What magic(s) will you be teaching?:

    Iconoclasm

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

To be an Iconoclast, one must have a barrier of mist shroud their soul. Unlike the mist used on their intended targets, this mist blockage is thicker and incomplete. This barrier is filled with highly receptive patches which allows the Iconoclast to use this boon, anti-magic. This magic allows for the user to halt another mage's magic, and possibly prevent them from doing so for an allotted amount of time. If a mage who had already connected to the void wished to follow in the path of an Iconoclast, they would be unable to leave such a path, forever being an Iconoclast. Though, if one had no relation to the void or any deity, they would be able to be disconnect, but will have to wait an IRL month before connecting to the void or a deity.

As an Iconoclast, you are able to use mana receptive mana in many ways. This viscous fog has natural properties of wanting to latch onto high magical presence, such as souls, and energy itself. As time passes, the Iconoclast progressively becomes more skilled in their art, and begin to utilize to perform different useful tasks listed below. (For every Iconoclast, they must begin by drawing from their barrier and turning to acquired mana in a receptive batch and channeling it through their body. From there, they are able to perform a spell.):

    Reaching/Blocking (Requires 2-3 emotes):

This allows an Iconoclast to use their mist and have it make its away towards their target, expanding five meters (five MC blocks) with each emote. Once at its target, it'll begin to wrap around the target's soul, providing a sensation of discomfort. Though, if the target had magical gem or item on their person, it'll take an extra emote for the mist to eradicate that presence before affecting the mage directly.

Draining (Requires one emote after the mist is in contact with the target):

This allows an Iconoclast to pull upon the magical energy, be it if the mist comes in contact with a casting mage, or if a spell were to enter it. It devours the mana in spells and items, though this will be quite taxing for the anti-mage, taking a bit of effort on their part. Though, taking mana from a soul, is capped at 50%, taking two emotes to do so.

    Distort:

This spell allows for the mage to saturate the area, weakening any mages or magical items in the area of effect. This essentially knocks things down specific amount of tiers depending on the skill of the casting anti-mage (Voidal and Deific spells drop two tiers, while Primal spells such as necromancy and shades drop a single tier); this effect is temporary, and last a certain amount of emotes depending on the Iconoclast's tier.

    Redirecting (Requires 2 emotes):

This allows an Iconoclast, after draining mana, to allocate it to another spell or being. After draining 50% of another mage's mana, you must be make physically contact, unless you're fueling your own spell. This mana does that go to a mana pool but rather fuel active spells, much like a booster. The amount of times you can redirect depends on the tier of the anti-mage.

    Silencing (Requires 5 emotes):

In order to use this spell on another individual, the target must be relatively still. Minor movements are acceptable, but moving on a larger scale, such as block to block movement would interrupt the spell. A barrier is then wrapped around the soul and shatters when the allotted time is done. (An anti-mage cannot silence for more than four IRL days without consent. After silencing an individual, they cannot silence them again for three IRL days after the barrier had shattered.)

    Shielding (Requires 1-3 emotes):

Using their mist, the Iconoclast is able to create a dome around themselves and their allies. This allows them to create a defense against magic, absorbing it when it hits the barrier. Depending on the anti-mage's tier, the shield can grow to be a certain size and hold for a certain amount of time.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

Ganved Elibar'acal stood idle on a secluded area within a desolate forest, tapping his foot to a rhythmic beat, growing impatient and annoyed with every passing second. A mage had been casually leaning against a tree, waiting as well. "How I grow tired for the tardy." He drawled, pacing back and forth within the clearing. “Two more elven minutes.”

Just in time, with seconds to spare, the young mali’aheral student arrived, out of breath and clearly exhausted as he huffed and wheezed uncontrollably. "I-I’m… here.” He managed to say, placing his palms upon his knees as he tried to recollect himself.

"And late.” The teacher snapped, shuffling forth to place himself before his student, peering down at the shorter male. “No time to waste now- We will begin with casting and collecting your mist within your grasp; and from there, expanding it into a dome for shielding. You are required to not only cover yourself, but myself included... whilst absorbing a spell this mage will throw at us.” He stated, stepping about four meters away from his student.

The young student was utterly perplexed by his teacher’s words, lips tugging downwards into a frown. “B-But you're farther away that usual.” He said, unsure.

“I am aware. Now, start casting; I've places to be.” Ganved stated simply, not a single sign of sympathy shown in his tone.

“Okay.” The student nodded, holding out a palm. His brows knitted together, lips pursed as the student put forth all their attention into casting. Moments later, a jet black mist flickers into existence betwixt the newly connected mage’s palm, slowly but surely expanding outwards.

Ganved observed carefully, not caring to intervene. He yawned softly, raising a hand to cover his mouth as he continued to watch the younger mage.

The black ball of mist shot outwards into a dome, it grew to be about two feet in diameter, covering the student completely. The casting mage’s visage was visibly strained, beads of sweat rolling down his visage as he held the mist. “C-This is all I can do.” He managed to ask, words congested.

“No, it's not. Keep going.” He demanded, eyes narrowing upon his student'ss contorted face.

The student offered no further response, the mist eventually growing more to be about 4 feet in diameter, his visage turning noticeably pale. The mist itself covered both himself and Ganved.

The mage at the side pushing himself off the tree and placing himself before the bubble. Already being connected, the mage focused upon their palm, a small flame coming to life. With one swift movement, the mage sends the flame forth, ripping through the air towards the mist bubble.

The student's gaze was unmoving from the mage, absolute concentration plastered across their features. As the flame made contact with the bubble, the student emits a soft grunt, the mist eating away at the spell that had entered it. Almost instantly, the student fell to the ground, the mist dispersing into nothing. He was left in the grass, a sheet of sweat across his face, glistening in the sun.

Ganved perked a brow, a subtle smile spreading across his pale lips. “Good. The next lesson will be in an elven week, if you are late again, I will personally see to it that you regret it.” He stated sternly before departing, leaving the distressed student in the open clearing by himself.
