What magic(s) do you desire to teach?: Air Evocation.

Summarize the Lore of this Magic:

Air evocation is one of the many evocations that can be used via connecting and conjuring something from the void into reality however what is summoned from the void is technically fake in the sense that if disconnected to the void it will return back into the void, it will also return from whence it came if the mage summoning it decides to stop.

Air evocation is one of the most versatile of the current evocations and some may say one of the easiest to learn, this would be because of the rather calm and somewhat predictable nature, though its speed  is one of its downfall as to do much with it, it should go at a high speed. This would make it slightly easier to cast compared to the wild, high speed nature of elements such as fire and electricity. With it being slightly easier to cast would add a slight sense of protection as you could cast things to protect or harm others quicker then say electrical evocation would.

In the first stages of casting air evocation it would take up a large amount of mana to even cast a simple breath of calm wind. One of the upsides of air evocation would be it is rather calm and would not hurt you badly if you miss-cast or overcharge.

The air summoned will not be effected by the environment, an example being it would be brushed away by the natural wind. To contradict this the air summoned would not have an effect on the natural wind, for example, it would not be able to calm a natural storm.

Air evocation cannot directly lift things up and would not be able to knock down a normal size and weight person until tier 3.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student. (Do note, we will be contacting aspiring teachers for a quick interview, to try to better gauge your knowledge and understanding):

“Come come,” Cassandra’s voice would echo across the mountainside as him and his student would climb to the top.

“Why are we here…?” the student would ask with a large tone of confinement in his voice. No reply would follow for a moment,

As Cassandara arrives near the top of the mountain he would go to sit on the grass that would be dancing in the wind. The student would slowly follow, still not knowing why they are there.

“Well? Why are we here…?” the student would repeat observing his teacher with interest and confusion

“Close your eyes” he would say quietly, the wind blowing his hair around “Now tell me, what is it you hear?” his tone would sound calm and peaceful.

“N-Nothing?” the student would moan with his eyes closed waiting for a response.

Cassandara would sigh with pity

“You are simply not listening hard enough”

After a while of concentrating the student would spirt out

“I hear a gust of wind, roaring around my head… I can hear leaves dancing around…”

The teacher would smile clasping his hands

“There you go... How can you manipulate wind, without evocation” the teachers tone would be quiet and calm…

After a few moments the student would say

“Moving, every source of movement creates wind… Right?

The teacher would not to the student

“Good… So you know how to connect to the void, right? Tell me, how do you do so?”

The student would lean back slightly recalling into his memory

“Focus and concentration!” his tone would sound eager.

“Correct… Now, using what you have learned today and every other lesson, Have a go, create your own wind…”

The students expression would quickly turn fear

“Go on…” The teacher would repeat noting the students reaction.

The student nods, closing his eyes taking deep breaths, after a while many beads of sweat would form on the students face, his breathing would slow down yet still be taking large breaths. Soon, a weak gust of wind would abrupt to Cassandra’s face. The wind would quickly dissipate as the students eyes open, taking many short breaths. The sweat falling down his face.

“Good…” the teacher would reply with a rather proud tone “Now… Keep practicing… Practice makes perfect!” he would stand after saying such.

The student would nod trying to stand, not doing very well due to having a lack of energy. Cassandara would go to help up the student

“Next lesson, we will practice more and I will teach you about some more red lines!”

After being told about the plan, the student would smile, the sweat blowing off his face from the wind of the mountain.

“Now… Let us go back…” he would say going to the path down the mountain, taking the weak student with him “You must need to rest ‘ey?”.
At that the student would, with help from his teacher, go down the path to the bottom of the mountain, still breathing quickly.

Who/how did you learn magic/s?: Self taught. I have read many books from the library of dragur and have have tutorials by mages, one of which gave me a run down and full on explained how it works, I also have taken notes by said mages so I can have a wider range of knowledge on this subject

Offer an explanation of said magic/s you learned:

Air evocation or aeromancy, similar to all types and forms of magic, is hard to learn, use and understand.  It takes a large amount of energy to summon or take air from the Void and it’ll need a while of time to master this magic enough to direct a large force of wind powerful enough to your enemy to knock them back or do much for that matter.  So if you want to become quite skilled and good with the art of evoking air, you must have be prepared to take a while to learn it.  Someone cannot just simply take air from the Void and use it, they must have an understanding of it first at least some basic knowledge of the void, the area it is based it (for example air for this matter). Many people who are intrigued in this type magic move to areas with a lot of wind, usually mountains or perhaps someone could constantly visit a field to feel, hear and get a wider understanding of the wind.  Somebody could get a better understand of the wind by watching a leaf twirl around in the flow of the wind.  Air that is summoned by a mage (from the void) isn’t affected by the environment around it, this is because in the void it was ‘made’ to do what it does for example it was made to push a foe, their fore it will. The gust of wind summoned from the void will not suffer from things such as air pressure, temperature, and wind direction.  The mage can also not be able to change their surround environment, they can’t change the direction of the natural wind nor can they calm a storm. This is because the magic they before makes new wind instead of alter the already set wind.

In order for a mage to evoke from the Void, they need to have an understanding of how mana is used when taking/drawing/summoning something out of the Void into reality.  They may also need a wide range of understanding of the element they are summoning and controlling. For example to summon wind, they need to know and understand how the wind dose what it does.  Someone does not simply imagine their element in the Void and bring it out to our natural world with little to no ease, the whole process will be very tiring for somebody who is not used to it and has never done this sort of process before.  On a mages first try they could easily pass out while attempting to create the most small and useless of winds.  Of course, when they are better at performing the magic and have a lot more experience it would be a lot easier (like most things ‘practise makes perfect’)  to connect to the Void and perform your element, once you’re strong enough you could evoke or make a stronger gust a lot easier.

When role-playing this magic, you need to show signs of fatigue when evoking.  The weaker you are, the more exhausted you’ll get so you need to roleplay that you are tired and fatigued.  You can only control your element (air in this case) that you created from the Void. You can do nothing with the wind already in nature or even try to change it. 

Your line of sight is needed for summoning as well (bad luck if you are blind)…

Your gusts are powerful enough to knock someone down when you reach tier three.

If you are below then they won’t.

No objects cannot be lifted with your evocation.

 The art is basically creating / evoking / summoning air and pushing, or pulling.

Depended on how far the man is away, I would either quickly take him into a trial for questioning and return the items stolen. If he is far away I will help the old lady out, see if she is okay, I will the try my best to go around the town and find the man, to put him on trial, after nursing and helping the lady if need be

You are on duty at the gate. Everything is relatively peaceful until a man comes up to your post. You recognize the man as someone who is banished from the town due to his drunken and violent behavior.  He is demanding access into the town. In an attempt to persuade you, he attempts to bribe you with two hundred minas. If you refuse his offer, he will then offer you two thousand minas. What do you do?
