Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):He was born in a small town, near a mountain which had a small Dwarven trading town half-way up. The dwarves town had no association with the Uruguan, and was not charted on many maps. It lay in the land of The Fringe. The human town likewise did not get visited by Oren, as it was not a valuable asset to the emperor, who at the time, had not opened up further settlement into the land and still ruled from the old world. The town was mainly a logging town, but because of it's harsh environment, hunting was the main source of food, until he was 12 his father taught him how to hunt with a bow, and walk on the balls of his feet to stay silent while they hunted. Elijah's grandfather used to be the best hunter in the town, until one night he went insane, and tried to ride a flaming deer into the church. Elijah's father worried about it running in the family, but his mother always assured him it did not. Elijah's family was poor, but always had food on the table. Everything changed, though, on one fateful night. It was church day, and Elijah was late, due to the fact that he lost track of time while hunting. Usually his father would come get him, but that night, his father did not come. Thinking nothing of it he simply walked to the hunting cabin where they stored meat until the butcher was ready to buy it. He cleaned himself up, as humans do when going to visit the creator, but as he did, he noticed a reddish glow over the trees. It was well past sundown and this was strange, as there would be no reason why this should be. He went to investigate only to find the town engulfed in flames. In horror he ran to the church, finding burnt, suffocated and bloody bodies of those who tried to escape. He tried to open the church door but it was barricaded from the inside. When he finally broke through one of the windows he was horrified to find that there were enough bodies of people to walk from the podium to the door. He found his mothers corpse burnt and charred. His father was standing there, a torch in left hand, sword in his right, and sobbing and laughing. He looked up to Elijah, and ran towards him swinging his torch wildly. Elijah stepped back, not knowing what to do, eventually pulling out his skinning knife and thrusting it out. His father threw himself on the knife. Elijah asked "why da?" Elijah's fathers eyes grew wide, as he looked around, realizing for the first time what he had done. Tears swelled in his fading eyes, as he whispered to Elijah "Get to... *coughs blood* the dwarves". Elijah ran to the dwarven town in fear, sadness, anger, and the realization that for the first time insanity ran in the family. Elijah mad it a small dwarven town halfway up the mountain. At this time the scourge was at the height of its attack, destroying the human and dwarves capital in the old world, causing the leaders to flee into the fringe to recuperate. The influx of refugees from the old world overwhelmed the town government. The local economy took a plunge, and the gates were closed due to fear that the Scourge may turn their attention to to the town. When Elijah arrived, his only skills were being able to hide, tread lightly, and use a bow, the only job he could do was hunting, which was not an option, as the gates were closed. He took to a life of petty thievery, mugging, and robbery. On the streets he attuned his skill in running for his life, knife fighting, and fisticuffs, although his bow skills began to lack. Most nights when not stealing or hiding, he would lie awake, behind a crate, or in an alley, thinking of the horrid night when his family was taken from him. In his time on the streets, he learned that alleys could mean death when running from large groups, and sleeping in a spider den could cause a lethal infection. This manifested into a fear of tight spaces and spiders. After four years of crime, he got in over his head. He robbed the mayors strongbox, and had local guards swarming him in no time. He put up a good fight, but eventually took a massive cut to the face. Knocked unconscious and bleeding out, the guards left him to die. He would have died, if he were not found by a dwarf named Arog Floreck. Arog Floreck lost his son, sarco, many years before, when the plague ran rampant and any who were even sick with Grish were executed. Arog willingly and gladly adopted two sons, Groger the dwarf, and Elijah. He already had 3 remaining sons Argog, Dargrind, and Kip. The family was poorer than most, because of their large numbers. Both the mother and the father worked as coal miners, and the sons did odd jobs for pocket change. Elijah, realizing their position, went back to thievery, but this time, only stole from the rich and wealthy. This went well, until, at 17, merely one year after his adoption, the mines collapsed, leaving their parents dead, and Dargrind in custody of the children. Something changed in Dargrind, some say he went insane, others, say he truly became sane for the first time. No matter what anyone said, he began to believe in a god, named Goren. Elijah lost faith in the creator when his first parents died, and the Brathmordakin when his second died. His faith changed, and he moved to Gorenism a month after the accident. When Elijah was 18, Dargrind was imprisoned for heresy. All the other brothers, who were not quite of age were taken to another town to live in an orphanage. Elijah stayed in town for a while, now an adult, before he left at 21. He went out to make is own life, but fell on hard times in the Fringe, especially after the old world had fallen, and after living away from Oren society for so long, he found it hard to adapt. Many humans would point, and call him strange for talking in a slightly dwarven accent. He ordered the wrong kind of mead, and even once got into a fight defending dwarven customs saying they are better than the elves. When The fringe fell, he saw this as a new opportunity, one in which he could find his dwarven brothers. He did days of research, checking records, talking to legionaries, guards, and even Uruks. He finally found out that Dargrind was released from prison a while back, and learned that he had lead his brother to create a small settlement, named Kal'konul. The town was near where the monks lived. When he arrived though, it was abandoned, as he later learned that sarco and kip had joined the grand axes, thus the town was moved to behind the capital. He could not reach it, since the dwarves leaders would not let him in the walls, and fell into depression. He moved to Athera after Thales fell, where he takes the new opportunity and is on his quest to find the dwarves which were his brothers over so many years.
