What is roleplaying?: When you make a character with personality and play as that person. What is metagaming?: Knowing and using information that your character has no realistic way of knowing or simply obtaining. What is powergaming?: When your character acts without giving the other player a chance to respond initially making things go just your way.
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.
Character’s name: Zianna Myst Character’s gender: Female Character’s race: Dark Elf Character’s age: 51 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): From as far as Zianna can remember she was always on the run with her parents in Embermoor, a realm in Athera, before she ended up alone. It has been 6 years since the assassination of her mother. Zianna’s disgraceful father practiced dark magic in order to steal and trick others. Her mother protected her child from his temper, as she was a witcher for most of her life. She was murdered when Zianna was 45 after her father found out his wife had conceived another child- a noisy burden, just how he saw Zianna. Despite how horrible her father was, her mother was always a caring, nurturing person that loved her daughter very much. She told Zianna stories of her witchery days and about how much she enjoyed Leuvaarden’s wonderful wine whenever she could manage to obtain it. Even though her father was a horrible elf he did teach her to wield a sword and bow and arrow so that his daughter wouldn’t be a complete bother to him. The night that Zianna’s father murdered her mother she gave her a satchel full of money that she took from her husbands box, so that Zianna could survive until she could find an occupation that she could live on. She passed down a broken staff to her daughter so that she would have something to remember her by. That night Zianna escaped from her father to Ker’nor while he murdered her mother. She knew he would not dare follow her to the city for fear that he would be caught and imprisoned for his crimes. Zianna is currently 51 years old and has followed her mother’s words to be a good person-to help others in need. She is 5’4, dark blue hair with deep purple eyes with a hint of sadness from her past. She is by no means a thin helpless elf. She has a sleek toned muscle core and legs from training and some traveling. Even though Zianna has a caring nature she will not hesitate to use force in order to protect herself. She is determined to become a witcher and find out how to practice Alchemy. Unfortunately her mother never got to tell her the specifics on obtaining information to pursue her goals. So Zianna must travel to find someone to tutor her. Zianna has kept her mothers’ staff and hopes to someday repair it once she learns how. Until then Zianna will learn and try to make a name for herself- a respectful name her mom would be proud of.
Personality Traits: Quiet around new people to be able to absorb all the information she can about them. Picky, stubborn, loyal, outgoing once accustomed to people around her. Ambitions: To repair mother’s broken staff, and find a way to learn Alchemy. Wants to be a witcher to be able to help others. Strengths/Talents: Retains new information easily and is flexible. Fast with a bow and arrow. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Distrusting of others intentions. Is clumsy when nervous and hesitates when maneuvering a sword.
