What’s the rule you agree with the most?: "If you die in roleplay, your character will not remember the events leading up to the death. Waking up knowing who killed you is metagaming. You also may not return to the site of your death for thirty minutes (Unless it was your character's home)." - I personally love this rule because its a simple step that stops meta-gaming from occurring, which can then ruin the killer / anyone affiliated to them's experience and roleplay, thus simply screwing up roleplay in general. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): Nope, every rule makes fluid sense to me. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I mostly used to play here around a year or so ago on an account called 'PepsiKnight' which originally was called Rellik998 (I changed its name), however I was hacked around February and thus only got around to buying an MC account this month, so I thought I'd apply and play here again. In the context of roleplaying on a minecraft server, it's adopting a role that abides by the server's lore and acting as it by emoting, thinking, talking, and acting as that character. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the disdainful act of roleplaying in a sense that incorporates using knowledge that your role / character should not have nor know, thus being unfair and unjust to the others you're roleplaying with since you've in hindsight gained knowledge on others that they might not want you to know through illegitimate roleplay. An example would be calling someone by their roleplay name even if your character's never seen, known nor heard of them before. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is another disdainful and frowned upon act that involves roleplaying in an unfair sense that causes your character to go beyond their restrictions and bounds in an impossible manner, whilst also disregarding their physical caps, the server's lore and the likes. An example would be an unarmed novice at arms fighting and thwarting off an armed trained brigade of troops, it's just impossible and infeasible. In-Character Information Character’s name: Bargon Dermer. Character’s sex: Male. Character’s race: Mountain Dwarf. Character’s age: 78. Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Bargon Dermer, born in the year of 1494 in a well-off province not too far from the booming and renowned capitol of Kal' Urguan, was raised to an eccentric and influential craftsman who was notorious for his prosperous smithing business used by various passes by on their journey to the capitol. Unbeknownst to him until his coming of a beardling at the tender age of twenty, he would have been fostered by his caring father, not knowing nor being able to trail his real parents and heritage. Soon enough, at a slightly older age of 36, the well-mannered Dwarf would grow to train under various masters of the crafts and the likes under various apprenticeships, hoping to learn and dedicate his life to the gorgeous yet costly arts of smithing, eager to please and carry his father's well-established prosperous business once the time would come, soon working away at crafting lowly blades and blunt tools, studying for hours on end on various manuscripts and scrolls, watching and shadowing craftsmen on their work shifts hoping to catch the secrets to the trade. Eventually, at the ripe age of 78, disaster would soon strike with his father's once fortunate business soon declining and shooting down into the ground, within months turning bankrupt and ruined as both father and son would rest and reside in their once full happy vibrant house, turned into a despaired grey empty sinkhole. Bargon, with the knowledge that he'd be fostered and adopted, would soon decide to pack up his various belongings and tools, hoping to set off on a journey to the rich vibrant capitol of Kal' Urguan, hoping to trace his family bloodline back to the various clans residing in the capitol, hoping to foster a trade off, where he'd work under his family in return for securing his father a staple amount of money to live and thrive on, desperate to keep his adopted father well and healthy. Personality Traits: Bargon is a bubbly compassionate dwarf who'd rather jokes and smirks to the usual awkward silence the roads permit him. He personally loves to blacksmith and name each and every tool, sword or nail he's fashioned, and enjoys the comfort of a warm hearth and a cozy house to live in, as such, he isn't the type to enjoy adventures or exploring, preferring the comforts of home. Oddly enough, Bargon has an infatuation with scanning, studying and learning every single bit of metal his father would own, eager to learn how to mold and strengthen their differences, eager to prove himself as an adept smith, spending hours on end studying ores and metals. Ambitions: Bargon aspires to become a renowned smith known for his fancy engraved crafts and the amount of care he puts into his metal and forge, striving to prove himself in the big large capitol of Kal' Urugan. He also aspires to find his true family, hoping to strengthen his ties with his bloodkin whilst also providing his struggling father with a staple income, hoping to keep him alive and well. Strengths/Talents: Mining - As the son to a blacksmith, Bargon has spent time learning the various ores and metals that reside in mines and how to extract them, going on various errands to the mines around his home village to gather bags of ores and the likes, thus gaining a staple amount of knowledge on how to extract and mine various ores. Bright hawkish green eyes would match his chiseled cheekbone and jaw, set upon with a plump set of rosy lips and a large blunt nose.
