Growing up in Carnatia as a servant under the house of Kovachev, Katarina was a nice northern girl with a passion for baking. She was born into a simple life as a cleaning woman, but once they found her in the kitchen as a young girl-- covered in flour from head to toe-- they figured she would be more useful in the kitchen than in the hallways. Thus, Katarina was moved into the kitchen and learned from a stern teacher named Emmiline the fine arts of cooking, while specializing in baking. During this time, Emmiline insisted that Katarina find herself a nice young man to settle down with, and thus Katarina began to socialize more in her limited free-time, spending her limited funds on a night out for herself. On her way back to the keep, Katarina ran into, quite literally, Tuvya Beral, who was serving in the Gold Corps. After meeting Tuvya Beral, the two hit it off and had a quick courtship, resulting in Katarina leaving the Kobachev household-- Emmiline looking on like a proud mother. Following Tuvya across the lands, Katarina and Tuvya ended up in the city of St. Karlsburg, in the Haense Duchy. Up to date, the family is healing after the war with the Dreadlands, and are enjoying the peaceful times in the city of Saint Karlsburg. How I found Lord of the Craft: A few friends of mine are also applying Roleplaying: Roleplaying is, essentially, making a character of your own customization and putting them into a world where they have their fair share of triumphs, hardships, etc. Metagaming: Metagaming is using OOC (out of character) information in roleplay. For example, if I had told a friend in OOC that we should attack a town, the town leaders would not be able to take that information and prepare. Powergaming: Powergaming is essentially making your character 'overpowered'. If your character cannot be killed, cannot be hit, and always wins they are considered powergamers. Character's Name: Jastra Gender: Female Race: a half-breed of a wood elf and high elf (I am aware that she will be looked down upon) Character's Age: 19 Biography: Jastra's story starts with her family. Her parents knew that their marriage would be looked down upon by both the wood elves and high elves, so they kept it a secret. However, when Jastra's mother, Sheedra, became pregnant with her daughter they could hide it no longer. They first tried her father's wood elven family, hoping they would be more accepted. When her father, Vandra, was disowned, they tried the high elves. Sheedra and Vandra found no greater luck there as she had been disowned by her no-tolerance parents as well. Deciding that they would not raise their Halfling in the city, they headed east and found a small, abandoned cottage and began fixing it up, most of the work done just before Jastra was born. Now, Jastra's story can begin. She grew up in the small cottage in the woods with a leaky roof that never seemed to be fixed. Her parents had decided early on that she would not be told about what had happened with her grandparents and the dislike of the halflings. Instead, Jastra grew up believing that her parents were accepted and her grandparents had died in a tragic incident. Eventually, around the age of sixteen, Jastra became more and more adventurous. Many days were spent traveling to a small pond and painting the small waterfall and the wildlife that lived there. Jastra then, getting bored traveled on longer in different directions and, one day, stumbled upon a high elf traveler. The traveler, an older elf named Faraine, took one look at her features and shoved past the teen, muttering under her breath. Three years later, Jastra had gotten bored of the cottage and, despite her parents' warnings, decided to travel, visiting cities and small towns along her way, despite knowing she would not be accepted. Personality Traits: Sassy to those that mock her, quick-witted, and has a love for art Ambitions: She would like to travel to the High Elf and Wood Elf capitals, hoping to find her parent's childhood homes. Strengths/Talents: Is good with a bow and hunting knife and is exceptionally talented at painting and sketching. Good sense of direction Weaknesses/Inabilities: Her temper can get out of hand sometimes, especially regarding her parents. This tends to lead to more fights than she needs.
