What is roleplaying?:Roleplaying is living out the life of a character and assuming the role they would. What is metagaming?:Metagaming is when you act upon knowledge gained from sources outside of the game world. What is powergaming?:An example of powergaming: Two children are playing a game outside. One child is playing a cop, and the other child is playing the robber. The two children get into a fight, and the cop child grabs the robber child and handcuffs him, and says the game is over without letting the robber child have a chance to react. Character’s name: Vince Alder Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 24 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Vince Alder is the son of Varg and Val whose names mean wolf and whale, and are the father and mother respectively. Vince Alder was born unto the Jaegar clan, which is located near the Province of Laureh'lin in the Isles of Vailor. The entire clan was formed around the hunt. What is the hunt you ask? Well, it's exactly what the name implies, it's a hunt. The members of the clan based all of their principles and rules around the sport itself. They took it to the extremes even to where the names of their children were not given to them... Their names were earned through their first kill. The first thing they killed would end up deciding their name. Well for Vince, his first kill was a shark with an iron axe, and to the entire clan this was astonishing. Even though he was 19 at the time, no one had ever killed a shark up until this point. Earning him the name Haj. Even though the Clan seems brutish or primitive, they were actually quite civilized. The Jaegar Clan was famous for its poetry and art. Haj (also known as Vince), was well known for his axe skill, be it on a tree, or in combat.Throughout the years, the Jaeger Clan was getting threatened by a rival Orc clan who grew more bold by the day. A couple years later, the Orc Clan made their move. Two of the Jaegar Clan Elders were surrounded by an entire army of orcs easily outnumbering them 10:2. They burned our village, pillaged our farms, and slaughtered everyone in their path. Haj, Uxi, Fylkir, Bjorn (more Jaegar Clan Elders), and a few of the others escaped through the woods only to be confronted with more orcs. We fought valiantly, slaying at least 50 orcs, but alas we were greatly outnumbered. Then when I thought things couldn't possibly get any worse Fylkir throws down his weapon and walks toward the chief of the orcs, and they start laughing. We questioned them asking them, "What is the meaning of this?!" Then Fylkir beheads Uxi, right in front of Bjorn and Haj. When they saw this they looked to Fylkir and simply muttered, "Why?" Fylkir replied, "Because I can." Bjorn, (Fylkir's son), lost in a trance couldn't think straight, still in shock of what had just happened. His father then looks to Bjorn and knocks him and Haj out and throws them into the sea. They awoke on the shores not far from the village, and ran back as fast as they could only to find that nothing was left. There was nothing but ash and blood. In their rage Bjorn and Haj let out bloodcurdling roars, vowing to avenge their clan. The other survivors vowed as well to avenge the clan. Now they seek money and power to rebuild and avenge their once great clan. The survivors took up new names and put their hunting skills to use and started a store where they sell weapons, tools, food, furs, as well as offer mercenary work. One day they will have enough power to avenge their clan. (My story is also part of Jagslayer's story, as we are from the same clan.)
