What is roleplaying?: roleplaying is take the role of someone else and living an alternate life and staying in character so basically acting What is metagaming?: knowing something you realistically wouldnt know like using OOC to get information then your character automatically knowing it What is powergaming?: powergaming is being doing something without the other person reacting like killing them without letting them parry or counter attack In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Before he settled into a simpler life, he was a bandit. Typically only robbing travelers on side roads, but got a pretty penny for it. One day he decided to become something more. He joined the flays, and brought terror to many people. One day on one of their raids, it backfired. It was a trap and my father and a couple of other men were captured. They were thrown in prison and were on deaths row. Luckily, some friends of his that he made came back to rescue him, and escaped successfully. He decided his criminal days were over so he decided to leave with others who decided this job is becoming too much. Those men are who became crew members on his ship. He had a very loyal crew and he treated them as family. He’d deliver goods from city to city when he could. Sometimes Hed sail for fun or to visit new cities. One night he sailed to a new town and stayed at the local Inn. He met a very lovely lady who worked at the Inn, and they kept talking all night but then my father decided to go to sleep. He bought a room for the night and the women should him to his room, but my father, who was very charming, asked the lady to come in so she did and (FTB). 1 year later, I was born. I was born during The battle of snow, Which my father served in, because he was in the Militia. He had lost his left hand in a sword fight but after the war continued his sailing and also saved. When he came home a month later he met me. Ever since I was the age of 13 I worked with my Father on his Ship delivering goods. I would sometimes play music for the crew to keep their morals up but my father was a fair captain, and they had a fair pay, and that usually kept them happy. One day, I was very sick, so I stayed home and my mother took care of me. My father was going back to his home town, to visit friends, and to see if anything needed to be delivered there. It had been a whole week and I had no word of where my father had gone. Rumors were going around that there must’ve been a storm, but my father was a master sailor, he could survive any storm. Others were saying they couldve been attacked by The Flays when the docked to get revenge from my father leaving. Some are even saying that before his return, when the crew went on the ship they werent alone, and the whole crew was killed and eaten by Knox the crazy cannibal. But there is no way of knowing. For another 8 years I worked with my mother at the Inn. Less and less people came to the Inn which was strange because we usually have a pretty steady amount of people. We eventually became bankrupt and we were forced to sell the Inn. We purchased a home in a small village, and I would play music for everyone and for visitors at the tavern. A year later my mother passed away. I decided to travel to many cities and play as a bard.
