What is roleplaying?: Creating a role or filling a role, and acting as that character would in the world in which it exists. Achieving goals, attempting to view things from their perspective, et cetera.
What is metagaming?: Using OOC information for an advantage ICly. Example: Knowing that the leader of another faction is offline at certain times due to real life situations, and attacking their faction.
What is powergaming?: Focusing solely on your character's level and trying to max them out, instead of participating in roleplay.

Growing up in New Abresi can be tough for anyone, considering the bandits that plague the nearby roads, but for some it can be easier. Maeron was lucky enough to be born into a well-respected family, and lacked very little in his childhood. His family were proud of their Southeron blood, and considered it a matter of honour to try and preserve their people's legacy. While his father and mother were focused on keeping the traditions of the Southerons, Maeron was more interested in testing himself and his limits. He studied whatever he could, sparred with much older boys, and dabbled in the arts. Life was an adventure to the boy, and he intended to make the most of it.
As he grew older, his abilities grew, as well. His passion for excitement was a constant source of growth, both physically and socially. However, it was also a source of grief for his family. After wooing a young lady, he absconded with her for a weekend, the two of them enjoying the romantic getaway. The spurned fiancee of the young lady was not pleased with this at all, and demanded a duel with Maeron. Maeron happily agreed, eager to flaunt his prowess in battle. Traditionally, duels of this nature would be settled at first blood, but things took a turn when Maeron ridiculed the fiancee into a duel to the death. The duel itself was short, and Maeron didn't even take a scratch, but his family was ashamed. They disowned him and told him to never return home, so that he couldn't bring anymore shame upon them. This was a blow to Maeron, though he wouldn't ever admit it. He took to wandering, until he found a mercenary company to hire on with. His feats of arms earned him respect among the others, but his restlessness would soon encourage him to leave. Where he goes next, is the next great adventure in the life of Maeron.

Ambitions: To push himself to achieve great feats of arms, and possibly regain the honour he has lost.

He wears nice clothing, made of red and gold silks, and covered by polished bronze scale armour.
