Soren was born to a human family of farfolk in the year 1542. if you asked anybody who's truly interacted with him they'd generally describe him as "A rather odd person, who tends to lack in self control". Soren left his home at the young age of 15. He had felt there was nothing more to be learned in his home, so he set off
Soren was always described as somewhat eccentric. He was always one of those people you tend to just try to stay out of the way of simply due to his rather strange way of doing things. Whether it being trying to build siege equipment for hunting or simply ignoring the atmosphere in the room. He's always been of the curious sort, which more then often translates into reading any books he may get his hand on, or asking any question that may pop into his mind at a time. Unfortunately, this has lead to a fair amount of issues for Soren in his life, and he's gained his fair share of scars from said issues. Soren's morality is also questionable, at best. He will go to nearly any length to see his questions answered and his curiosity sated. For the most part though, Soren will stick to the right side of the law unless left with no other options.
Since beginning his travels, Soren has taken whatever job came his way so that he could continue to live a life of tinkering and searching for answers to questions. As he was unspecific in what kinds of jobs he took, he's become somewhat of a jack of all trades with the exception of having little hand to hand skill or skill with any weapon besides a knife. For combat he prefers to dodge and in some cases try to extend the battle so he can learn more about how other people fight. Regardless of all this, soren does have a sense of mortality, though not a great one. He will not participate in an activity that will lead directly to his death. This being said, Soren, knowing the lack of longevety that humans have, has taken it upon himself to learn more about the curse that was left upon humans by Iblees.
Soren holds no large hatred for other races like the zealous humans. Instead he wishes to study them as he would any other person, animal, or thing. He even holds a large amount of respect for the orcs and their ability to create war machines such as the mancrusher or slapper. He also wishes to study the curses on other races such as the dwarven curse of greed and shortness and the elven curse of infertility, though studying these two things has lead him to be slightly more careful about the company he brings it up in.
