What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - Cobaltum_Tesla How old are you?: - 14 What time-zone do you live in?: - GMT-0 Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - I've roleplayed many time, from Garry's Mod Serious RPs, to Minecraft RPs. Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - Yes, some whitelisted, some not. I'm still reasonably new to Minecraft RPing as opposed to other game. Have you applied to this server before?(Please link past applications): - Nope. How did you hear about us?: - Found it when searching for RP servers. What do you think the server will be like? - I'm sure it will be quite scenic, from what I see on youtube videos. I'm looking forward to finding out. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes, I have. I agree. What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - This one: Both of you must agree to the type of fighting you're using - PVP or RP fighting. If you can't agree, PVP is default. Before commencing a PVP fight, you must roleplay the leading up to it, and you must also make the other player aware before you attack - e.g. an emote. I like it as there have been WAY too many servers I've gone onto and found people fighting before asking whether PVP or RP. PKing is quite common (In the way of RDM) in my experience as well. Definitions This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. What is roleplaying?: - Assuming the 'role' of a character or job, and acting out in relation to other people and their characters. What’s metagaming?: - Using information your character (IC) could not know, but that you (OOC) learned through OOC chat or OOC sharing of information, in character. What’s powergaming?: - Initiating a RP command or action and not giving the other person a chance to act, e.g. John: *Breaks into bank and steals all their moneys * In this case the guard, manager or otherwise had no chance to act. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. What’s your character called?: - Tolkar What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Elf, Common What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 20 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Tolkar grew up among his own people, in The Sister City. Elf children are rare, so Tolkar was one of only a few children there. Nearing total maturity, Tolkar decided that he wanted to travel across the land. Even though he was regarded as very young by his people, Tolkar's request was taken very seriously. He often could handle journeying out into the Wild for supplies rarely seen in the Forest. In the end, however, his proposal was turned down. Dissapointed, Tolkar went back to scavenging food and supplies for the village. One day, Tolkar returned to the village to find it burning down. Many elves were dead, and only the lucky ones managed to hide in the wrecked remains of trees and houses. Furious with hatred for the people who did this, Tolkar picked up a sturdy branch from the remains of his parents' house. He battled for hours with seemingly dark creatures that hid in the darkness. While Tolkar was distracting the assailants, the other elves went about putting out the fire. At dawn, the assailants fled, but not before throwing a badly aimed spear at Tolkar. Tolkar pushed it out of his path with his makeshift staff, and vowed to envoke vengeance on the creatures. With his former home in flames, Tolkar fled the ruins of his city and journeyed across the land, gradually journeying to the domain of the humans, and the city of Kingston. He grew to accept his fate, and goes through many races' territories, including the dwarf city of Kal'Azgoth, searching for his enemies. What are they like (personality)?: - Tolkar is a calm but shy individual who is sometimes paranoid. He tries to avoid confrontation but understands that not all violence can be avoided. What are their ambitions?: - Tolkar has vowed to avenge his village from those dark creatures. Apart from that, he would like to learn more about the mysteries of Anthos. Do they have any special skills?: - He has some experience with flora, knowing which are safe to eat and which you should avoid. He also handles a bow well, as is common for members of his race. What are their weaknesses?: - He tends to be reminded of the demise of his village by fire, although it is not always apparent whether this propels him or hinders him. Tolkar also can't swim that well, though he can keep well enough afloat. He isn't that good at hand-to-hand combat, and he can be overly paranoid. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Tolkar has brown hair and light-blue eyes. He is of medium height but is underweight. He has a scorch mark on his underside of his right-arm, and his eyebrows are often hidden beneath his bushy hair. He wears a pair of goggles he received as a gift from the Forest Dwarves on his forehead. Anything else you want to say about them?: - Not really.
