I have a hefty amount of knowledge on the descendant races, having played every race at least once except for a persona with an orcish lineage. I've mostly associated myself with wood elves, high elves, and briefly, humans.

I have a good idea on the past events that make up the server lore as well.

I strive to be a member of the Application Team because I feel like I wasn't done when I decided to depart a few months ago, and I wish to finish the work I've started with a confident end. I left due to too many priorities and lack of time and I believe I'm in a position to put forth more attention towards my AT responsibilities and keep up.

Provide an alternate way to assisting new players apart from reviewing applications:

An AT member can help a player once they've connected to the server. LOTC has so many unique plugins that it's essential a maze of plugins, and not everything is covered/mentioned on the forums. You can be that guiding hand to provide information, or tips that can help them progress smoothly through the server and it's diverse mechanics.

Nothing wrong at the moment. Though, I can suggest an addition. I still believe provide an rp scenario gives up a sense of their roleplay quality and in a sense give them a little dabble of the roleplay world they're about to immerse themselves into.

I'm familiar with Arcanism, Clerical Magic, Iconoclasm (Fi'hiiran'tanya), and I've experience with Shade, Soul Puppetry, Ascended Magic and Azdrazi Inner-flame.

Write about a magic-related topic that you find interesting (e.g. How mental barriers work):
I've always found the original concept of Fi'hiiran'tanya interesting before it was rewritten into Iconoclasm. It was the second magic I took up, and it provided a different dynamic for roleplay. The aspect that drew me in the most was the idea of harboring a second soul, and utilizing to use anti-magic, whilst it was a twisted method regulating magic, it was needed. Many individuals in roleplay had different views, whether the end justifies the means. It wasn't necessary a vile magic for some, though specific holy orders saw it fit to deal with their existence if trouble arose. Along with the second soul, it'll influence an anti-mage and always have that sense of dread, as if punishing the mage for what they've done. It was definitely something different, and interesting to roleplay and interact with the other mages in the community.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

An Arcane Familiar, also know as a Atronach, is an elemental morphon given its existence through the use of an enchanted core. The construct is a product of the combination of three magics, that being Evocaion, Conjuration and Transfiguration, each playing a vital role to the constructs  existence. The appearance and the abilities of the Atronach depend on their respective evocation, being Arcanism, Earth, Fire, and Water Evocation.

The creation of a familiar is similar to the creation of a golem, such as providing a magical core that is enchanted for the creature to exist. The core consists of a very large mana gem surrounded in arcaurum that is needed to be enchanted with the morphon spell that then combines the desired evocation with conjuration. This core is rather unique, not being cubic or spherical but cylindrical instead, with a large crystal within to fuel the construct. Along with the core, there are many binding plates that help define the construct's shape, though they do not need to cover the entire body, though they act as a guideline for the creature's form. The being needs a mana obelisk to function over a long period of time. The creator can alternatively imbue the core with their own power and keep it running, at cost, for a short amount of time, usually being a few hours. The main use of the mana obelisk is to keep the familiar running for an indefinite amount of time, due to the constant supply of mana recharging its core.

The familiar will remain loyal to its creator, always obeying their orders, only taking order through verbal means or through gestures of the sort. The act much like golems, knowing that their creator is their owner, and their life is bound to theirs. It is up to the creator to teach them anything they wish for them to know, though the use of their arcanic abilities come naturally. When speaking, the construct speaking in monotone manner, carrying no emotion in their voice. Their physical appearance their ability to interact with the world different depending on the evocation imbued in them. For example, Fire and Water Atronach will be well versed in far range combat while, Ice and Earth Atronachs are well versed in close range combat. Ice and Earth Atronachs are capable of interacting with the world around them easily, being able to wield a weapon with ease, while it'll be difficult for a Fire and Water Atronach to do the same. Arcane Atronachs are a mixture of the two, being able to choose which form to take at times, making them the 'jack of all trades'.

Atronachs are susceptible to Fi' magic, if touched which such, they're mana will be drained, leaving them lifeless once done, and will need to be charged by its creator once more. Same goes for the Atronach's plating, if it damaged too much, it'll be unstable and need to be repaired.

But in all seriousness, he has a point, how can anyone expect to progressively grow in activity if you don’t have an active guard force manning the gates.

EDIT: And even then, gates aren’t the only factor to activity. There are places with gates opened 24/7 but it’s dead more than half of the time.
