My mother, Leyun'yuln was an artist. My father, Sirame'ceru, was a lover of science and history. After my family's arrival in Anthos, my parents helped with reestablishing our proud race in the new lands, while my brothers and I explored. Currently, I've returned and am staying at the inn, having been unable to locate my parents. How can you declare you are Mali'thill? Beyond my physical looks and the purity of my mind, the only other declarations I can make are that my family has always been a pure-blooded Maehr'Sae family. Why do you wish to become a citizen of our cihi? My family has always resided amongst the pure. After the arrival to Anthos my parents struck out to help establish our proud city, while my brothers and I sought to find answers and seek first hand knowledge of how the lesser races were establishing themselves. It's been a number of years since, and we have decided to return to our people. What is your personal vision for our blessed race? A time in which all the lower races acknowledge that we are blessed. That our purity be without question and never threatened. That our collective wisdom and amassed knowledge be respected across the land. What does maehr'sae hiylun'ehya mean to you? As the root of our way of life, maehr'sae hiylun'ehya means to me to seek out a life of fulfillment in which I seek to better myself and my race through purity of the blood and the development of our wisdom and knowledge. What Elven phrase do you particularly take to heart? Please explain why: In all sincerity, maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. Having spent so much time away from my people, that singular phrase became a mantra. Reminding me of my past, present, and future. Spoken at first light, and before I rested each night, it was a constant guide while I traveled the lands of the lesser races we unfortunately share. What is the subject of the first book you may submit to the college? Likely on the subject of systems and the interactions/importance of each part of a system. IE. Ecosystems, the flow of energy, alchemy, etc. And to further include how one could alter connections or the importance of one part to create a desired outcome. What would be your reaction if you ever saw a human, orc and unknown Mali'aheral travel the Anthos Highway together? A mixture of impulsive disgust would be my first reaction but would quickly diminish as my curiosity as to why an 'aheral would be traveling, willingly or not, with such company. Without further study, to presume the unknown 'aheral was willingly traveling with those impure creatures would be illogical when there's the possibility otherwise. What’s your character called?: - Kalanthe Aralis What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Mali'Aheral What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 110 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood,family: - Born into the proud Maehr'Sae family Aralis, Kalanthe was a wonderful blessing and joy to his mother, Leyun'yuln, and father, Sirame'ceru. As was his right from his family's social status, Kalanthe was quickly educated from a young age, simply devouring all that was put in front of him and showing a keen interest in the true scholarly subjects such as philosophy and the natural magics and wonders of the world. Augmenting his tutoring at home, much time was also dedicated to attending lessons at the communal school where he was exposed to even more subject matter and thus was provided a well rounded education with specific interests in what one could consider higher learning. Of course, nothing was ever really that simple. Around the time Kalanthe was born, his cousin, Adormil, was also born but due to complications and a rather tragic series of events, Adormil was brought into the Aralis family to be brought up along side Kalanthe. Making the best of a tragic situation, Kalanthe's parents decided to raise the boys as if Adormil was infact Kalanthe's brother. And just 18 years later, the Aralis family was blessed with yet another child to rear. Generally uncommon for a family to be so large in such a short while, the Aralis parents thought nothing of it, as regardless of parentage, all three children were in their hearts theirs. Around Kalanthe's 75th birthday, Adormil decided to leave home in order to expand his horizons. This caused Kalanthe a bit of emotional pain as they had been together all his life. While he had his younger brother, nothing would ever quite replace the bond he had with Adormil. When the chaos started, when the very world was bent on destroying everything and everyone, some eleven years down the road, a mass exodus of Malino occurred heading to a new land called Anthos. It was then, with a terrible feeling in his whole being, that Kalanthe was dreadfully certain he'd never see Adormil. The departure to Anthos brought a number of changes to the Aralis family. Chiefly among them, Kalanthe, along with his brother Anameous, decided that while there was much to learn still from friends and family, that there was more to be had outside their city and social circles. With long nights spent discussing the choice, it was finally settled that in the pursuit of greater knowledge and understanding they could leave. Besides, two brothers traveling together, what could go wrong? Gathering up his notes and belongings, Kalanthe formulated a plan to spend sometime in the wild forest and simply observe and commune with nature as best he could, and as deeply as he could, to ferret out a better understanding on how the macrosystems and microsystems of the world worked, and how one could manipulate the parts of these systems to produce a desired outcome. Much time was spent out in the wilds, with occasional travel beyond the borders of Malinor, in order to seek out a better understanding. His brother being constant company, it wasn't so often that Kalanthe dreamed of home. Near the end of their foray in the wilderness to discover and understand the mysteries Kalanthe thought up, seemingly out of the blue and quite suddenly, Adormil walked back into their lives. There was much disbelief as both brothers were quite certain that Adormil had surely died. After a few drinks around the campfire and many stories shared, the brothers, whole and united once again, began to make their journey back home. Only very recently have the Aralis brothers returned, Kalanthe having learned all that he could and yet still feeling as if some vital piece of knowledge was missing that would bring all the pieces together into a complete whole. His brothers were just as successful in the perusal of their own goals, and thus all three decided to seek out new avenues to find the road they needed to travel. What are they like (personality)?: - Kalanthe is typically quiet and antisocial, as most of his attention is turned inward. However, if approached, he quickly shifts focus and becomes quite sociable, if a bit cold and calculated in his responses. What are their ambitions?: - Seeking out higher knowledge and a better understanding of how the relationships, interactions, and influences of different objects and principle components of macro and micro systems of the natural world work and how they could be directly influenced to produce a desired outcome. Do they have any special skills?: - A fairly proficient alchemist, due in large part to Kalanthe's scholarly research into the form and function of principal components. What are their weaknesses?: - "Flux" thinking, chiefly, and has little to no skill with weapons of any kind. When having to survive in the wilderness, Kalanthe relies on his knowledge of edible plants. "'Flux' thinking?" Basically, 'flux' represents the added unknown variable that all sentient species bring to the table. It's the stuff that defies logic, such as emotions, stereotypes, etc. So in essence, Kalanthe doesn't understand it and isn't great at it. Is situations that 'flux' arises he performs poorly as logic tends to fail. Typically these situations are social situations. Often the failure that occurs, on Kalanthe's part, is misunderstanding verbal/body cues, sarcasm, etc. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - At just over 6'4", Kalanthe's recent years living off the land has left him with a slim svelte body with a slight tan. slightly bluish hair frames his face, and his dark violet eyes flecked with gold tend to give away just how inward focused his thoughts are. Having recently travelled back to the cities of Malinor, he is now wearing his usual attire: dark robes with contrasting white stitching. Anything else you want to say about them?: - Nope.
