Current Age: Eighteen
Sub-race (if any): Northerner
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Ambitions for the Future:
Raleigh was born on the continent of Asulon, on the 20th year of its settlement. At this time, she was to young to understand the war between Renatus, and his allies, including the Twilight Alliance, against Salvus. The small caravan of six, her father, her uncle, and his three sons. Raleigh's mother passed away during birth, but not before she was given the pleasure to see her first and only child brought into this world. Even if it was, surrounded by war.
Either to young, or ignorant of such things her traveling family of six told her of the peace treaty made between Renatus and Hanseti. With all Human nations fallen under the name 'The Holy Oren Empire' they foretold of the great trade between former enemies turned allies and friends. Most of her life was spent traveling from the Southern realms of the Holy Oren Empire, to its capitol Arethor. Trading and taking stock from merchants along the way. The execution of 'The Wolverines', did not effect them much. Though their minds were put to ease when the attacks from 'House Flay' came to an end. Her childhood was a slow one. One closely guarded by her father, who so dearly loved his daughter, despite faults. Leaving his only task, and expectation of her to guard the Caravan while they traded their goods. Importing lumber and stone to the Northern most nations, where being in the center would be handed from one merchant to the other, to make its way across the Empire's borders. They traveled no farther from the cool south, preferring the chill of the South, keeping to the hardy lifestyle it takes to travel between the snow capped mountains.
After their short stay in Arethor, where her Uncle's sons finished the small part-time jobs in the City, they would leave by the eve. Raleigh given the chore to watch over the Caravan was glad to be on their way back to the South. This life continued, life on the road gave little privacy, and Raleigh was like one of the boys. Rough housing, and teasing common between the youngsters. Raleigh enjoyed this life, with her father and Uncle. Though as she became older, as did her interest in settling down, having a family. After an argument with her father, she swore off her previous life with her family. She made her way south, to what was previously Hanseti. Though it was at this time that the noxious, poisonous fumes released from the mountains, settling over much of the South. Barely escaping its reaches, she headed for the Cloud Temple. To prideful to return to her father, and would much rather accept the generosity of the monks.
Raleigh is a descendent from a long line of Northerners, her pale skin evidence to her pure lineage. Despite the Northerners tendency to falling into the description of; Miners, Lumber jacks. Raleigh dreams of a quaint, warm life. Often in her late nights she dreams of sitting by a warm hearth, her hands calloused after a days work of running a small wheat farm. She's even fancied the life of owning a ranch, raising cattle, sheep, chickens. Though these thoughts often end in the question, "Wont I have to slaughter the dear animals I have raised?". It certainly makes her think twice, but the sound of such a life is nice. On cold nights, she reminiscences of her life on the road with her father, and their family. One of travel, trading the goods of strange and different folk. A troubling thought presents itself however; her distrust of other races. Life on the road took her many places, with many strange creatures. Their difference in appearance, and culture, perturbed her. Raleigh's ambitions are many, the people she meets and the road she takes would certainly decide her fate.
Personality: While a Northerner, sturdy, light skinned. She does not display the same mentality. She wants nothing more than a gentle life, one shared with friends. Things such as sowing fields of golden wheat, baking sweet things like cakes and pies. Her fondness of halflings, is one that is evident. She may not share their taste in housing, but their life styles, warm hearths, family and friendship. Close-knit communities wary of outsiders that's where she belongs.
Stubborn, persistent, heart warming. While her feet may be aching she puts one foot before the other, knowing that with gentle and kind deeds she will harvest the fruits of her efforts. While she may believe that she is a realistic thinker, her trust for Humans is often misplaced. Easily fooled many a time by a bandits "sly" nature. Ignorance and pride come easily for her, she could find pride in nearly anything. The passing of gold to a con-man, undoubtedly falling under his tricks. Playing the poor drunkard.
Introverted, Quick to anger, this girl is read like a book. She may dream of settling down, but her life on the road makes her antsy. Likely caused by her chore of staying behind watching the Caravan while the boys went out to work. Having to stay in one spot, makes her feel as if her dreams are far off, and this is where things out of the ordinary encourage her to incite curiosity. Though if it turns into something that could lead to any form of trouble, regardless if she's the hero in it, or the victim. She wants no part in it, and can easily leave the helpless or any criminal to their own devices.
Skills: By no means is she a farmer, the girl doesn't even know what to do with a hoe, a shovel, or a bucket of water! Not to mention her ignorance to what actual amount of care goes into livestock. Yet she's determined to learn, while inept in the ways of agriculture. Raleigh exhibits an excellent stamina, she's suited for travel. She has been all her life, if a courier or a caravaner be needed this would be the one to choose.
Give the woman an axe, and she will bring you back a stack of processed woods, from birch to great oak. If its made of wood, it's going down. Due to not actually being a lumber-jack, she can become a bit over-zealous striking as many trees needed. This could lead to trouble for her, especially for those seeking balance in nature. ((I do understand that there is no land scarring! I wont chop down all trees! <3 ))
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Any other details you wish to share about your character:
Raleigh has lean long features, paired with gangly long limbs. While she could be considered pretty, she could look very goofy as well. She ties her maroon-orange hair into a single braid that ties off just below her hips.
"Is there anything else you would like to say about your character:"

(( Hello! This time around in roleplay, I wanted something simple. I didn't want to role-play, a militaristic, or someone capable of being able to fight. Nor did I want to play a noble woman, as that was far to much of a stress in previous RP's. This character, is someone who wants to lead a quaint life, and its something I can easily enjoy. ))
Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: The heels of my boot's clap against the stone paving, dragging my feet. 'I didn't think I could make it through that shift'. My hands went up into my hair, tugging at my braid at the loose band, letting my tangled, kinked hair sway over to one shoulder. Running my hands through my hair, fingers snapping the knots tangled into it. A clatter hit the ground, and I looked below me, there my hair band lay. I reached down, but before I picked it up a steel toed boot, dark as my father's coat in the middle of the night. I pick it up, wincing 'Why would someone be wearing such heavy, dark things in the middle of a summer night?' With a scoff I followed him, the fool he is I thought to myself. Picking up my belonging from the ground I followed him. We neared the Emperor's palace, it was unusual being up this close, a quick scan and I could see the Guardsmen had bolstered their numbers. I almost lost the shadow of a man, he and another conversed, I jogged over, straining to hear what they had to say.
Shadow One: "...you'll be paid in full when the job is done."
Shadow Two: "I hope that bastard washed his neck, I'll post it on a pike in his own bedroom!" He sneered.
Stifling a gasp with my hands, I look about to the Guards, I shake my head and without a word turn around. 'None of my bussiness.'
2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: With a growl I left the security of the road and dashed into the thick oak forest, 'That fool took my gold! The coward!' Straining against the leather armor I had purchased, bandits had become more frequent on the roads. 'So I hire a mercenary whose freightened by noises in the night? I should of known better, some street clothed 'mercenary' wielding a stone sword. He probably stole it.' A tight grip on the sword hilt, 'It is a bit creepy out here... What was that?!'. Startled, an old man's voice in the distance. Following, quiet in my steps I creep up on a couple of bandits badgering an old man.
Old Man: "You leave me be, you hear! I'm not afraid to use this!" He yowls, as they swipe away the weapon and push him to the muddy ground.
Bandit One: "Just hand over the money already and we'll only leave you with a few bruises!" The second bandit laughed, punching the first in the shoulder.
I gasped, fear ran through my body, dropping my iron sword to run. I don't care if it made a sound, or if I am making a noisy escape. It's none of my business! 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: 'Pushing past throngs of slow moving idiots! That's what this feel's like' Shoulders pushed forward, I make sure anyone in my way knows I want them to move, and when they don't let's just say the other turns around to say. "Woman! Show some respect!"'This city always annoyed me, the market was always full of people, and a few to many Elves for my own liking. Though it is good for trade.' Pausing, catching a brightly colored stall I walk over, irritation leaving my body as my senses are assaulted with bright pastel colors, I lean over the counter.
Small Man: "Greeting's lass! I have many things in store for you I do! Here take a look!"
"I think I will!" Leaning over, my hands gripping the counter to anchor myself. I spot the most treasured objects. A sack of wheat seeds, the man grinned at me. Likely due to the amazement plastered over my features.
Small Man: "Looking to buy some seeds to start your humble garden?" He leans in close with a smirk, "Name your price, lass!"
I rear up, dumbfounded. I don't have anything worth giving him... With a pout, and a wrinkle to my forehead he leaned over the counter.
Small Man: "You're a Northener aren't you? Aren't you and yours skilled with the axe? I tell you what, twenty-five birch logs and a loaf of bread and their yours!"
Raising a brow, "Not so fast, halfling!" She grinned with a tease, "I need this loaf of bread to last me the weak, you can have half!" She offered her hand, "The rest, I agree upon!" A firm nod of my head and the deal is sealed with a shake of our hands.
(( Thank you for reading, and I appreciate the time you take in going through these applications. I want to be upfront with problems I have as a Role-player. First, i'm not positive how active I will be. I may log on for only a few minutes a day, or on my days off I will be online all day! My schedule is always a bit wonky, due to working retail. The second, I sometimes have trouble hopping into the community, and isolate myself at times. In previous games I have RP'ed in, I have gotten past that hermit tendency but new communities always scare me! Im quite shy! Third, which is my biggest problem and i'm sure you have noticed: I am terrible at grammar. Sentence-structuring, punctuation, spelling. Im not great at it. Though I will try! I hope my bio checks out with you, I read so much that it really just made my head have a mini explosion! I tried reading as much lore as I could on Asulon, on all the races, and all the places. Though I focused on the humans, and even then I was slightly confused. I wanted to try my first post without the help of mods, to try and better myself at teaching my mind to remember lore but if I fail. The second time around I will speak closely with any mod that is willing. Almost forgot! This I used as a rough timeline to determine my characters age! http://www.lordofthecraft.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=Modern_History_of_Asulon
