Her father had always craved a son, so he had raised her like one; she dressed like one, and behaved like one, meaning other people teased and frowned upon her, for not being ladylike. Throughout her childhood, she was often neglected as her father gradually became a heavy drinker after the abandonment of his wife. Due to having no friends, she trained hard, and grew an interest in combat- be it hand to hand, swordsmanship, or archery, for that's what she believed she needed to excel in life. When she came of age, her father, fearing he would fall to the Iblees curse, forced her into an arranged marriage with a wealthy Heartlander, in order to gain higher connections and minas. Outraged at what she assumed was a betrayal on her father's part, Lynn fled from her home, heading towards Cloud Temple in order to seek refuge with the monks.
