Cenwall Glaeus, looks around to the crowd amassing in the upper district, he'd step up next towards the podium with his tall form stiff and rigid; A deep resonating voice would bellow towards the crowd "I, Cenwall Glaeus hereby announce my candidacy for the office of Okarir'indor. As some of you may very well remember my family has a history for serving the people of Haelun'or and I indeed strike intent on doing the same."

  6. Gildor would hear news of this letter while helping High King Artimec hunt an orc who assaulted a small elven child, not knowing if he should feel insulted or flattered that he was not mentioned in the list of exiles he decides that recruiting and finding a base for The Vigil is more important; turning to talk to a loyal 'Ame Sirame stating."My worst fear is shedding the blood of my kin... However this news only confirms the fact that my kin are weak. They plan for building a new army, scheme behind closed doors to bring freedom to our people, and are destroying the peace The Orenian Empire has provided for the world and our blessed people. They have become bloodthirsty condemning many of the elves serviced into 'The Vigil' on the same boat, calling them all treasonous when many of them were not acknowledged of this act or even participated, myself included, yet they are so bloodthirsty for revenge they threatened many of my kin of death at first sight. They reinforce their hypocrisy by attacking the very blood they swear to protect. Their minds are dull, looking to risk the lives our blessed kin... We call ourselves more intelligent than many other races yet our leaders fail to realize that if you wish for true independence all you must do is look to the 'Ame. They have been loyal. They have their culture. They are not subjugated by humans yet are respected very highly. I only hope The Silver City, MY motherland can elect leaders that realize the reality of our situation... of their situation... for we will come with death if they are so daft to challenge the Orenian Empire". his form would rest on the cobbled walls of Sutica as they resolve the situation that was at hand; He would go back to leading the Vigil while Finnadh was recuperating from his recent scuffle in Haelun'or.

  7. Krism truly has great attitude towards anything he does and I believe he would add platform on which new and old players could experience the full lore of the server in a ready to use, nostalgic and easy to access way. He also is a good team player and could be a much needed asset to the AT team, working his best with those around him. Furthermore he truly has a drive to genuinely help new players have a connection to past and current lore by delving deep into the great, mystical, exciting and rich lore we as people have made on LOTC. For these reasons I will have to give him my endorsement. +1

    Vigil training exercises

    Formation & Physical Conditioning

    Spoiler

Every rank must undertake formation training, for even the newest recruit may already possess skill, but even the most tempered officer may not know their formations. After formation training, team-building exercises will commence for The Vigil. All members of the Vigil will be expected to be able to run at least two laps around the perimeter of the city. The Vigil will be made to climb the mountains as well as do gymnastic exercises. Recruits will be made to use waster’s; Wooden practice swords that are twice the weight of normal standard weaponry. They will train against dummies until they are ready to fight against sparring partners using wooden shields and swords of the same weight as their real counterparts. These tactics are to be instilled into every individual Vigil.

    Arms and Armor Training

    Spoiler

Each member of The Vigil will learn the advantages and disadvantages of each weapon in their arsenal, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the types of armor they will wear in battle. The Vigil will learn the advantages and disadvantages of ranged weaponry. They will learn how to effectively reload crossbows and fire in minimal time as ordered. These tactics are to be instilled into every individual Vigil.

    Boat Training

    Spoiler

All Vigil must know how to man a boat. They must be able to steady the aim of their bows and crossbows on top of the harsh waves. They must grow accustomed to the sea so that they do not falter with sickness from frantic waves. They must know how to navigate the waters, and steer their course in formation with their fleet. These tactics are to be instilled into every individual Vigil.

    Vigil punishment system

    Tier one

    Spoiler

Tier one offences are the lowest types of unorthodox activity. Antagonising people within the city, intoxication while on duty, neglecting to don the uniform while on duty. Punishments for tier one offences include the following: The lawbreaker must apologize to all citizens, as well as all Vigil, to let them know humiliation.

    Tier two

    Spoiler

Tier two offences are more severe than tier one offences, thus will result in more severe punishments. Tier two offences consist of dishonoring the law that you are sworn to uphold, insubordination or the act of disobeying the command of higher ranked members.

Punishments entail: Demotion, or forced resource gathering (Material, amount, and deadline depending on several factors).

    Tier three

    Spoiler

Tier three offences are the worst of offences within the order and they will be met with swift punishment. Tier three offences include, murder of another Vigil member, murder of a citizen, treason and desertion during wartime without leave. Punishments include: Eviction from the Vigil and possible death penalty or immediate banishment. (Cumulative Tier Three is a demotion to recruit; This means if two tier two offences are committed, you will be demoted to a recruits rank immediately).

If repeated offences are committed they stack resulting in two offences of tier one offences translating into one tier two offence, alternatively two tier two offences result into one tier three offence.

    Vigil rewards system

    Spoiler

Just following orders will not guarantee rewards. Going above and beyond will ensure a favorable image in The Vigil. Doing more than what is required will result in various rewards. For example: Recruiting a promising member will be met with a reward of  100 mina. Meeting for training and rallies frequently will result in better chances of receiving a promotion. Reporting unorthodox behavior will be rewarded with extreme favorability of a promotion and possible payment. Taking proper care of your equipment will result in an upgrade, sharper swords and stronger armor.

    Vigil Code

    Spoiler

    1. A Vigil must remain loyal, without question, to the Order and its ways.

    2. A Vigil must not take the life of another member. Murder is for lesser beasts such as wolves and bears.

    3. A Vigil may not steal from their fellow brethren, for to do so is unbecoming of both an elf, and of any descendant.

    4. A Vigil must remain stalwart in their preservation of the ways of elfkind, not perverting their ways with the influence of the other races. Interbreeding is to be avoided, for it dulls our long-lived blood.

    Bloodline Origins

    Spoiler

The Glaeus bloodline starts with a more reclusive lineage… The Vul’athri.

The Vul’athri family long lived isolated from the rest of the High Elven folk. In their eyes, the rest of the Mali’aheral were of doubtful purity and they would not deign to live with them.Vellulaei’thill Vul’athri is the first of his family to rejoin High Elven society.

There are few recordings of their history that are still possessed. One of the most important is the tale of Trelingor Vul’athri, son of Fralan and Trolli Vul’athri.

Whilst he did marry, he had no other interest but the pursuit of purity. As he grew older he became paranoid and began to doubt the purity of those around him. In his final years, when he led the noble family, he liquidated all remaining members but his son. He eliminated his wife, her parents and his brother. Unfortunately his parents were already deceased.

He raised Galamil Vul’athri and Vellulaei Vul’athri  properly and taught them the true values of the Mali’aheral.

Vellulaei Vul’athri soon met Praiten Glaeus, a man of very few words and they conversed making the capstone of the Glaeus family, Serai Glaeus. The Glaeus bloodline was one that prefered seclusion for many years, just as the Vul’athri did. Serai grew disdainful of her fellow high elven compatriots, finding them to be far from the path of purity. Although, she eventually met an elven man named Dreagor who took on her family bloodline name. Together, they got married and had Imin Glaeus and Gildor Glaeus, two of the most patriotic high elves from the Silver State of Haelun’or. The oldest, Imin Glaeus was a musician before he was called into the Vigil… a wanderer of sorts. He would reluctantly join the this new high elven order to protect the values of elven culture and eventually would become the head of this order. Although, his time in the vigil turned him bitter and resentful of impurity. Ironically, his resent would eventually result in his demise. One day, the Vigil captured a high elven prisoner who carried a wood elven baby. Imin couldn’t stand the fact of her impurity and took it upon himself to end the baby’s life with a stab. Little did he know this baby belonged to a Dreadlandic prince and knowing he was to be slaughtered before many of his friends he sacrificed himself to be executed.

His brother Gildor is another story. He joined alongside his brother and eventually would rise to be an officer. However he was put on a Celein outpost, making him grow resentful of other Vigil soldiers due to the harsh forest heats and wilderness attacks. Nonetheless this experience made him a hardened combatant and survivalist, as he soon after took the rank his brother once had; along with joining the council, becoming the builder of Haelun’or. The other family members… well that is a tale for another time…

For Glaeus blood runs deep and strong...

    Bloodline Physical Traits & Personalities

    Spoiler

The Glaeus bloodline runs deep and strong back to the first high elves in existence.

The Glaeus bloodline falls into the trend of having golden hair and blue eyes...while very rarely some possessing white hair, and a thicker physique just as The Vul’athri have before them for many generations. While many of the Glaeus bloodline can keep a keen tempered head and only attacking with precise power at perfect times when they see fit like a snake; Some are impatient and do not like to waste their time with whatever they seem unfit to use their time. Their height usually rounds out at about 6'0-6'3 for females, and 6'3-6'6 for males.

Physically, they are strong boned and thicker than most high elven ‘thill families due to the Vul’athri’s selective breeding within their families; Only the purest and strongest survived. So pure in fact, the main bloodline it is not unheard of having golden eyes, which they attribute to the perfect symbol of their purity and connection to the golden pools.

    3d.png

    Golden eyes of a Glaeus.

Those who have these eye colors are usually attributed to be great leaders and these Glaeus’ are held with high regard and respect. A Glaeus must always be born with golden or white hair, This is shown as a sign of utmost purity within the family and strength as a whole.

Personality-wise, the Glaeus bloodline seems to fall into two categories. One is quiet but has potential for furiosity, and the other is ill-tempered and tends to complain.  They wear loose (sometimes ornate) wilderness esque clothing to show their pride of their mastery of the elements and exercise their skill outside the walls of the city of Haelun’or. They tend to not trust those around them and always keep a watchful eye for any dissidence or betrayal. No matter how small they will always see this as a personal attack on them or their family.

They are (in their minds) the purest high elven family through selective breeding there is.

    Bloodline Traditions

    Spoiler

This section is dedicated to the traditions that the Glaeus family have made from their own experiences and those passed on from the Vul’athri bloodline. This includes their uses of poison.  Many see this as odd but they admire how the snake, so small, can kill those much bigger with their venom. Those who escape the wrath of a Glaeus must always keep an antidote. Another tradition, inherited from the Vul’athri family, is the act of liquidating family members. Selective breeding has a nasty side and those unfit or impure in the bloodline may wake up one day in a bat of acid.

    Bloodline Connection to Vul’athri

    Spoiler

This section is to remedy the connection between Vellulaei Vul’athri and Praiten Glaeus for it is caste in mystery. Old books state they were once together for a time or maybe until they both died. Yet other sources say their relationship was one of unbalance. Whatever it may be, this is where the Glaeus family started under their reunification with the Silver State and not in seclusion any longer.

    Bloodline Color Scheme

    Spoiler

This section showcases the color schemes the Glaeus bloodline exercise. These colors are red, gold, black, green, brown and white. Red symbolizes their pride in their pure blood running through their veins. Gold demonstrates their love of their connection to the golden pools. Black shows their wisdom of many things, from high elven culture to basic survival techniques exercised within the bloodline. Green shows a love for nature and the arcane. Brown portrays their love of  their mastery over wilderness. White expresses their purity.

  12. Imin Glaeus, relaxes into a birch wicker chair as he reads this intricately made flyer lofting his brow slightly as his interest is piqued many times over "It is odd that we have a golden rule not to call any elf KING, yet we call Tristin Tresury one." He'd remark to himself, slouching further into his chair nodding "The age of false titles and false dominance is over it seems." He says chuckling to himself  "May the elves move ever forward." Would lay the flyer on his quartz and stone made table, while sipping lemon aid on the warm high elven beaches of Haelun'or "Can't wait to see the look on Damai's face when he catches wind of this..." Smirks looking towards the sun

  13. Thinking too much yet, feeling too little...

EDIT: This is a game where we all come to waste our time away from the real world. I do not see why when the community is unanimous in multiple things like removing the 1.9 combat timers that lag PVP where it is unbearable or many things within Nexus like skill grinding(Though I do know you are changing to a custom plugin different from Nexus so I brush over it). We are not machines and we do not want to be used just for our money. I realize these changes cannot happen overnight but come on when there is a 'temp' server to test things out and the community tells you that there are bugs then why would you release it ignoring the player base. Honestly you deserve this overall explosion from the community because treating everyone like children when most of us are near or adults is ridiculous. Talking to the community you pretend to care about so much with such a robotic tone with no sympathy is easily seen. Anyways I was very loose here in my points so bare with me and thank you for reading.
