By googling "best minecraft rp servers" Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: When someone creates a fictional character, and they then play as that character, acting out their life story through interactions with other players' roleplay characters. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when one uses OOC information to influence their IC actions, even though their character could not reasonably know that information. An example would be seeing someone's character's name in the chat, and then calling that person by that name. If your character had not previously known that character, then obviously your character could not know the other's name. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is when someone makes their character unreasonably powerful, doing things like always winning fights, always landing punches, and anything else that gives them an unfair advantage. An example would be: Jimmy throws punch at Fred Fred dodges punch and stabs Jimmy, Jimmy dies. Obviously it's unfair and unrealistic for someone to be easily able to do this. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Tyrion Quill Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 26 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Tyrion was born to Harold Quill, a writer, and a mother that Tyrion never knew as she left when he was but three. Tyrion was born in a small village in Salvus. At a young age, Tyrion grew to love many things, like history, reading, writing, sword-fighting, and all manners of science and math. However, one of his greatest loves was politics. He became the assistant to the local scribe when he was 14, and loved to watch the local meetings, learning about leadership, politics, and most of all, how doomed he thought the world was. He tried to stay positive, but he couldn't help but see all the crime, poverty, and death in the world. He was, and still is, not a completely cynical man. He started forming a plan to make the world better, however, he thought he could only do this through extremes. If someone was not regularly giving to local beggars, he would rob that person and distribute their belongings to the beggars. If he saw a man committing any crime, he would try to attack them, or he would plot another way to get "revenge". He would continue to maintain his normal hobbies however, filling up journals with novel ideas, reading history books, and practicing sword-fighting. However, he would also fill up journals with ideas on how to "better the world", read about different political tactics, and also regularly his attempts at stopping crime, sometimes getting seriously injured. This all came to a head when he would murder the scribe at age 17 for slapping a beggar away, and when the locals found out, he ran away. So the scribe's most loyal companions killed Tyrion's father, which led to Tyrion deciding the entire town was corrupt, making him leave for good. He has spent the past few years traveling the globe, writing novels and studying history, attempting to hide his dark past. Personality Traits: Friendly, outspoken, uses sophisticated words, calculating, extreme distaste for crime, questionable thoughts on how to save the world. Ambitions: To be a revered political leader, to be a famous author, to "save" the world Strengths/Talents: Extremely intelligent, good tactician, politics, adept swordsman, writing, reading, reaction speed Weaknesses/Inabilities: Archery, hand to hand combat, violent reaction to crime, physical jobs (logging, farming, etc.), running Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): He is about 6'3, with medium length brown hair (think Anakin in Revenge of the Sith), and some stubble. He weighs about 155, with it being a balance of fat and muscle, has a flat stomach, but his arms aren't very defined. He has long, slender fingers, and big feet. He usually wears a blue tunic and brown pants, black leather boots and black leather gloves. He also wears either a thin black cape, or if it's cold a heavier, fur one.
