Full Name: Fareth "Far" Stonehide Current Age: 19 Sub-race (if any): n/a Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
Fareth was born in the cold lands near the capital of the Hanseti. He was born into a family of warriors; any ancestor of the family was known to either have died in a war or fought in a war. A great many expectations were made of the Stonehide boys, and only few made it into their thirties, some dying either in a war, a duel or even the training phase one was set to attend upon turning of age. Far was no different than his brothers and other close family members, he started to indulge in the ways of a soldier at a young age, systematically invading his brothers miniature wooden forts with his toy armies, in the center: his hero "Helmut the Brave". He modeled his character from his fictional hero, training day and night. At the age of 13, he knew how to wield a sword and a knife, adapting at such a young age his own fighting style.
The years passed more rapidly, the cold stopped Far from practicing most days, as he had to hurl together in a lump by the fire. Yet, as his 19th birthday approached, he forced himself to ignore the harsh conditions, and took up his wooden sword against snowmen, wild cats and trees, painting them in the blood of his imagination. It was soon time for him to proove himself a man, his 19th birthday was the day he would be made a man. To proove one self a man, one would have to fight the master of the house, in this case his father Gareth "Gar" Stonehide, and either defeat him, or stay on ones feet for three minutes. Boys train their whole lifes for this day, and the house of Stonehide was famous for them.
The fight: Step left, step right, his father slowly following behind, in a somewhat lazy admiration of his son. Gareth had not much hope for a good fight, as both Fareth brothers had been slopy during theirs. But Far broke the cycle of that slopyness. His sword came crashing down on his fathers head, who with little efford blocked it, yet keeping his eyes on his sons weapon, who was wielding the sword with the left hand, making it hard for him to predict his sons movement. And then it came, what Fareth had learned for all these cold years, "Helmut the Brave's python strike", a quick jab with a hidden dagger that Fareth had held in his right hand, stealthed behind his back. His father his the ground. The fight was over, his Gareth "Gar" Stonehide, dead on the ground.
Fareth current story begins only a day after this event. His family expells him from the house, his brother nearly killing him on the way out the door. He is cursed by his family, and told to never return. He has with him the sword and knife he used to kill his father, and the sheepskin uniform he wore on this day, his birthday. He sets out into a world that he has only heard stories about, having spent much of his life either indoors or close to his family home.
Fareth "Far" Stonehide takes one last look at his family home, then with all the determination in the world, sets foot infront of foot and walks down the road that lay ahead, thinking only of the roads that are yet to come.
Ambitions for the Future:
Fareth plans on joining the Teutonic Order, train under one of the more experienced members, and die bravely in battle. Personality:
Fareth is very imaginative, highly focused on learning how to wield a sword and the dagger. He is loyal, or at least he thinks he is, lazy, impatient and somewhat of lesser mind. He tries to please others, but he still comes first, and he is in a constant struggle with self-doubt and self-confidence. Skills:
He is skilled with a single sword and dagger, and apart from that he is not very skilled at anything but gathering wood and placing it on his fire. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):
Fareth has a golden head, is of a puny size, a mere 5 '3. He is well built, and sturdy for his age. His clothes are simple and serve a purpose rather than being there for visual appeal. He is on the border line of handsome, with a few scars marking areas of his face that had met a sword, a splinter or an icy snowball.
Any other details you wish to share about your character:
My character simply wishes to serve the Order or any other kind of army, he currently has no loyality, and is somewhat of a free man. He is also easily insulted if called a child or anybody younger than adult. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer:
Fareth catches his breath, and with one big exhale calls out: "Guards!"
* The figure turns towards Far, revealing but his nose in the poor light of the evening. He knows that he will not be able to enter the palace, with the guards already on their way. So he tries to run.
* Far is no fool, shouting for the guards and then having nothing to show for would be a sign of weakness. He decides to stop the figure.
Far: "Stop!" - "Stop right there you madman"
* He steps up his pace, his young age allowing him to turn up his power like an animal of pray running from a predator.
* The man is quickly caught and thrown to the ground, Far lunges his body over the dark figure holding down his arms on the ground with all the force he could muster up.
* The guards arive: "What's this about?"
Far: "This man is up to no good, i'd take him back to the barracks for questioning if I were you."
Guard 1: "I don't answer to streetboys, now let go of the man!"
Far: "I'll let go of him, and if he comes back later, and kills the Emperor, I will suggest the two guards that let him through to the Chief of the Guard."
Guard: "Fine, we'll take him, but the next time you threaten me ill slice you from mouth to toe!"
* The Guards escort the man away for questioning.
2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer:
* Far is by no means a master of the longsword, nor does he believe that he can best two armed bandits.
Far: "I know who you are, bandits!"
* He quickly turns and runs, in the hope that the bandits believe him, since he does not know who they are, and run away in the fear of later consequences with the guard.
* Fareth quickly makes his way to the nearest town, where he informs a guard who is standing just outside the townhall.
Far: "Some old geezer is being robbed just outside town, give me three able swords and ill defend him"
* The guard quickly hurries into the town hall to gather men, he returns with four fully armed soldiers.
Soldier 1, with a dark voice: "Where did you see this crime?"
* Far describes the situation, and urges the men to hurry to the mans cottage.
Soldier 1: "We will take care of it, you stay here boy."
* The men hurry off to help the old man, and Fareth is devastated by the fact that people still see him as a boy. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer:
* Far's eyes scan the stand, catching only certain items within his reach. He finally rests his eyes on a small gray piece of linen. "This would be perfect for my banner" he thinks to himself.
Far: "How much for that old piece of linen?"
Man: "Oh that finely woven piece of textile? Ill take 20 minor for that"
* Far flinches in surprise (a haggling trick he learned from his father)
Man: "Fine, ill give it to you for just 10"
Far: "More reasonable, but still too much, that bit is worth nothing more than 5 minor"
Man: "7"
Far: "7 it is"
* They shake hands on the deal, and Far leaves the stand victoriously and with an earned smile strung across his mouth.
* This Linen will serve Far later, as he plans on learning how to stich, and then finalizing a small banner to hang infront of his armor.
* He turns his head again at the brightly coloured shop to reasure himself that he found the right price, since he has no real knowledge of how much things are worth in the city. The shopkeeper is wearing the same facial exprecion as he was when Fareth entered the store. "Damn", Fareth thinks to himself, knowing that he overpriced it yet again.
