What is roleplaying?: text based role playing is when you make a persona or OC (original character) where you have to describe everything in great detail and there is a theme which can range from simple to really complicated and strict craziness and everyone just makes their own story as it goes along and interacts with each other, but platform roleplaying (roleplaying useing a platform like dungeons and dragons or starcraft cortex roleplay or lord of the craft ) is basically the same thing but it has slightly more limitations but seems to be a more popular choice for people so you can have giant roleplay things with lots of characters.
What is metagaming?: meta gaming is were you give advantages to your character based on your own personal knowledge.
What is powergaming?: basically the principles of acting out in action in RP is would instead of does, considering the fact any factor (players or the like) could change how your character /would/ do that action. So, Player A ignores this and writes, *Doom Guy shoots his Super Shotgun at the imp, completely decapicating the head and sending blood and gore everywhere." This, defies the principle where instead he should write, "Player A /attempts/ (/would/) to try and kill the imp with a Super Shotgun. Powergaming essentially is when you overpower your character in roleplay, and in the end ignore 'external' factors that could affect what you said you did, (ex. if your opponent odged, etc

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)Supposedly, Covon Aragan's family heritage came from the lands of Athera, however that is not particularly for sure - we do know that his close (birth) family resided as stowaways in a Merchant trade from far distant lands compared to Vailor. Two families refuged on board, the Aragan's, whom gave birth to Covon, and the von Eire's whom gave birth to his best childhood friend, Arystymn. The ship was resided in for roughly 4-5 years, where Covon was gave birth to in the year 1532, and two years later so was Arys. A year after his friend's birth, the merchant ship finally set dock to the Wood Elven lands of Laurelin, of the Wood Elves. The two family's emerged onto the eastern half of the Isles, although split apart in relationship after they each gained own work in different farms.
Except this, Covon and Arystymn actually managed to have a friendly relationship together. Having spent their whole younger life together, Covon developed almost a brotherly-sisterly relationship with Arystymn, the two adventuring together in early child-hood. With a scholarly mind, Aragan - as he would go by, was very intrigued of the like of historic actions of other races, including his own. He had researched through word of mouth about the initial children, Krugmar of the Orcs, Malin of the Elves, Horen of the Humans, and lastly Ogwar of the Dwarves. His social studies were ironic however, as he was no where near social. Not exactly sociopathic, Covon did actually have anti-social behaviors. By age 12 and 13, Covon matured a broad chest, dark green eyes, and lightish brown hair. His elven ears shoot out of his thick hair. Also, did he engage in more activity with Arystymn, who encouraged him to criminal like activity. Covon, who was very gullible at the time followed a long, and they as a pair often would nick pockets and scare a way adventures by gruesomely hanging dead livestock corpses to trees. Doing this so earned slightly more minas for their already destitute families. At age 19, Covon Aragan still could be considered a younger Malin of the kind - and still aspires many things yet to be told.
