    Age: 19

    Time Zone: CST

    Skype: PM me for it

    Discord: PM me for it

Have you been previously banned (be it a forum or server ban) and under what circumstances did you receive this ban?: Server Ban, PM me for more info

Have you ever received warning points and what actions were committed to receive such points?: Yes I have, I believe one was for spam and another was for "racist content"

Moderating the forums is a very time dependant staff position. How much time, on average, would you be able to dedicate to moderating?: Pretty often, it's something I feel I can do whilst doing other things

What experience do you have using the LotC forums or any forum in general?: I've been here for like 4 years so I hope I've got it figured out by now

What does it mean to be a Forum Moderator, in your own words? What responsibilities does the Forum Moderator have to carry out  in order to successfully do their job?:

I think Forum Moderators need to have a clear and level head in order to make objective decisions based on fact. I think it is their responsibility to step in and moderate the forums when individuals are incapable of doing so themselves.

Have you ever held a staff position here on LotC? Do you currently hold any other staff positions? If so, list them and highlight something about the team that you enjoyed/enjoy.: I was an ET Actor and a Coder.

Why should you be a Forum Moderator? What can you bring forward to the team that allows you to moderate and enforce the conduct of the forums?

I like to think that I'm a rational individual that's capable of properly giving out warning points. I'm not afraid to do so to my friends especially if I find them to be in breach of server rules.

What characteristics do you posses that makes you stand out from any other applicant?:

I'm smart (Jake told me to say that).

Are there members of the current Forum Moderation Team that you do not get along with or see a problem with working with in the future? If so, what is it that could hinder your ability to work together. Remember, this is a team and working together is the main foundation of a team.:
No, I'm pretty sure I'm able to work with all of the other members on the team.

How long do you plan to stay on the team?:

    As long as I can.

Are there any extra things you'd like to mention?:  I was a member of the FPR. I hold no regrets.

Why should human and elf curses (funny enough probably the most common original ace of spook) be basically rendered null and void by this? Why can elves that are undead suddenly have children and humans suddenly become youthful? I mean, I sort of get humans to a degree. They're already undead, but why does an elf become fertile? I don't get it

Elves are fertile it's just hard for them to get preggers

  3. It's nearing that time of year again where Krug sends his working gnomes out across the lands to give gifts to little girls and little boys (and to grown ups too if they don't ******* punt them smh). This begs us to ask a question: shouldn't more people be playing gnomes as the season starts up? What do you think?

Honestly if it's that bad then maybe OP should have his way. Not in the sense of limiting new spook prospects by rather by cleansing the playerbase of those who are already citizens of the glorious spookdom but also do low quality rp.

Well it's not as bad as you're saying it is, but it's difficult to try and readjust and change the mindset of what spooks need to do. Spooks generally aren't very collective even if there's something like the Coven guiding them, that's just the nature of the Spooks. The nature of the problem can't be solved by just removing people and hoping stuff fixes itself: it's a long, drawn out process that involves collaboration with the spookums across the board to not only a) discuss what even constitutes a spook but also b) figuring out if there needs to be a long term goal that spooks need to achieve c) if spooks should and are able to unite under one banner effectively at any given time and d) discuss whether or not any of that would be a good idea, because the whole reason that spooks are attractive to play as and are a nice little distraction from the main bad guy of whatever Map we're on is that they're chaotic, strike randomly, and are SUPPOSED to (if other people are also RP'ing properly) to strike fear into the hearts of people. If you want to claim that quality of RP of spooks has decreased (which, depending on the group it may have), you also have to look at the quality of RP as a whole on the server and address that. This is a multi-faceted problem that won't be solved by someone angrily tapping on their keyboard about how bad spooks are because they had a few unenjoyable run-ins with people who were or are spooks. It's a server problem, not a spook problem. And like I said before, we're trying to work on consolidating, finding out where the weak points in spook RP are, and trying to improve on them.

Sorry if I find this a bit counterfactual.. It's just that from my experience this does not seem to be the case.

It's in the works, it's hard to take all of spookdom and try to get people to change their RP. I know that I'm personally trying to take on a specific set of ghouls and try to train and mentor them to be proper spooks. People are trying to push for a new wave of communication to try and solve the problem, but like I said it's a tall order to fill. It's not going to happen in the span of a month and if you expect it to then you don't understand the breadth and scope of the problem.

  6. As a spook, this is a very debated topic amongst the spooks and it's such a complex thing to talk about that you can't boil it down to a "yes" or "no" type question like this. We're trying our best to curb the amount of spooks we're making (or at least improve the quality). It just takes time, plus holy mages can kill Undead in like one hit anyway and everyone carries their magic golden sword with them so it really isn't even that huge of a problem for the population outside of the spooks

What magic(s) will you be teaching?: Telekinesis

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s): Telekinesis is the art of changing the force acting upon an object via the void. Similarly to voidal magics, wherien you can summon something such as a rock and allow it to float in midair. Mages that find themselves lifting objects via magic that they could not lift normally would find it impossible, and mages that levitate more than one item will find it harder to concentrate, as one must be thinking about multiple objects to suspend in air. Solid particles, such as water for instance, are unable to be lifted: they are too fluid, too constantly shifting in place. This makes it impossible to concentrate on any one spot of the object, as that spot would almost immediately change its position.

Telekinesis takes time, and so concepts such as stopping something coming at you very quickly is impossible (although you could, if prepared, add a force to the item and push it a little bit to the left or right). The same concept applies to taking a sword from someone, or lifting them via their armor: the force that gets applied is temperamental and slow, so a quick impulse from the target would immediately negate one’s ability to move the item. Items that do not have a force being applied to them (with the exception of gravity) can have an impulse applied to them, which would send the object flying (this is, of course, mostly for skilled mages).

Naturally, as the telekinetic advances in their studies, they will be able to lift more. Once they’ve completed their training (tier 5), they should be able to lift a 100kg object with great care and concentration. After that point, you can add 5kg to the user’s limit each week. This is in stark contrast to the novice, who can barely lift a feather at the start of their training.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

Selrik would be sat atop his usual rock on the outskirts of the stone circle, waving to the young novice that had just entered, sitting in the middle of the circle.

“You’ve studied some remedial physics?” Selrik had asked, raising a brow to the young one underneath him.

“I have,” she said, squirming slightly in her seat, the memory of boring reading still paining her.

“Well then it should be easy.” Selrik pulled out a feather, dropping it down to the novice beneath, eyeing her carefully.

The novice carefully caught it, concentrating on it right proper, her left hand twitching violently to signify that she had properly connected to the void.

“I’ll give you a tip, if you focus on the stem and not the actual feather itself, you’ll be able to lift it more easily. Remember, your mind is the faucet for the pool of water that is the void.” Selrik suggested, folding his hands in front of his mouth, watching her movements carefully.

The novice began to sweat slightly, the feather wiggling slightly in her hand, although not doing much else.

“This is your first time practicing. I’ll tell you what. Try to practice with the feather some more and we’ll reconvene when you’ve properly lifted it slightly off of your hand.” Selrik stated, “is that fair?”

The novice grumbled slightly to herself, but eventually agreed. She rose and left the stone circle, whilst Selrik sat, pondering how someone is so inept at lifting a feather.
