I am writing this on behalf of a player who recently applied, one 'Stealthy Burrito'. She is a good friend, and for some reason cannot connect to the server from her home. This is clearly a problem with her internet, as the server allows her to log on elsewhere, for example at a friends house, but she cannot get on through her own home network. I will provide all information mine craft gives, but perhaps one of the staff knows something of what settings her internet perhaps needs. I Roleplayed as a Ja'qol (one of the servers wolf-man hybrid races) and was a simple fisherman. I have also role-played in real life, doing things such as larping and I would like to join the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - Yes as explained above, I came from rpguilds. It was ok, but the community was not as filled with quality rpers as I would like. Have you applied to this server before?(Please link past applications): - No I have never applied, and hopefully the hour or so I spend on this application means I won't have to apply more than once. How did you hear about us?: - One of my friends suggested this in rpguilds Teamspeak chat when I announced I was leaving. What do you think the server will be like? - New Zealand? I kid, I expect the LOTR lore as well as a damn good map. But thats just the map. I also expect a good Rp community where I can role-play a balanced character, make some money, go to a pub, sing songs, get drunk, and maybe one day see some cool event happen such as fighting the elves... What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - I agree with forcing people who want to be "villainous" characters apply separately for that. It helps decrease complaints about meta-gaming, power-gaming, and general complaints about characters getting killed. What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 23 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - My Name is Saelyn, and I was born in a small hamlet on the isle of Salvus. I was Born to two wonderful parents, Drojur and Maurien Veruut. When I was a child, I fell from the apple tree outside our house and can recall little before then. What I do remember after that event when I was ten is being surrounded by wolves in the woods. This was when I was nearly 13, but luckily for me, my father heard my cries of fear and beat the wolves off with a branch he tore down from a tree. My father was a Butcher and my brothers became apprenticed to the towns smith. My mother was a good wife to my father, and spun wool into yarn during the day. My sister would help her till she became apprenticed to the seamstress in town. My Eldest brother eventually quit his job in the smithy and joined the nearest ship leaving salvos. It sank in a rough storm and he and most of the crew drowned. Since then I have never even set foot in water that I could not see the bottom of. I remember the stories my mother used to tell me of the hunters that trapped animals in the woods. In hindsight, that explains why I am a hunter today. What are they like (personality)?: - In DND terms, Chaotic Neutral (mostly because it's so easy to play a Chaotic Neutral character). Saelyn in prone to fits of rage when people boast of feats at sea. What are their ambitions?: - Saelyn would love to be a lord like any young man, but in his more realistic ambitions, he wants a quiet house in the woods near a lake where he can raise his family. Do they have any special skills?: - I can track a dear for miles on a small amount of food. Saelyn also has very good hearing and impeccable vision. He is also very skilled at riding on horse back as he frequently hunts on a horse. What are their weaknesses?: - He has a soft spot for beggars and children, especially those who are poor. This leads to him in turn being very poor. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Saelyn has darker skin, looking very tan for someone from Salvus. He has hazel-green eyes. somewhat large ears that he hides in his fur hood. Usually he wears his light brown hair in a pony tail so that it doesn't fall into his eyes when he's lining up a shot with his bow and arrows. Anything else you want to say about them?: - Saelyn is not as graceful as an elf, though some non elves say he resembles them.
