"Make peace with us! Those alliance mutts say as they pillage and raid the country side of all lands, carrying off women and children if they aren't killed outright. Truly they must surely be seeking peace with such deplorable actions. The Veletzian alliance will not get the control they so desperately want, the world wont yield to these monsters." said Belie the Butler to the other servantry as he replaces candles and old bouquets around the Palace in Vallagne

"Wubdezkha?" A Goblin would say as they scratched their head profusely in confusion "Yub, Rex has asked to have peace many times. Horde simply wants their sands back from when your rexes decided to invade our lands." The goblin would say pausing for a moment. "Maybe latz should ask latz own rex why they haven't tried discussing peace back? Our very race has been threatened since the beginning of this war and both sides have seen losses but it is only when the outnumbered horde starts winning that latz wants to speak of the horrors of war." The goblin would finish, clearly having more to say but turning to welcome the new influx of Goblins to the city.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

The Musin are a mouse like race formed originally from the runts of the Ratiki. Due to their smaller stature and their overall weaker strength compared to the Ratiki they would find themselves enslaved in their own homeland. This would continue for many years until the hero "Musin the Brave" would attempt to lead hundreds of slaves to freedom from their Ratiki masters, ultimately leading to his demise though giving the chance for a few slaves to escape who would go on to call themselves "The Musin" in his honor. The escaped Musin would then spend a year constructing a crude boat, sailing across the ocean and eventually slipping through a portal to the continent of Almaris.

After settling in the Musin would meet "The Giant", a sorcerer of another race very different to the Musin, and much taller. The Giant would go on to teach the newcomers to the continent, instructing them in the ways of proper etiquette, hygiene, literacy and more. He over the years would become a cherished friend to the Musin, his glorified stories leading to a fantastical misunderstanding of the world though inspiring the spirit of adventure into the small mousefolk. In the giants final moments he would share his remaining strength with the Musin, altering their form slightly and increasing their lifespans in hopes that they could stand against the Ratiki should they return.

The Musin have a lesser soul, and thus cannot learn most magics.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

The Musin are a small race that closely resemble an upright mouse. They are covered in a thin layer of fur that can come in various shades of tan, brown, black, and white that can come in various patterns typical of your common house or fancy mouse variety. Musin eyes are typically black though roughly 1/10 have been shown to have redder eyes, their ancestral history of living underground has led to their vision being impaired in bright settings though unhindered at night. They are small in stature typically falling between 1'8-2'6 with a prehensile tail around the same length. This height and their general frailness cause them to be nearly worthless in any real fight strength wise relying solely on their dexterity to avoid attacks sent their way as even a dagger would likely be their end.

Personality wise the Musin are a very cleanly race filled with curiosity and an insatiable need to scavenge. Their cleanliness rivals on compulsive as the Musin find great joy in the activity when it comes to their hygiene although its seemingly a coinflip whether or not that instinct extends to their home. Curious at heart Musin tend to find themselves wandering into the unknown and fiddling with things they know nothing about, eager to explore with little concern. Musin have an unignorable instinct to scavenge unused materials as to not let them go to waste and while they don't have malicious intent this can extend to theft should they believe that someone has too much of something or wouldn't notice it were missing. Through scavenging Musin create their tools, clothes, and just about anything else they're able to.

  3. Alaric would pull his boat further up the shore after finally reaching land on his journey west. Resting at the makeshift camp he had made he would turn to collect the bird in its cage that accompanied him. Reaching a finger to stroke the white feathered head of the bird as he wrote his second letter to his sister, soon removing the bird from its confine and sending it east towards the lands Arcas with the letter in tow. He’d watch as the small black dot of the bird slowly faded from sight, only then turning to walk into the thick brush for a source of food and water to keep him alive whilst waiting for the bird to return with a response from Edyth.
As the sun slowly set behind him he’d sit around his fire digging through his pack pulling out a fox pelt and a small music box. Winding the music box he’d slowly lay to rest for the night listening to the song that calmed him since he was a young boy, a deep sadness running through him as another note seemed to be missing from its old song.

  4. Lorien rolls out of his hammock onto a small bundle of hay after reading the paper slipped through the floorboards “Yes I believe now is a good time to show those who remember me that i am still alive” he’d say as he dug around for his axe to cut his way out of the room he boarded himself in.

  5. Alaric would close his eyes, the weight of the bags beneath them becoming ever present as he sat in his silence. The small music box beside his bed ticking quietly, it’s song breaking more and more as his family grew smaller. The song that once held him together as a young boy after his fathers death only reminded him of his solitude now. Alaric would reminisce on when he and Edyth were children playing throughout the town with their friends, making their secret bases and playing hide and seek. “I wonder, how different things would have ended up had father taken us on that fishing trip that day...” he’d say to himself. Lowering his head and opening his eyes he would notice the music had stopped.

  6. Alaric would narrow his eyes as he read “by the father, after reading this article I wish I were brain dead... willing myself to finish reading this piece proved harder a task then the 9 beat downs we delivered your forces...” he would say rubbing his forehead

“Holy **** that was terrible” he’d conclude as he drank to hopefully rid his mind of this cursed writing.

  7. Alaric would send a prayer to the father. Though they may have been of dissimilar religions, and ideal even he had heard of the respect this man had. “May this war end soon, too many good men die while the vile stay hidden behind them in their walls. May you find your peace, Isaak.”

((ooc)): cheers having the courage to pk, in war times dying in (good) rp and pking due to it really helps to build an interesting story.

  8. Alaric would dip his head, giving a brief word to the father. “May this coward of an Emperor admit his ineptitude soon so we may end this violence. His people need not die for his shortcomings.”

    —-

    To Duke Godric,

It is true, you have delivered Us a number of defeats. Bruised and bloody, We take Our wounds with vigor, each blow refreshening that indomitable spirit; that burning flame which drove Our predecessors to victory. The blood of the Empire is a singular red, and shall never deplete so as long as We live.

You will recall, perhaps familiarly, of the state in which John Frederick found his country. Ravaged and ransacked by years of aggression with a host of Urguanites at his gates, any lesser man would have cowed in to the submission you desire. But this is not the conduct of an Emperor! An Emperor does not abandon his faithful subjects. From the brink of devastation, John Frederick would conquer the world.

Our countrymen, renewed by the taste of spilt blood and sweat, enlist in defense of their beloved country. Both lines of ancient renown and lines of promising beginnings flock to the banners, ready to fill the ranks against your chaotic assault. Indeed, your forces have picked and pried at the titan; but it is Our faith and courage that shall wake him from his slumber.

We shall meet you again on the field of battle, again, and again, for Ours is one great spirit, and yours many disparate plots.

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Peter III Anthony, Emperor of the Holy Orenian Empire, King of Renatus, Salvus, and Seventis, Duke of Helena, Lorraine, and Roden, Baron of Sedan, Protector of the Heartlanders, Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera.

“Your ineptitude is unfathomable, you condemn your people to die.” Alaric would say upon hearing of the supposed Emperors response. “Though your ability to  still write despite having your skull crushed is commendable.”

Say what you will for the Empire, but when Morsgrad rallied to attack Haense, we rallied to its defense, and stood stalwart in front of our vassal, ready to die defending it.

“Odd how sallying out to defend your people’s and allies when wronged is acceptable, and heroic when you do it. Had your poor excuse of an ‘Emperor’ not intervened In Morsgrads business with Haense when they attacked Rubern unprovoked then all of this would have been settled rather peacefully.” Alaric would comment upon reading the missive.

“Imagine bending over when one of your own are slaughtered, perhaps this is why nobody bats an eye when killing a haenseman for they know their own countrymen will do nothing about it” Alaric would say returning to his duties.

  13. Alaric would raise a mug for his new friend who had scaled the mountain with him before the rest had roped in a few minutes later, yet remained unnamed.

”Yer a brave man Septimus, glad te ‘ave someone as dependable as ye with us”

  14. Alaric would be saddened by the news “soon my brother will rid these lands of those savage long ears”

he’d say as he rose from his desk leaving his studies for later, throwing himself into his bed. “Maybe Morsgrad could take the cats in?” He’d say as he pet his loyal fox.

In all seriousness though ideally this is a good system and a good step forward, having mods actually talk with players (preferably in vc, tired of mods being afraid or unwilling to communicate with players even if they're undesirables) and those involved in the situation will help get rid of what seems to be knee jerk reactions from mods when nobody involved want any punishments. We’ll see how it goes, here’s to hoping though.
