Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes.
What
previous experience have you had in role-playing?:
I played City-Life 2 Mod for Arma 2 for many months which required interviews and
applying to get into, much like this one. I play Supremacy 1914, particularly
the Role-Playing matches. I have been a part of Multiple Mount and Blade RP Re/giments.
I have played on the Massivecraft Medieval RP minecraft server, although I did
not like that one very much, was not to RP centered. I currently am a part of
the 173rd Infantry Mil-Sim Unit on ArmA 2. Also, I am just a big lover of RP in
General.

in your biography?:
I have read it, and I shall do my best this time to
incorporate more than I did last time.
Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take
any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Acting out and living the part you are pretending to be. Example would be: I am a pretending to be a Farmer in Minecraft, so I
think, act, and do as a farmer would.
Meta-gaming: Using out-of-game resources to affect in-game
decisions. Example would be: Lets say I know Algebra in real life. I am a
poor farmer with little education in the Minecraft Server. I would be
meta-gaming if I used my Algebraic knowledge to change my situation, status, or
anything of the likes.
Power-emoting: Players use words to describe an action or a
feeling based off of what is happening in game. Sometimes it is done in a way
or directed in a way, towards another player in a manner they cannot respond
to. Example: "Player 1 stabs Player 2, Player 2 drops to the floor, dead." In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Erik Seeger

Past / History (include

Here goes again!
We had never had a lot
of money, we only had ourselves. We lived in the small peasant village of Ager,
where not a lot really ever happened, but I believe that is what I really liked
about the place. The calm silence. I loved the warm valley winds that blew over
the mountains. Its warm, peaceful touch was unrivaled to any other
place in the world. Growing up, I worked on the family fields with my father
and 2 brothers. The work was hard and long, but at the end of the day, it felt
so rewarding. While the men of the family worked the fields, you could always
find my Mother doing housework, or feeding the Animals. Mother was a kind
woman, but stern when it was needed. She had a big heart. My sister was
different than most of the girls in the village, though she was the youngest
child, always wanted to do the same work that us men would do. Every now and
then, my father would let her help out, until she would tire herself out, and
fall asleep. It always made us laugh.
Life continued on like this until I was 17. My brothers and I had managed to save up quite a sum of
money for ourselves. We had decided that we were going to travel the world a
bit. One place we decided, that we absolutely had to visit, was Kingston. It
was said to be the largest city in the entire Holy Oren Empire. Throughout our
years, we heard many tales of the city from traders and wanderers that passed
through Ager. These stories intrigued us greatly. With some basic supplies, and
money in our pockets, we set off to fascinating city.
The journey to Kingston ended up taking a bit longer than we had first expected, and during the long stretches of plains and woods, there were times we went hungry. But we pushed on anyways. A little bit of hunger wasn’t going to stop us from reaching Kingston. Another day of walking
went by until my brother spotted something. It was the city walls, only a
little ways away! Hurriedly, we ran towards the city, anxious to get there and
see it for ourselves. Once we had arrived at the gates, we were overwhelmed
with joy. We hadn’t the words to describe the towering wall and massive gate that
stood before us. Waiting no longer, we went inside. The city was beautiful and
disgusting at the same time. The buildings were made of a white plaster and wood
and had amazing glass windows. Although, despite the beauty, there was a foul
stench from the open sewer system that ran through most of the city. The shops
and stores seemed endless and there was a vendor at every corner. The very
first thing I ended up purchasing, was a large pint of ale from one of the pubs.
My Brothers and I stayed in the city for 4 days, until our funds ran low and we
needed to begin the journey home.
The trip back was the same as it was coming, just with a new angle on the scenery. Upon
returning to our farmstead, the place was silent, and not the silence we were
accustomed to, this silence was that of death. We searched many of the houses,
but to our dismay; we found them to be empty. We headed over to the church to
see if the Father was still around, and that is when we smelt it, burning
flesh. Quickly we raced over the hill towards the smell, and there we saw it,
the people of the town in a mass grave. We asked the people who were still living
what had happened. It was the plague. The poisonous fog from the south had
passed by while we were away, killing Father, Mother and our Sister. The plague
had swept like wildfire in the week we were gone. Over 70% of the town’s population had been
killed.
5 Years have passed since then. My Brothers
and I still tend to our farm. Though the village was crippled, it has regained
its population, with new neighbors, new faces, and new life, times have seen to
gotten better. The crops have grown moderately well and we have made some
profit as well. But despite the success and happier times, it will never be the
same to us without the rest of the family around.
And so the story leaves off here, with Erik
at age 22, living on his small farmstead in Ager with his 2 Brothers.
Ambitions for the Future: Erik is a quiet young man. Never one to stick his head out or be made known. He has ever aspired to be anything great, just to be to himself. He is quite timid and lacks a loud voice to assert himself. Despite all his drawbacks, he is a loving individual
of nature and human kind alike.
Personality: Erik is a quiet young man. Never one to stick his head
out or be made known. He has ever aspired to be anything great, just to be to
himself. He is quite timid and lacks a loud voice to assert himself. Despite
all his drawbacks, he is a loving individual of nature and human kind alike. He
seeks for peace and non-violent ways of maintaining order. He has a problem
with committing himself to anything after the loss of his family.
Skills: From the moment he was born, Erik was taught all the ins,

Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph
which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting
distance - what do you do? Answer: Upon noticing the man is up to no good, Erik makes his way towards the guard. Sure to be unnoticed by the dark-clothed man,
he points his finger briefly at the man. The guard takes notice of this and approaches
Erik. The guard calls over 2 more guards and they approach the man. Erik slowly
moves on, hoping not to be seen by the dark-figure. The last thing Erik wants,
is trouble. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening
him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: One of bandits draws his sword on the old man, and begins to shout. The other one gives the old man a good hard punch in the face, and bombards the him with swears of every type. Though Erik has very little combat experience, he does have pity for the man in this situation. Erik quickly thinks to himself all of his options. Erik is quiet, but not a coward, and
thought it would be best if he could help the old man. Erik scans the area. He notices
a hunting bow leaning against the tree about 30 feet from him. “If I am quiet
enough” Erik thinks, “I may be able to grab that bow and hit at least one of
them. That way it would be 2 on 1 against the other bandit. And if Im lucky, I
can maybe knock them both out.” Stealthily, Erik made his way to the bow, and
picked it up. He managed to make eye contact with the old man, the man gave him a look that clearly read, 'Help!'. Quickly, He grabbed the arrow and drew. He steadied his aim, and released.
To great surprise though, he had hit the bandit. He was now down on the ground.
Motionless. Erik had struck a fatal blow to the bandit hitting him in the neck.
Stunned and confused the other bandit looked for where the arrow came from, but
was suddenly stabbed by the old man. After being struck 3 times by the dagger, the
bandit fell to the ground. Out of fear and shock, Erik ran off as quickly as he
could back home, never to speak a word of the incident, in fear that he may be punished. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general
goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: Considering Erik has very little money of his own, and just barely making it by, Erik would begin his
haggling at the smallest amount possible, making the other man say the price he
wants. Erik would be looking towards new farming equipment, such as a new
bucket or shovel. Dialogue would likely go as follows:
Stall Owner, "Well hello there young lad, might I interest
you in some of my fine wares?
Erik, "Hm.. What all are ye sellin?"
Stall Owner, "What does one of your kind seek?"
Erik, "Well, I guess I could use me a new Shovel, my last
one snapped clear in two! You wouldn't happen to be sellin one, would ye?"
Stall Owner, "Well I believe today might be your day, I
have nice Iron Shovel here, right from the Blacksmith's shop here in
Arethor!"
Erik begins to assess the shovel and its fine craftsmanship.
Erik, "Well how much does ye want for it?"
Stall Owner, "Name your price lad, and we'll see if we
shant work out thine selves a deal."
Erik, "Very well 'en, 1 Mina for it!"
Stall Owner, "Ah, I see the game you wish to play. You want
me to give out the price. Smart one ye are, for being a farm boy.
Erik, "Thank you for ye compliments, but do we have a
deal?"
Stall Owner, "Though it'll cost me more than you, Ill be
willing to give it to ye for 4 Minas.
Erik, "Thanks, but why would you sell it to me for such a
low price?"
Stall Owner, "You are the first to recognize my little scandal,
enjoy the shovel."
The Stall owner locks his
shop up and heads into the alley adjacent to the stall. Erik walks off, proud
of his new shovel and his recognized intelligence. Erik then continues on his
way, hoping to make it home before nightfall.
