A lone elf scours the ashes, broken hands sifting through brittle rubble and burning cinders, searching for something to rebuild with. 'Father,' the elf pleads aloud, 'deliver us...' Bitter tears clean ash from cheeks coated in dust.

Faeinn added the tract to her small, precious bundle, treasured under her pillowcase. As she slipped the brittle, fragile bark scroll under the rough cotton, she gazed at her collection. Her little holy book.

The elf brought the stuffed pillow outside. She passed her eyes across the words, each one in succession from the earliest to the latest missive. She drank in their meanings until the sentences were meaningless. She swam in the concepts that she felt beating in her chest.

She set her sacred text aflame. She had no need for its physicality, being imprinted in her soul. The next words of truth would meet a similar fate - consumed, and discarded, more permanent in her mind than in the world.

Faeinn sighs heavily. "I think it's about time we brought our wayward kin back into the fold. Errant children won't escape their punishments."

i thought there was no hidden lore tho just stuff for future BIG REVEAL events??? this is all about magic groups and boring 'historical' drivel??? 

Well, tell me about how she interacts with the world or how people perceive her to. Does she create tsunamis, hurricanes? Do sailors believe she grants them favor or ill luck? How does she interact or feel about other aengudaemons like the Aspects? Is she sympathetic, vengeful, aloof, maybe fickle like the sea itself? Personally I'd like to see that sort of stuff answered with brief tales or examples, y'know?

Axalia should have more to her, but I support a patron of the sea.

I really get into wood elven lore/culture, and I do know things about druidry.

Who do you not get along with on the Lore Team?: I don't know, Jistuma has good roleplay but I'm not such a fan of some of his lore.

Remarks: Listen, I'm applying because for me, LOTC's lore is whack, and I'm always complaining about it. And it's always been something incredibly important to me - a good fantasy story must have a great universe. I want lore that is felt and lived and experienced by a majority of the server, on the server, built on solid foundations that the playerbase works off of and adjusts and adapts for their own roleplay. I don't want people to read a forum thread to know our lore or our universe.

And yeah, I do rag on the LT LD. I complain about it a lot. That’s THE BEST REASON to make me an LT LD, because I think it sucks. I want to join it so I can help make it better. There’s no reason to join a team if you think it’s already working perfectly.

Faeinn wonders if the people on their side ever think to themselves that they might be the bad guys. I mean, they have Dread in their name. And a corpse on their heraldry. It must occur to them, right? Next they'll have skulls on their helms.

Faeinn reminds her friends in the Sirame and the other citizens of Linandria that though he might've been abrasive, he was yet an elf - a good, whole wood elf, who served nature and his Prince loyally, and now has left us. It was his time, but there is no need to poison his lingering memories with foul thoughts and words.

Faeinn smiled sadly over at her father, her hand reaching out for her codex of elven laws and bureaucratic proceedings to flip through once again.

Faeinn mourns the need for ceremony and officiality when choosing a mate, yet swells with joy for Arahaelth.

One wonders what causes such an exodus of all these staff members.

Sure, school's coming up - but many of these people quitting have been staff for previous school years.

Faeinn awakens from another dream. She blinks, seeing the sheaf on her chest that she'd read the night before.

The woman clutches the Prophet's words to her breast. She kisses the dried blood that he used. She feels the life that he ground into the text. 

Her mind doesn't bother itself with the sentences. She forgets them all soon after. But the creature below her thoughts held the latest teaching close.

While I'm sure she's a great person with the right qualifications and all, I don't feel that she's been part of the LOTC community long enough to understand it, moderate it, and deal with every aspect of it as you do when you're a staff member. And jeez, most GMs are distanced enough from the playerbase and she's barely become a part of it.
