    "A third rises."

Spoke forth the choir of voices that was the named of The King Beneath, Barrowlord Fornotos. Their head, a visage concealed by a steel helm, dupped into a nod of acceptance. Having witnessed the existence of the previous herald, she looked upon the ascension of her longtime ally with fondness. Where once they'd known naught but anguish, they had felt peace, if only brief, for the first time in centuries. A gnarled staff was tapped thrice 'pon the stone ground on which she stood, their gaze drifting into the beyond. Though it yearned to slam down once more, it was not yet time...

"Radiant is the Black Sun.- Welcome back to the four thrones of Heraldry, my friend."

  2. A woman, mentally marred by the abyss's corruption, mourned the mali she had once taken such pride in tormented. Though knowing well of his plights, she pondered if the elf that met his end that day and the 'aheral she'd once considered a friend, a confidante, an eternally patient foe, were one of the same. Perhaps the body of Lefkos had died that night, but in her eyes, his soul, the truest reflection of his self, had died when Xan had turned his back on him.

Regardless, Valindrasurvivor of the abyss wept not like the lord immortal she hoped to one day be, but as the truly pathetic and insignificant mortal she was.

This is not common knowledge- do not metagame this.

    Spoiler

I remember Lefkos waaay back in like 2018. He's p much been present throughout my entire server experience. I'll miss his antics- he was an entertaining character for sure.

  3. The newly ordained Herald of Strife found the missive entering their iron grasp. They needed only peer over it for a few seconds before a nod followed, one of approval.

"It has been too long. The Four Heralds must rise anew to spread the Primeval ways once more, lest we fade into further obscurity through the inaction of generations. As Maleficar are a threat to us, so too is stagnation. We only hope Delmar is versed enough in our ways.."

tbh, isnt it weird humans can't be above 6'6 even though irl its very much possible and not extremely rare.

  5. Another letter came through, delivered to the pontiff's desk...

    "Good Archbishop,

I am a longtime practitioner of the Voidal arts and an elf who was baptized on Atlas. I've spent decades protecting humanity from otherworldly threats. It would be a pleasure to speak with you and provide extra insight into the Void and its place within canondom.

    Sincerely,

    Valindra."

  6. Word reached a distant 'aheral, who merely nodded in approval of the missive posted and the seemingly sincere words of the elf. ".. Betrayal is in the nature of almost every 'fenn still alive.. Now that you've gotten it out of your system, there may yet be hope for you." Valindra mused, swinging the lorraine which hung from her belt idly, it was time for penance. "Unlikely, though,"

    ----

    Spoiler

An occultist far off to the north merely nodded their approval while tending to the final resting places of deceased innumerous. Their steeled grasp clasped a copy of that missive, which was promptly cast off into the embers of a nearby fire.

    "The dog fights her leash,

    the beast bites her master,

    the servant defies the deity.

Trouble yourself not with the plights of maleficar, child,

your destiny has the potential to contribute to something far greater,

You foes burn under the flames of the hells, yet the ash endures,

    the embers of salvation.

Perhaps we'll have use for you yet, child of frost and fel-flame."

  7. "It was cruel to put one so frail and elderly in the position in the first place." Spoke Valindra, who found herself feeling sympathy for the former maheral's plight. "Perhaps now Calith shall get the rest he deserves."

  8. Scions could also be made bladesinger wizards- this is what I planned to build when someone was planning a LOTC dnd campaign.

Voidstalkers I'd argue could go into sorceror aberrant mind or great old one warlock multiclass.

Artificers could potentially spec into clockwork soul.

Mystics could also fit into death domain cleric. [Spirit guardians fits well with tyking]- at least for casters. Blades would probably be hexblade warlock, or an oathbreaker paladin.

Azdrazi are a difficult one. While draconic sorc does work, I could also see them going into  way of the ascendant dragon.

Shamans would 100% fit more into ancestral guardian barb or maybe wild magic- they could also potentially take a dip into cleric as a multiclass- celestial warlock might even work for witchdoctors.

Necros could probably also go for undead patron on warlock- I could perhaps see them going death domain or undying domain cleric, maybe [at an extreme push] shadow sorcery.

Templars are 100% zealot barbarians and nobody can convince me otherwise- potential fighter battlemaster multiclass.

Paladins are a weird cleric-paladin hybrid

Druids are a weird one. Wild-shaping is commonly locked behind an exclusive feat on LOTC, so I'd go as far to justify them being fey-pacted warlocks, nature domain clerics or even dipping into the ranger class.

Some feats are harder to justify.

Alchemy, proficiency in alchemy-related tools and prof in medicine and nature checks with maybe a slight bonus to sleight of hand.

Herald of Azdromoth, give them the returning weapon spells + green flame blade.

Keepers of Xan get the Divinely Favoured feat.

    Corcitura get dhampir stats.

Any sort of construct making should grant access to find familiar, perhaps allowing creatures to be made with a challenge rating that scales with 1/2 their prof bonus.

Feat-level seer gets blindsight but only with a 20ft radius.

Veilwatchers should get access to detect magic as a ritual + augury when it comes to void related happenings.

Arcane Displacement gets maybe Scion of the Outer Planes feat or the planar wanderer feat.

    CAs

Liches and Wights- immun. to necrotic dmg, vuln. to radiant damage + force [Only thing I could thing of that came close to voidal]

Frost Witches- Immun. to cold damage, resist to slashing dmg, vuln to bludgeoning and fire damage.

Azdrazi - Immun. to fire damage, vuln to cold + radiant.

Treelords- Immun. to poison, resistant to acid, vuln. to fire + necrotic.

Constructs- Dispel magic or any similar spell deals 1d8 force damage, [scales with caster level of attacker + 1d8 per milestone] and they must make a con save against the caster's spell DC, on a failed save, they get an action, bonus action OR movement and must select only one of the three on their next turn.
