick voice penetrating the ears of those listening.

“T’ere have been maneh ah Kings! Weh have ‘ad our share o’ teh good ‘uns an’ teh  bad ‘uns!” He pauses for a brief moment before continuing “Weh have ‘ad teh fortune o’ teh Brathmordakin in ah truleh Gran’ King w’o ‘as unfortunatleh passed on from us. May Dungrimm accep’ ‘im…’e w’os ah true Dwed. ‘E rebuilt our kingdom from it’s shattered pieces an’ made somet’in t’at ‘ad ‘ope. W’ot weh need now is ah true dwed t’at can folleh in Balek’s footsteps an’ lead teh Kingdom furtheh inteh ah greateh age. Ah lend ah ‘and to yeh, meh Dwedmar kinsmen, teh make ah broighteh future fer yerselves, yer kin, an’ yer familiehs!”

Verthaik stares out to the crowd, beginning to pace back and forth as he speaks to them while moving his hands as he talks, “Teh Kingdom can beh ah frail t’ing, if given to teh wrong ‘ands. An meh ‘ands ‘ave been ‘arden an’ trained for t’is position by constan’ work an’ success towards t’is great Kingdom. As ah beardlin’ to t’is Kingdom, ah journeyed from meh los’ famileh. ‘Oldin meh dead motheh in meh arms she told meh o’ ah place w’ere Dwed live in numbehs an’ greatness. W’ere great Dwed craftehs, warriors, an’ buildehs ar’ ah plenteh. Ah made meh way to teh kingdom an’ found w’ot she ‘ad told meh. Ah great kingdom an’ ah greateh people. Stubborn, yet proideful. Fierce, yet friendleh. Short, bu’ great! Ah knew t’at t’is place would beh meh future an’ t’at alongsoide t’ese great people t’is kingdom woul’ create wondehs if lead by true Dwed. As ah soon learned, teh task woul’ nay beh an easeh ‘un, bu’ ah woul’ nay give up! Ah fought corruption to teh bes’ o’ meh abiliteh. Bein’ teh youngest Gran’ Marshal in Urguan’s existence ah revoived teh Legion an’ made ah foightin’ force t’at coul’ defend teh Kingdom from it’s enemehs. As teh last known Fros’beard ah revoived meh great clan to become ‘un o’ greatest ‘uns o’ its days. As ah poor an’ destitute Dwed to teh Kingdom ah became ‘un o’ teh richest ‘uns o’ teh entoire Kingdom. Ah managed to do t’ings othehs coul’ nay do.

He pauses to glance over the crowd of dwarves, continuing his speech,
“Ah shall nay forget t’ose w’o ‘ave stood by meh soide along teh way. Teh guide meh. Teh teach meh. Teh support meh. An’ teh aid meh. Teh great Dwedmar people ah speak o’ t’at stand before meh on t’is day. Loike Rhewen, meh gran’pappi, w’o supported meh an’ aided meh an’ makin’ meh clan w’ot i’ is todeh. Uldar an’ Jorik w’o assisted in revoivin’ teh Legion. Ognar w’o taught meh alon’ teh way. Meh brotheh Varuk w’o ‘as stood by meh soide. T’ese beh onleh ah few o’ teh Dwed whom ah speak o’. T’ere beh maneh mo’, most loikleh teh entoire Dwedmar population. W’en yeh vote fer meh, yeh vote fer teh Dwedmar people. It’s ‘istoreh, i’s kinship, an’ it’s gloreh in all it’s bareness."

“Yeh deserve ah leadeh w’o ‘as proven his worth t’rough experience an’ knows how he mus’ guide his people, his flock, his kin. Teh governmen’ mus’ beh restructered teh nay onleh allow fer t’ose few privileged fellehs teh take poweh an’ use i’ in small ways t’at in nay way ‘elp teh kingdom. T’ere will beh competen’ an’ direct courtiehs w’o know bes’ teh serve t’eir people. All shall ‘ave chance undeh meh rule an’ Ttey will be monitored on t’eir progress an’ success teh make sure t’ey do t’eir job correctleh.

Teh Senate shall beh ah t’ing utiloized so t’at teh clans voices shall beh made ‘eard properleh an’ effectivleh. Allowin’ mo’ toime fer debate an’ meetin’s.

‘Olds shall beh made inteh ah system w’ich will nay allow t’em teh remain ‘ollow an’ empteh ‘usks so t’at few may roam wit’ pretteh toitles an’ nothin’ teh show fer. Dead ‘olds will nay beh allowed an’ throivin’ ‘uns will beh allowed teh prospeh.
Relations wit’ teh otheh descendan’s shall beh made ah prioriteh. Fer too long ‘ave weh made fools o’ ourselves in teh eyes o’ teh otheh races. Weh shall delegate an’ talk w’ere need an’ trade wit’ t’em so t’at our friendships shall prospeh.

Teh King shall ‘ear ‘is people’s pleas as much as ‘e possibleh can an’ if ‘e canne do it t’en he shall make sure his courtiehs do."

“Teh otheh candidates beh ‘onorable Dwed, akin teh goo’ t’ings, bu’ nay teh laddehs t’at can lead t’is kingdom. T’ey may beh friends ‘er noice teh yeh, bu’ t’at does nay mean t’at t’ey will do great t’ings as King. Sayin’ t’ey wan’ great t’ings beh far differen’ t’an doin’ great t’ings an’ can delieveh.”

He takes one last pause, taking a deep breath and then speaking louder than before, his voice trembling as it echoes through the cave,

“Ah promise yeh t’at undeh meh ruleshhip, ah can accomplish teh great an’ teh wonderous. Teh create ah Kingdom w’ich withstands teh test o’ toime an’ is reckoned by its enemehs. Take meh ‘and an’ weh shall see t’is to fruition; ah truleh Gran’ Kingdom.”

    • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? Nope and never have held one on this server

    • What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

    • Swtor

    • Star Wars Galaxies

    • Lotro

    • Elder Scrolls

    • CKII/EUIV

    • Civ V

    • CS:GO

    • A lot of others, mainly fps, strategy, rpg etc.

    • What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

    • Verthaik Frostbeard - Pretty much my main and only character as of right now

    • Rolfe Ruthill - A human character that I haven’t played in a long time and probably won’t play for a while

    • Answer to the last question is yes

    • What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

    • My main character is a dwarf and I am heavily invovled in their group, so most likely my events would most likely be catered to dwarves and would be the best option for me

    • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

    • The main component to complete a successful event would  be immersion. Without that, you have lost the whole reason behind the server and your duty as an event team member. You have to keep the roleplaying rolling along smoothly without distractions of any sort, such as delay or non consistent roleplay.

    • Another important component to roleplay would be player involvement. The main focus on the event is to cater to the players and to no one else. An event team member should be focusing on keeping all players that are a part of the event involved throughout the entire event. Keep the roleplay flowing among all players. There is also the matter of fact of never, ever not allowing anyone to join in an event. I have had experiences where I was denied, or others were, access or involvement in an event that I walked upon because I was not a part of a particular group. That is a nono.

    • Another would be correct use of PvE and RP in an event. Roleplay is the backbone of the server and any event that might take place. Roleplay is what drives it along and what the majority of it should be. However, at times roleplay can just not cater to the specific time. The roleplay may Carrion too long and become to stagnate, at which point PvE may be able to solve the issue. Otherwise, there may be too many people to involve in one RP fight and in that instance, PvE would be the next best option. I would like to mention that PvE is never a substitute for RP and that if there is PvE there should be critical RP that follows to the PvE.

    • When was the last time you saw a event?

    • Just today I had an event, June 29th, 2015. It was a clan event that I wanted to do, though of course any dwarf was included to join in. I had a big part in the creation of it and it was the first of a storyline that I have been working on with some ET for my clan to start along with any other dwarves that might want to attend.

    • What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

    • First, I would like to say that I am a good roleplayer. I have a few friends on the Event Team who I know would be able to back me up on that. They were the ones who encouraged me to make this application.

    • Second, I have a substantial knowledge of lore. Not an impressive one, but I believe I possess enough.

    • Third, I am also a great organizer. Currently maintaining the largest Dwarven clan and having held other positions among the humans and dwarves where I was able to do such.

    • Why do you want to be part of the ET?

    • I like to roleplay. That’s why I joined this server and it’s just that sometimes I see that there is a lacking of roleplay and I wish that I could truly do something about it. Being an Event Team member I believe I can bring roleplay to where it is needed, particularly to the dwarves, where roleplay among them can be at times.... trying and too little.

    • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Freema, not to the community.

    • 1- 3 people:

The setting would be a thick, quiet, and peaceful forest. The dense treeline goes as far as the eyes can see. A few leaves fall and small woodland creatures scurry across the grassy floor, while chirps of birds can be heard from above occasionally. A lone dwarven hunter accompanies the critters along the floor of the forest, his shoes rustling among the leaves that sprawl across the ground as he trudges through the forest. Equipped with nothing but a spear,  he searches for his prey. He doesn’t seek to secure food for their bellies for he seeks a prize. What lies before him is an unnatural beast that has been sighted in these; they say it is a bear that stands as tall as trees. Though it may be an exaggeration the hunter seeks him claim on the glory of slaying the beast and achieving his manhood, no longer being a beardling.

    • 5- 10 people:

Wandering through the snow capped mountains that surround the capital of the Kingdom of Urguan, the dwarves stumble upon an giant glacier. However, before their eyes does not seem like a normal glacier filled of ice. Underneath is what looks like a pile of odd looking stone. Being dwarves, they begin to mine through the ice, fervently digging for this mysterious object. As they begin to near the stone object, the ground begins to shake and the object seems to churn to life. What arises is something they are slightly familiar to, but horrified by the sight. A hulking, medusa class golem rises from the ice, its body shaking as it regenerates itself. Thanium lines the body, the cold sting being felt among all the dwarves that surround the giant.

    • 20+ people:

A powerful warlord has arisen. A disgruntled veteran of many wars, human, dwarven, orcish, etc has gathered an army of exiled warriors of many races and has set an ambitious goal for himself. To take over the world. He is said to be one of the finest swordsman in all the lands, wielding a powerful blade of ancient history. This skill is accompanied by his impeccable oratory skills, his influence and leadership. To some it seems as though his followers are just mindless grunts swayed by the capabilities of this warlord.

His lust has no boundaries and he has marched upon vailor with his army, seeking to forge his own empire, at any cost, even his own men.

    • How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

    • As long as I am on the server, most likely. I do not know how long that will be, but I will surely notify people if I leave.

    • Tell me a joke

        -What’s Long, Black, and Smelly?

        - I’d say, but I’d probably get in trouble.
