    This change in Taxation is by order of his Imperial Majesty, Emperor John Horen. His Imperial Excellency has surveyed his Empire and found it wanting. As per his Imperial Majesty’s order, the Tithe has been put in place in order to rectify more demanding facets of the Empire, such as but not limited to;

Growing Deficit in the Empire’s Economy

The Continued Renovation and Upkeep of Imperial Structures and Holdings

Pay of Imperial Vassals, Soldiers and Retainers

Building up a Healthy Imperial Treasury for future Crises or Defense of the Empire.

5th of the Amber Cold, 1527

  2. A Staunton scribe would distribute his account of what happened on the 8th of The Snow’s Maiden, 1525.

((Some themed music for the occasion))  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRrss4kBi2M

Chanting could be heard throughout the opulent Northern harbor of Port Vydrik. Men, women and children shouted in unison, their discordant cries blending into a single, baleful hum as they stood expectantly. The throng gathered closely around a mound of straw whereupon a man was crucified, head bowed earthwards in agonizing exhaustion. Hurling vengeful cries towards the wretch, the crowd jeered in anticipation of the justice that was soon to come.

The Count of Westmark, Percival Staunton, emerged amidst a small retinue, marching upwards to meet the mass of onlookers. A guard of the Vydrik Watch stood near to the prisoner, in his right hand a flaming torch. He awaited command from his liege-lord, his eyes focused upon him.

Percival began to address the bloodthirsty crowd.

“Citizens of Westmark. Today justice will, as always, prevail. I do this in the name of His Majesty, King Guy de Bar. Let this be an example to all who seek to defy his laws. Any man who kills civilians and proceeds to stab men of the Church will be condemned to the fire."

His gaze would be cast towards the Dunamis soldier, clutching his death warrant as signed by Guy de Bar.

“Danis Revlis. You are sentenced to death, as per the Lexicon of Ashford for your crimes of assault, murder and robbery. I pray that the Creator is merciful upon you.”

Percival Staunton of Westmark would then give a curt nod to the guardsman, who would proceed to set the hay underneath the platform alight with a simple underhanded toss of the torch.

With the perfunctory act that sealed his demise, the crucified man could only watch as the flames beneath him engulfed the hay. The embers rapidly became howling flames, in turn scolding the body of Danis and enveloping him in a fiery radiance. Over the din of the satisfied mob, the Count and his kinfolk silently signed the Lorraine.

    Justice was served.

Citizen door keys will be redistributed to ensure the safety of all citizens. With that, a new law is to be set out for use of the citizen doors located near the docks and the main gate.

The Citizenship door near the main gate of the city, as well as by the docks, are to ONLY be used by citizens and trusted companions of that citizen. Citizens are to NEVER let in someone they do not know, especially a large group wishing entrance upon the city. This means you are to never let in a group of bandits or raiders, even if they pay you. If you are found guilty of letting in someone that is banished within Khalestine, bandits, a raiding party, or anyone that enters the city that is not a citizen but ends up breaking the law, you are subjected to the one or more of the following consequences, depending on the severity ; A fine of up to 2000 minas, the possibility of revoking citizen door keys, the possibility of banishment and eviction, the possibility of public execution.

Do you understand this law, and will ensure to follow it? This also applies to all household members as well. - Yes

  6. You try to mock me when you and your family mate with elves and inbreed, you scum will meet your end. You indeed should be scared, you and your family will be purged and i will take great pleasure in plunging my sword into your treacherous heart.

If Percival ever got this message he would truly wonder where the accusations of inbreeding and Elves? Came from. He would also await the Great Purge of the House Mallister, come to rid the lands of the Staunton scum.

  7. Sarus laughs at the empty threats from the Stauntons "It seems the last three times you have had a chance to fight, you have hidden in the keeps of your scum brethren, shivering in your boots, praying for the coalition to leave, only to come out and be beaten in open combat almost every single time. Make your empty threats Stauntons, for i will enjoy meeting you face to face...

Percival would quiver as he hears word of this.

"Truly, we can never defeat the coalition, it's might so evident, with its fine and skilled warriors such as yourself, doing the valiant work of the Creator."

Percival would proceed to flail his arms, running around the streets of Felsen in terror. "Who can stop the mighty Mallisters? How will we ever defeat them?"

  8. "If he is a pawn and a nobody, what does that make you? I'm saying this because you and you family are of lesser beings. Perhaps some interbreeding with some Ologs?" Dagr would reaffirm what he wrote with a simple nod before letting the carrier boy take it off.

That would make me a rook, obviously, sufficiently valuable for Adria to offer a number of things to try to secure my loyalty.

He would send the courier back.

  9. "Agreed"

Athirius would nod in approval towards Constantine, set on a stool outside his cell, dragging a whetstone against his blade.

"No one gives a ****," grumbles Constantine.

Would grumble "I dun't give two shites vhat Sarus does, his house is already a disgrace to the North.." he'd unload another piece of loot from his saddlebags, shoving the item into his back pocket for safe keeping.

Percival would nod, wondering to himself what ground the Mallisters have to stand on, when many of his own side condem his poor attempt to discredit the Stauntons.

  10. Percival would smirk Savoyardly upon reading this. "Such savage traitors do not deserve to hold any Union with our family anyway. This letter from this low life has made my day a good one. You are /literally/ nobody, a vagabond. A pawn on Adrias chess board. I look forward to plunging my sword into your body when next we meet on the open field of battle, Mallister. When we hold Vanaheim and the North in the name of the Crownlands you are your kin will be hunted down, so you may not even cower in the North."

Percival would proceed to kill as many Adrians as he could get his hands on, and would note to kill a Mallister, if he could find anybody who knew who they were.

He would also note there is little glory to North, and that the few people who reside there are largely mislead indoctrinated Mallister-like scum.

  11. "I think I've plough't this man's wife", Marvin muses as his eyes cross the signature 'Percival Staunton', his finger and thumb rubbing his fuzzy chin. He takes a second, obviously in thought, before simply shrugging to his companion, "I suppose that matters as little as he does."

Percival would look forward to decapitating any man who would claim to have 'ploughed' his wife.
