Ghoul Description: With his robe on, and hood up, he would seem a normal person, albeit with a limp. His head rests looking down usually. His cloak may have a few tatters from where the swords entered him repeatedly, though most would brush this off. He does not speak much, with his jaw hanging by mere flesh to his head.

They came from long and far.

Hearing of the great news.

The Lord Mother had spoken.

There has always been someone, who challenged the word of the churches.

They always found a new deity to worship, or merely had none.

This would always be true.

There is always a new religion coming from somewhere.. Or in this case, someone.

The Harbinger came to those who would listen.

He told of the Lord Mother, who had given birth to all that had ever been.

Not many believed.

Then came the visions.

​Whether a stroke of madness, or a true message from the Lord Mother, none could ever know.

The vision spoke of reclaiming those who had strayed from the brood, and to envelop them back.

It was then, that the believers gathered their meager possessions, and headed by sea, to a land name Athera.

Beliefs

The Lord Mother gives birth, to all that has or will be.

Those who do not believe have merely strayed from the brood, and must be reclaimed.

Those who deny the Lord Mother, are to be forced back to belief.

Killing should be avoided when possible, as all you kill are the Lord Mothers children.

Animals have no soul, and therefore may be killed.

All who meet death, shall be led back to their mother.

Those who serve her will, shall be rewarded when they are reunited with the Lord Mother.

Clothes and Behavior

The Brood, as they tend to call their religion, dresses in varying styles of clothes. As all races are under the Lord Mother, all are allowed to join the Brood. Most races will dress the same as always, though may tend to wear more greens and blacks. Many members will also wear a pendant or ring with the sigil of the Brood inbedded within. Most members of the Brood would attempt to convert non-believers peacefully at first, with mere talks and persuasions. Though, if they refuse to believe, the member may become hostile toward them, even kidnapping and torturing the individual to force them to "See the truth." The Brood would almost never kill, only when absolutely needed, and would feel extremely sad when a murder is seen or carried out by a member. A member of the Brood could break down crying, or fly into a furious fit of rage when anyone dies, depending on their personality.

Church/Guild

I am currently working on creating a guild of sorts for members of this faith, and will update this page when it is ready. Please keep an eye out for fun with The Brood!

((OOC NOTES))

I have attempted to make a new, and mainly original religion, from which many events and such could stem from. The Lord Mother's followers tend to be less prone to killing, and more prone to torturing and subduing their foes, so as to convert them. Feel free to use this religion in any of your roleplay characters, and be on the lookout for more from me based around this religion.
