What is your availability: (Tell us how many hours you spend on the server daily, and between what times.)

I usually am able to spend up to a few hours on the server, probably 2-3 or even longer. Throughout the summer, you can find me on at any time past 2 o' clock in the afternoon, until about 5 or 6. However, please note that I will be going away for two weeks, starting the week after next week.

Tell us an issue you currently experience on the server: (If you're experiencing problems on the server at this current time, please state what they are.)

A problem I am consistently finding is the lack of GMs or, at times, their hesitance to respond if it is too big a job. For example, there was a big house where I needed all the doors unlocked, and I had to wait an hour or two just to receive a response. I noted in my mod request I was in a hurry because I had to get going, but that didn't change much at all. Performing /gmlist numerous times, there were indeed GMs on duty to respond, but no tickets were being handled.  Also, perhaps less relevant, but I currently find issues with our new raid rules. My friend found an unlocked chest where there were sticks that he needed, and to think you need to scheduled a heist for something as simple as that is a bit over the top.

How do you feel individual GMs should present themselves personally and collectively as a team?: (In your personal opinion, how should GMs communicate with the Playerbase, how should they act?)

Game Moderators should present themselves in a timely and respective manner. When handling issues, whether it be in OOC chat or one on one, the GM may become angered or upset with the person they were dealing with. Even so, he should remain respectful of him even if he does not receive the same in return. It is the job of the said game moderator to uphold the rules and manners that this server strives to use to their advantage. Putting your personal feelings about others may be difficult, but it needs to happen if you are going to walk away from bias or rash decisions. Even if this is a minecraft server, it is a community, and the GMs are expected to help run it. As a team, the moderators should focus and act as one. Working with each other not only benefits themselves, but the server as a whole. When you're put on a team with others, expectations not only rise but you need to still meet those expectations. You may bicker - but never do it in front of the community, as it may raise doubt in them when it comes to respecting you and your colleagues. As a game moderator, your time is consistently consumed and used up quickly, but that is a challenge you must meet head on if you are to be successful. Communication is key, and if a player needs assistance, whether it be in chat or gameplay, the GM should aid them along. Personally, I like to go and meet new players that have just spawned in, and this is a good example of helping someone out. Giving them a little start on the server is just a small example of what they are expected to do. Also to add on more simply, they should always use proper grammar in situations, so they are to look professional and mature.

What are your finest and worst traits?: (Shoot for two or three of each. This part is to have you analyse yourself.)

A trait I possess is commitment. Whenever I start a project, I am committed to finishing it. Commitment helps you do things you wouldn't dream of doing. It allows you to finish a big build, even if every time you add something on it looks horrible. You keep trying to fix it, and eventually, you do. Commitment is to explain why you have to do what you need to do when a player puts up his arms and pouts, defending his wrong doing with every ounce of energy he has. Commitment requires you to give priority to many things at once, and still managing to get it done. It's the power that allows you to grow as a person and evolve into a greater version of yourself. Another good trait I acknowledge about myself is appreciation. When you appreciate others, it not only makes you a better person in the eyes of them, but it could uplift their spirit as well as make them feel better about what they have accomplished. When you openly praise someone, it makes them want to work harder as well. It improves communication and teamwork, something every successful staff team needs. However, everyone has their bad traits. A bad trait I feel I have is pessimism. Being a pessimist, I tend to focus more on negative outcomes then good. For example, when going through an interview or looking for a job, I tend to believe that it won't end up good. A problem with pessimism is that you may not even try something because you believe such a negative outcome to come out of it. But, being a pessimist also allows me to sometimes strive away from the gloomy outcome and just see what happens. Pessimism is a mental attitude that can be bad but good. Another bad trait I may have is sometimes I attempt to please everyone. This not only stresses me, but it is an extremely hard thing to obtain and may add to my pessimist outlook. Not everyone will be pleased, but sometimes I try anyways. Both of these traits I look to overcome, and I will strive to do my best with all four traits that I have introduced about myself.

Why are you the best candidate for the Game Team?: (Convince us on why you are the person we want within the Game Team)

You are looking for someone that can easily fit into the role of game moderator and seamlessly take on the responsibilities that are going to be brought upon me. I not only have the experiences necessary to succeed in the position, including working with many servers before, I also have the ability to work quickly and efficiently to keep projects up to task. Other applicants may have some impressive qualifications of their own, but no other applicant is going to fit in as effectively as I will. Do not misunderstand me - I do not want to affect anyone else's attempt at becoming a game moderator, as I am sure they have worked hard and long for it, but I do believe that I am very mature and experienced with positions such as this. With my years of working around this topic, I have benefited many other servers, and I hope LOTC will be no different.

During my time as a counselor in training at a camp, I found that people could be very tedious and annoying. I also, however, found that I was able to overcome this annoyance and work with them one on one. Player's reactions and conversations will not hinder my performance as it may others - I've dealt with many different types of communities, and I am pretty sure I have it down like bread and butter. Whether it be using an iron fist, or a bit of humor, I know I will be good at monitoring and handling the server's amazing community. Also, I am very good in both individual projects as well as working with a team to get something done. I will not start fighting tooth and nail to get something done my way - but I would look for us to all find equal ground. Collaborative work is very important when you are trying to run and progress a group of very different people, and working together is something all staff should strive for.

When asked to do something, I try to get it done, although understand that I cannot be available at every call. Due to separate time-zones, I've found that I can not always be available during important times. I will need to look for a way around this, and I will work towards the goal of finding a solution for this. Although this is true, being in a separate time zone may be useful at times. An admin or a majority of the GMs may have to be in bed at 2 am, where it is still around 8 pm for me, therefore I can still work and maintain the community during a late night for others. I have my downsides and advantages, albeit I find that my advantages heavily compete with my downsides.

I have had numerous past staff positions, and I find that these may aid me in the future. I have had a few big achievements when applying for ranks similar to that of a GM. Whether it be in a 5000 player server or a smaller one, I have experience in all kinds. My latest position was Administrator on a server with a player base of 100 people online at one time. Having past positions similar to moderator can aid me in helping LOTC, and it has helped forge my best traits into great feats of opportunity and awareness.

I've not much add, but on top of my past staff experiences, I have in real life experiences handling people equivalent to my age and younger, so a variety. Whether it be in student government, captain of the Jr. varsity football team, or counselor in training, my experiences in the real world add on to how my experiences will separate me from other applicants.

This is possibly the worst update yet.

Not only did the formatting get worse (making it harder for new players to understand the rules), the rules were made less concise and clear. When these rules were written originally, thought went into each rule and each rule was made for a specific reason. Now, rules like the Defender Default rule are not even listed under a clear Defender Default section, and instead of Guards only being able to call defender status for certain laws, Guards can call defender default for ANY law. This is abusable as **** and no thought went into making this new ruleset. The previous rules were better and although I disagree with many of them this change is absolutely retarded.

Seriously LoTC, get it together. What the **** are you actually doing, and WHY did we need new rules? Why?  Why are we back to having 6 threads for the rules? Like honestly what the ****

Preach it. When you GMs and Admins can be doing something productive, you decide to rewrite raid rules that didn't even need an urgent rewrite. Chill the hell out. You wonder why people quit / purposely get banned.

Klaus I de Savin chuckles as he hears that his uncle is being crowned a King, "Bahahaha, let's see how long this lasts," he bellowed out in laughter- "The House de Savin... Royalty, dear GOD this tickles me. I doubt he has a Capital City!" he exclaimed, speaking to his canine companion.

((Don't meta-game this, nobody would've heard it but Klaus.))

Varen'thal hums aloud,"I wonder what that Klaus character is up to now a days. I heard his only friend was a canine - that he talks to it! Filthy man that is."

Only thing I don't like from the image is that the terrains are not blended together, like mesa sand and grass are just put straight together. Also we should not do freebuild for nations, no one should get the map early to prebuild their nations. However, they should be told where they will get land on the map and not shown the terrain itself.

Too late - we've already been shown our locations and will be getting about a month before the map to build our cities.

  7. Varen'thals mouth would gape open, sporadically closing and opening like a fish,"Gift them gold. That was savage as ****. I praise you. But, Haelun'or will rise once again. Truthfully, I must agree to a degree. To all you Mali'Aheral who abandoned Haelun'or, you not only abandoned a city - but you abandoned Purity and Larihei herself. May your path bring you to the orcs. Haelun'or will rise once again, and I welcome you into the city with open arms. Doing this is a sign of weakness, but I will permit it once and only once. You have two choices, and now is the hour to make it. Will you reclaim your homeland? Or banish it to the void of existence in which we all came?"

Being the shiniest among turds isn't something to be proud of.

As much as I respect him for exposing the problems that those outside of staff could not see, do not call him an amazing admin.

I didn't know him well but he always helped me out if I needed it, and he was like, the only admin to ever answer modreq, 501 may have answered a few here and there but not really, no. And he was the best admin out of the three, and when I say best I meant best in this time period, (the three admins).
