What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is the changing of ones attitude and behavior in order to fill a more desirable personal and public image. I.E. Me being a 19 year old wood elf with daddy issues while in ooc I am a 15 year boy with a roof over his head and plenty of food. What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming within role playing is the use of knowledge that a player would know of that their charcter shouldn't. I.E. owning a gun -_- guns didn't exist in these times and personally that is just stupid xD (stupidest thing i could think of besides drving an 18 wheeler through the forest) What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming within roleplaying is the villianous act of forcings one's own desired actions upon other people. I.E forcing another charcter to fight you or forcing a female charcter to marry you (guys cmon and have some standards) In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - You look over across the tavern, and you see a young misterious elf. You notice his scarred shoulder and burnt gloves so of curiosity you turn and ask the bar-keep,"who be that elf in the corner." Unaware of the story that is about to unfold, the bar-keep replies,"Aye, that be quite a tale have you the time or patience to hear it." You reply, "I've got as much time as you've got ale, please do tell." The story begins to unweave as the bar-keep begins,"This young man be a Wood Elf, or Mali'Ame if you will,son of Milan as all elfs are. He was abandoned at young and hail to Iblees if you don't believe the hardships he has faced. He would be dead without the keen luck of Milan on his side." The bar-keep ponders for a second and asks,"wait what would a dwarf as yourself be doing her in Lin'ame?." You quickly reply,"Just....buissness, please do continue with the story." The bar-keep replies," very well." and continues the tale," The name of the elf be Derum Forestwing master archer and renound sneak, he could shot the apple off the head of a running ent while blindfolded. Amazingly he has yet to learn to tie his boots." you look across and see Derum's boots untied and give a slight chuckle. The bar-keep continues," As I said earlier he was abandoned at a young age left to die after an selfish orc attack on his village, luckily he was able to climb the trees and hide in the leaves, dumb selfish brutes didn't think of looking up there, he was safe. Or so he thought, the branch he was standing on snapped and he fell nearly a hundred feet. he tried to grab on to the tree, and suceeded at that but not without a cost, he completely tore the skin off this left arm. Seeing he was too low to the ground to hide he had to cause a diversion.... he lit the tree on fire, somehow only burning the one, the orcs swarmed the area around the tree in search of him, to no avail he was long gone half a mile before they could smell the smoke. He was indeed fast, and cunning but that was at a young age. Over the years he had to mature quickly he can talk a man out of his boots and sell a snow elf a jar of ice. At the age of 10 he came accross a burning house, he quickly rushed inside find two dead elves and one living, the living elf was ten years of age just as he was. She was scared hopeless infact her parents were dead and she thought she would soon join them. He rescued her treated her wounds and took her with him. The two became best of friends training and hunting together, laughing smiling enjoying their lives. But all good things may come to an end as did the era of peace before Iblees long, long ago. While hunting the girl began halucinating and thought that she saw a doe, she followed it, as she was about to take a the shot she heard a cry in the distance, she fell. She was standing on a cliffside and when startled by the cry she fell hundreds of feet, body never to be found some believe she may not have died but, you can never trust a rumour. He mourned at his lost for years and prayed to Milan daily but to no result. At the age of 18 he began to save those in danger, those alone, and those that were scared. He lives his life to help people seeing them not for who they are but who they can be in his guidance he wants more for them then he got out of himself. Two months ago, he saw a child in the street being beating by an awkward character so when he asked the character to stop, the man attacked him and burned him. Derum killed the man even though he didn't want to he had to survive. Derum fought in self defense and got no punishment for killing the man. Ever since he's been saving twice as many people trying to fix his wrongs. He still hunts he still prays and he is still the best archer you'd ever see but be careful, he may bite," the bar-keep laughs and walks away. You get up and tighten the grip on your short blade. You walk to Derum and stab his chest, Derum passes out and you are jailed. The man Derum killed was your brother Derum to this day visits your cell to apologize for his wrongings hoping to get your forgiveness. What are they like? (personality): - Dependant on human interaction in order to function, they find hope where others lack it, and most of all emotionally damaged due to a long past of harsh times and abandonment issues What are their ambitions?: - He strives to write his wrongs, And to save as many people as he can. his side goals in life are to perfect his shot and he often hopes to find his friend. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Strengths:He can fire arrows at a brisk pace, He is fast and agile, yet still cunning and sneaky. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Born within Lin'ame, this Wood elf was abandoned at a young adolecent age (about 5 or six years of age). He quickly had to train himself to hunt for food and grow crops in secrecy to stay out of sight of stray animals such as wolves and bears. Knowing little about magic he learned to hold a flame within his hand to provide light where it was needed, and also carries a bow with him everywhere he goes (his last possesion after abandonment). At the age of 15 he was attacked by several goblins, being fast and agile he was able to hide amongst the tree tops in order to escape, but not without injury. He has a scar on his left arm were a finely crafted shortsword had dug into his arm, he had to burn his arm with his flame in order to cartorize it and in doing so lost all feeling within his left arm. He on countless occcasions has cut open his arm without noticing for a day or two. Lastly his story leaves off with a young man the age of 19 being alone in the woods of Lin'ame or so he thought...
