  1. I had a orc fight me just looking to test the quality of axe, we did some rolls and rp which resulted in my sword breaking under a blow from his axe, he then shook me down for some mina and he went on his way. It was short and simple, but I always seem to remember back to that one incident and how fun it was to get a bit of rp out of a classic robbery setup rather than mina or die.

  2. I like the idea, could lead to a cool battle to look back on / take part in. However even though it is fantasy mineman magic rp setting, I couldn't really see this logically working without the influence of magic over greater distances or without the advantage of high ground. I would take influence from the ESO  cinematic. In that one the Daggerfall forces have a similar contraption, but it launches the anchors out ahead of time with the rope, which is then used as a guide as the bridges unravel.

You can see them in action here

This seems like you could logically get much more distance and velocity as you are only supporting the rope during the flight, rather than iron and planks. I see some issues like perhaps the anchors land to far apart for the bridge to fully unravel and of course, that sort of heavy rope is still a lot for a ballista bolt for carry behind it. Either way these bridges should be pretty easy to dislodge, perhaps falling off after a few minutes by gm call from people stampeding across in armor. Could say the planks are extended out onto the guide ropes by crank / spring, not to sure on lore regarding mechanical devices in lotc for that.

Similar to the video, I think any defending force should get once chance to dislodge the attached bridges once before forces get to cross, it isn't a simple contraption and it defeats a large part of a castles defense and should be treated as such. Also make sure to include some anchoring mechanism so the ballista end isn't pulled over the edge when the bridge is used.

Edit: Just realized the art you posted is the lore art for the video I linked, so you may have already intended for it to work this way, I assumed you wanted it working the For Honor way with the bridge flying out all at once

  3. *Simple notes on cheap paper would be affixed to notice boards about Axios, tattered from being exposed to the elements*

I am just a simple man seeking work as a smith and miner. I know my trades well and can meet any quotas or taxes I would need to provide, leave a response on this note if you are interested in employing such a worker. I shall answer any offers after retrieving the notes. I am human but would work for any race or at any location as long as compensation is provided.

  4. As much as I disagree with having area's be 'unconquerable', I respect that some people want to be able to just have their rp hub and not have to worry about it being overrun via war claim from a horde of pvpers, but perhaps some sort of subjugation  setup for these peaceful areas that would be a little more friendly to rp around rather 'oh we just cant take that city', perhaps a monthly tribute or somthing idk, just seems a little off, seems theres better ways to do it that would help to further rp rather than hinder it.

  5. I like the presented ideas for the most part, might need some tweaking to be implemented, but the idea of being able to join a guild sounds like a pretty appealing and understandable way for a new player (typically starting out as some sort of adventurey mercenary type) to get involved with some appropriate rp, combined with the ranking system it would be interesting, could possibly even expand to more aggressive bounties maybe requiring player settlements to seek out an appropriately ranked guild to deal with the problem. All in all seems like a great way to gather alot of those players who get lost just sort of wandering about into some cool fantasy rp that they probably came here for to start with.

"Lets separate IC from OOC, guys. Peace, love, happiness. lets not destroy johhanesburg or st. karlsburg, these are hubs of RP!"

hypocrisy ripe for the picking. perhaps let the debt be paid in full before you go all "woah there"

If anyone votes 1.9, Pyro will kick you out of oren and vege will kick you out of the rebellion. Those OOC blacklists work well at times.

Don't be a selfish ****. The server has been run with great battles with 1.8 pvp. Ever since 1.9, everything went to hell. The battle of Mt. Augustus, heibenhall, the battle of Fort dunamis, siege of Hanseti, the great dunamis in petrus. You weren't around for the good times, Alakabam was. Only 2011 to 2013 veterans should have a say. Like Alakabam, Erik, Maur, bird, eddy, the coal miner union, not new players that donate ten bucks to the server and know nothing. You are similar to Jon Snow, but a big difference is he gets da ladies, and you get a rod shoved up your *** by your edgy elf friends.

Sigh, back to wandering the chunks of axios alone and cold I suppose, maybe I can dig holes for some halflings for a living.

Pretty sure its a picture from when JB was being WE in and hadn't been voxel'd around yet to add the sloped terrain, giving that flat cliff in the picture, they pasted a picture of one of those knifes from the youtube videos of people cutting **** with a hot knife that where popular for some reason suddenly.
