In-Character Information What’s your character called?: - Valdras Agares What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Elven What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 36 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Valdras spent most of his young life under the supervision of his father, as he lost his mother to the Scourge when the city of Luminaire fell. His father never quite recovered from the situation, remaining distant from his son aside from predetermined educational sessions. His father taught him many skills over the course of his childhood, though they mainly pertained to archery, wilderness survival, and magic. Valdras learned a few air evocation spells to suppliment his work as a scout/mercenary, but he also gained a minimal command over the school of Alteration; however, his knowledge of Alteration is highly specialized and doesn't tend to stray from Void Translocation or Telekinesis.
It wasn't long before Valdras was called to action. The Conclave arose, sparking a civil war between the elven races. Valdras spent his young adulthood as a scout in the Conclave military where he was praised for his efficiency, speed, and agility. It was during this time that he developed a magical technique called "Wind Running." After the Conclave overthrew the High Council, Valdras deserted the Conclave military in lieu of mercenary work; this proved to be a brilliant tactic, as the need for mercenaries soared during the aftershocks of the war. He amassed a rather large track record in the industry, one that consisted of mainly successful contracts.
As of late, Valdras has neglected his position as a mercenary in lieu of advancing his study of magics. What are they like (personality)?: - Valdras is a free spirit, drifting about wherever the wind takes him (literally and figuratively). He keeps a cheerful and friendly demeanor, though this is no doubt a front for his calculative, efficient, and highly logic-based manner of thinking. He is not a natural born leader and is not stern with his subordinates (when they are assigned to him); however, they tend to obey his orders and follow him without question, simply because of the aura of confidence he carries with everything he does. He is known to innovate, often approaching situations with unorthadox or unused methods. What are their ambitions?: - Valdras isn't really the ambitious type. He mostly strides for recognition, wether it be in his mercenary work or in his command over magic. Do they have any special skills?: - Valdras is very profficient with a bow and shortsword, but his real talent resides in his understanding of magic. He's a practicioner of a method of travel called "Wind Running," a technique where the user travels at high speeds across land and through the air through the use of small gusts of wind. He's very good at camoflauge and knows how to survive in jungle, forest, plains, and desert environments. He's very good at lying, charismatic, and has a large imagination. What are their weaknesses?: - He's very arrogant and confident in himself, so much so that he tends to ignore ciriticism when it comes to his occupation. He also has an innate fear of the undead, having lost his mother to them at a young age. The loss of his mother to the Scourge had such a profound impact on his life the Valdras shows signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder regarding the event. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Unlike most elves, Valdras keeps his blonde hair short and usually tamed with a pair of goggles or his hood. He has a small scar on his already well-defined jawline, gray eyes, and an athletic build. He stands at 6'6, often clad in camoflauged light armor or neutral colored robes.
