So theres a new map every year?

Am I missing this or is there no map that actuarially shows what the world looks like? I just applied and I can't see to find anything, and when I was a sou looking at the map I did not know what it was. A large flat land and obsideon hills? Then theres a forest that doesn't look like a forest ? Im pretty confused on the whole map idea and what the world looks like.

What do you think the server will be like? - I think it will allow me to build a small village up north, it will provide me rp when I want it, and solitude when I just want to travel the map. What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is using something that would over power your character. Something that you would control and benefit your character. It was a small village on the top of a mountain that five families maintained their selves. When Ragnar was born he killed his mother, he always blamed his self for what happen. He was also the youngest of three bothers. His brothers all looked exactly like him, they had dark brown hair, with very pale skin. Their eyes being very light blue, often referred to the color of ice. When Ragnar was five he lost a brother to disease. His father was growing old and week and losing a son tore the life from him. The remaining brothers struggled to survive with out there father, they were forced to make their own tools and clothing. Ragnar often worked with tending the live stock but on occasion his brothers would take him hunting. As Ragnar grew up he learned how to survive is the harsh environment that was the north. He learned to fight using the family war hammer, he learned to create clothing made of leathers and sheep wool. When Ragnar turned 16 his second oldest brother married a girl and moved away. This left the remaining Bloodhammer's another worker short. His father was old and too week to work, they had to take care of him. When Ragnar was 26 his father died, the village mourned the death. His father had always help the village and now his legacy lied with the remaining Bloodhammers. His famous war hammer went to Ragnars oldest brother. The family moved out of the home and turned it into a livestock pen. They each built their own home in the villages. The village was reality peaceful, not many fights occurred, but Ragnar wasn't happy. He did not like living in the village, seeing the same people every day. He also loved fighting with his brothers. He had never been given a chance to be in a real fight where steal met steal. He was thinking of leaving the village, but he wondered what would happen to his brothers. They had lost a brother, and a father, what would they do if he left? Life was always hard in the north and Ragnar had to make a decide what he would do with the rest of his life but he was not sure at all. What are they like (personality)?: - He loves his family, but he also wants to leave his village to go join an army or become a watchman in Winterfell. He's not sure what he wants to do with the rest of his life. He is also strong, and knows how to survive in the harsh environment. He has many questions about life but he doesn't know exactly how he will answer them. What are their ambitions?: - His ambitions are simply to survive and keep his family alive. The north is very harsh and he just wants to live. He also wants to be in a battle before he dies. Do they have any special skills?: - He's able to hunt and survive in the north. Its a very hard climate to survive but living there his entire life he has learned the necessary skills he would need. What are their weaknesses?: - His weaknesses are his family and friends. He would die if he had to for his family and would follow them to his death. He's also very loyal and sometimes to loyal. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Ragnar has dark brown hair with eyes the color of ice. He is rapped in furs to stay warm. He is tall being 5'11". He carries tools on him suck as a war hammer, dagger, and leather for mending his cloths. Anything else you want to say about them?: - He's a very loyal person and will follow the people he trust.
