Most servers I visit there's almost always someone killing other people's animals for food and it gets annoying. Killing them in certain roleplay situations is fine though, if reasonable.
Definitions
This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!
What is roleplaying?: - Behaving or acting according to a role or character that is not you. The role you take on can be another real person or a fictional character.
What’s metagaming?: - Using out of character knowledge to play your character. Very often the character's backstory and experience is ignored by a metagamer.
Example:
Player A wants to visit Player B's home.
Player B's home location isn't public.
Player A asks Player B for his home's location in out of character chat.
Player A uses that information to quickly make it to Player B's home without any RP elements.
What’s powergaming?: - Performing an action or a series of actions where the player will ignore other characters' reactions or simply not give other characters a chance to respond. Almost always ends up in an unfair scenario benefiting the powergamer.
Example:
Player A breaks into Player B's home.
Player A stabs Player B.
Player A takes all valuables from Player B's chests.
Player A escapes without injury or consequence.
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): -
Gilkas was born to Gildal and Bolia, two unknown Dwarves from Aegis. Gilkas' parents were married ever since King Belin ruled the Dwarves in Aegis. Although King Belin was a fair king, Bolia and Gildal did not want to have children because they were afraid terrible things would come in the near future due to the war declared on the Humans by King Charles. Due to other conflicts and the fall of Aegis, Bolia and Gildal weren't able to have a child until they were in Asulon. For a while they lived in Karik until they were forced to move to Khaz'A'Zhar and then Mount Ire. It wasn't until they were forced to move to Elysium that they finally decided to have a child. Seeing the amount of moving they had been doing, they spent little time making this decision. After just one year on Elysium, Bolia became pregnant with Gilkas.
Gilkas was born in the mountains of Elysium and lived there for 9 years. As a child, Gilkas was always attached to his father. He admired his father's courage and strength. To this day, Gilkas still remembers the nights he would spend in his mother's arms while his father would defend their home from Zombie Pigmen. As he aged, he learned to fight with his father's help. However, he was never able to learn how to wield a bow since it was ineffective when fighting Zombie Pigmen at very close distances. When Gilkas was 8 years old, his father died to a fireball from a Ghast. It was the first Ghast Gilkas had ever seen and it frightened him every night for the next year. Tired of the dangers from Zombie Pigmen and Ghasts, Gilkas' father decided to sail to Kalos and look for a good place to raise Gilkas. However, Kalos was less forgiving than Elysium and much harsher. Gilkas and his mother waited and waited for Gildal's return but by the time they were forced to sail off to Anthos, they had not heard from Gildal.
Gilkas and Bolia spent their first 3 years in Anthos looking for any sign of Gildal. They traveled in all directions, coming face to face with Humans and Elves but they found no sign of Gildal. On their fourth year in Anthos and on Gilkas' 13th year of life they had settled into the cold, snowy, southwestern mountains with other Dwarves. It was there that Gilkas was able to improve his mining, blacksmithing, and combat skills. Gilkas made friends of all ages and most of the male Dwarves became father figures to him. Gilkas was able to learn very little from Forest and Cavern Dwarves, the majority of his knowledge came from the Mountain Dwarves and his experiences with his father in Elysium.
One night when Gilkas was 19 years old, his mother passed away peacefully. Bolia had been suffering a lot since Gildal had disappeared; her nutrition was poor and she would often spend all day roaming the rivers along the mountain's edge. That same night, Gilkas found Water Nymphs in his mother's trunk and a half empty vial of thick oil. He decided to leave the mountains for a short amount of time while he coped with everything.
Before leaving his large Dwarven family, he was given Greaves by the Forest Dwarves, Leggings by the Cavern Dwarves, and a Chestplace, Pauldrons and Wrist Guards by the Mountain Dwarves.
For the past five years, Gilkas has been roaming around the mountains looking for adversaries to destroy and frequenting taverns looking for barrels of ale to drink. He takes on jobs for a short while before quitting and moving to another area. He roams the land looking for answers to his father's disapperance and coping with his mother's death. He wishes to return to the southeastern mountains soon but he's not exactly sure when he'll make the journey back.
What are they like (personality)?: - Gilkas has a stoic face and is very reserved. He has a soft spot for orphans, and children with one parent. He is loyal and respectful. Gilkas barely speaks unless he feels he has to. When he drinks, he remembers his family's past and often wanders around looking for monsters to fight. He cares about his Dwarven brothers and sisters and he'll fight for them at any given moment. He fears nothing except for Ghasts.
What are their ambitions?: - Gilkas wants to know what happened to his father. He also wishes to overcome his fear of Ghasts. Gilkas wants to master his combat skills and defend his people (Dwarves) from any and all dangers. He wants to write a novel recalling his tale before he dies.
Do they have any special skills?: - Gilkas has learned to dual wield axes and has learned to use his axe as a very effective shield. (I don't expect to or plan to actually dual wield weapons in combat while on the server, it's just an interesting thing he learned. The shield aspect is only because More Player Models allows an item in the hotkey bar to be shown on his back - also won't affect my gameplay.) He has also learned to use his sword to help him climb the harshest mountains.
From living among a lot of chickens when he was young, he learned to care for them and learned to efficiently hunt them for food.
What are their weaknesses?: - Fear of Ghasts. High chance of making emotional/impulsive decisions when his father or mother are mentioned. Gilkas's decisions and actions are also influenced by the fact that he really wants to find the truth about his father. He's also very bad with Bows and has very bad aim with them.
Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - He wears boots made of leather and tree bark, pants made from leather and lapis lazuli by the Cavern Dwarves, and a stone chestplate, stone pauldrons, and metal/leather wrist guards.
He has blue eyes and a small nose that's overshadowed by his mustache.
He has long bright red hair and a beard as bright and as long as his hair.
He also wears a belt made from the hair of a giant Orc, in which he carries a vial of thick oil...
Anything else you want to say about them?: - Gilkas loves spending some of his nights drinking ale and eating steaks. He also sharpens his swords and axes every night. He prefers to be alone most of the time but will team up and join a clan if he feels he has to.
