Did you ever wonder what happened to the professions and skills? Well they are dead. Help me cast a reviving spell and bring lotc back! In this topic i would like everyone who shares the same opinion with me to add a +1 in the comments while they state why they agree. To begin with Nexus was grinding yes , but it gave meaning to many aspects of the server. Trade is now dead so is trading rp. Remember the good old trading companies? Custom foods and recipes. I remember a guy rping as a great chef. With his mechanic and roleplay skill he made awesome food and items with rich description and mechanic meaning. Enchanters miners and alchemists. Is it wasting time gathering resourses? Going in the forest or in the tall mountains to gather lore rich plants to make a nice potion? Or to dig in the mines trying to make ur luck? A farmer is now meaningless so is the land.The lord in the castle wont give his land to the peasant to farm.
Now lotc is a place with 90% roleplay only. No balance. Should we emote breathing too? Or why waste money to keep a server on when u could do that kind of rp in the forums? You cant roleplay everything as you cant mechanic everything. Why is mechanic bad and rp good? I believe that both matter. A good ballance between them would make the server great again. For example whats the point of beeing a golem in a warclaim when you are as fast and weak as others? Or an Olog?Why do i have to ask for signs from other vips in hope of selling some potions?Isnt gathering much more fun than begging? Focusing entirely rply or entirely mechanicly is wrong. A balance is the key. Either bring back nexus and skills or modify them to ensure balance !!!

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature: Necromancers create Morguuls (ghouls) , from the dead bodies of the descendants by bringing them back to life. They are souless bodies that rot and decay.In order for them to exist they need to consume lifeforce . Failure to do so will drive them mad.A Morguul isnt immune to pain but it feels less than the living.They have a greater threshhold of endurance.Gold harms them greatly and causes immerse pain , but holy magic is the main bane of the morguul. Ghouls cant use heavy armor or equipment due to their bobies state nor they can wield magic due to the lack of a soul.A common morguul equipment would be a chainmail armor and light weapons.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:Averrit Betrant was a merchant in Alexandria of Courland. He died one night after leaving the tavern to head home. The guards found his body in the morning.They saw multiple stabs on his torso.None knows who did it , some say it was a robbery. Now averrit is a ghost (Haunt). So what is a ghost?
A ghost is a copy of a dead soul that has not passed on to the spiritual world. Ghosts have two stages, the first stage (Haunt) in which the ghost does not really recognize that they are dead. When they find evidence that they have died, they pass on to the second stage. From there, they will eventually progress to be a Revenant , or a Poltergeist. This is generally a result of how they take their death, whether they accept it or reject it.
Revenants are calm and peacefull and have a blue color.The know that they are dead and begin to develop ghostly powers, such as being able to turn visible and invisible at will, change their appearance, put out torches, make minor changes to the physical world, and make screaming sounds.Poltergeist are evil and ill-intentioned and have a red color and black eyes. Poltergeists are results of a ghost with anger, disbelief of his death. Poltergeists can force their will onto physical objects. They will destroy things, scratch people, and make terrifying noises.
The abilities of ghosts are: phase in and out of visibility, learn to float than walk, are mostly intangible ( cannot pass through walls, locked doors, etc.), can perform minor interaction with the world like opening doors or knocking things over, and change appearances. Ghosts have many weaknesses such as aurum, holy magic, fi magic, shamanism, exorcisms and transfiguration.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature: This Golem was made from Stone by Sharr Irongut and Yeulf Irongut with the intention of giving it as a present to Grand King Bastion of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Golems are created though the shaping of stone with the carving of runes on the body. A thanic core is crafted and placed inside the body. This core provides power to the whole golem. The Golems height is 8 ft (2 and a half meters) . It is possible for golems to go red, or crazy, if broken or put under extreme duress.
The Creation of a Golem is rather simple, a Golemancer begins with carving the bodys shape out of stone and puts the necessary runes in the limbs, then he begins the construction of the Golem Core and eventually, once complete, places it in the Golems chest.
To destroy a Golem is quite difficult as they are made of Stone, but they can be damaged easily when hit by Hammers and pickaxes. If a person manages to damage the Core of the Golem it will cause the Golem to shut down and the body will become useless.Advantages:
- Golems are made of Stone and other hard materials making them durable.
- Golems have high strenth.
- Golems are difficult to fight against cause of their vitality and brute force.
Disadvantages:- Bulky.
- Slow.
- Lack Intelligence.
- Fragile core.
- Pickaxes can deal quite some damage against them.
- Acts only on Imperas orders

Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):Georg of Oren a young man with a great thirst for knowledge.He seeks the truth about this world and its inhabitats.He likes not only to write books of fictions or non-fictions but also to travel for him to be able to record and uncover the truth himself.He doesnt fear to travel to the worst places to the most dangerous lands just to uncover the truth .From a young age his parents in Oren were telling him that he will be a very good writer.That his books will fill the libraries.Thats a dream he always had ,to be a famous writer.His friends were also very intrested about his opinions and his ideas.When they all together sat in front of the fire to tell some tales.Georg was the one that always made a very good impresion.His stories some times based on books or from his own fantasy were extraordinary.Thats also how his name was formed .The children of his age were calling him Georg of Oren.Dont ask me how this happened even Geord cant remember the origins of his name( of Oren i mean).He started then reading famous books for him to understand the true nature of the writer.Books like ''The ancient history'' writen by the wandering wizard,''The blood age'' by Valen Grandaxe and ''The war of the undead'' by lothiriels.Scary was the last one for a little kid to read but for him was his whole life.Learning about all the kings of oren like Olivier de savoie and Guy de bar was not an easy task but he managed.He learned also about the evil men that existed like the Boogie man and the way he liked his puppets making him obsessed with them turning himself to one.Little Georg had a saying for the boogie man''Lack of friends is making people mad''.That little Georg was so funny and patient.Only a patient man would read so much.But nobody is great, you see Georg had a weakness he always wanted his food for himself he was always unable to give his food to others or to share his drink with others.Thats his only weakness .Now big enough in age he will try to be a succesfull writer.Will he make his dream true?Time will tell.For now he must learn many more things.Experience this world from the eyes of a young man and fight alone to be that he always wanted without the protection and the guidance of his familly.

Dark_elf01 do you know how many people are doing this now?.With nothing else to do the server will end up like a hogwarts harry potter school rp server.Seriously i ve seen 100 mages and one blacksmith rping.I have seen 0 farmers and 100 clerics.0 chefs , woodcuters , miners and 100000 druids.Am i wrong?Some cities have communal farms for everyone.Which doesnt make sence rply. Where are the nice farming houses on the countryside?The mines owned by companies or nations?
Maybe lotc is not suited for you.Maybe you like centered roleplay like school , house or city roleplay. Lotc has nations , communities and groups.All giving life to the land .By your suggestion warclaims shouldnt be even a thing.Or even we should all live peacefully with no war.But what happens to history then?Did a powerfull mage cast a friendship spell upon all?Oh we friends noe , undead , clerics , humans , orcs and elves alike. Or maybe we should warclaim with rp.Waiting for 200 or more players to emote.Not everything can be rped.But what is roleplay?Playing a character , a role. What demands the balance between the rp and mechanic , is the recipe of lotc going for an alive world.Not a staged centered rp server.
