    What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I think the no derogatory remarks and how they are not allowed is the one I agree with the most.

    How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Honestly, I was just searching for roleplay servers.

    What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of playing something or someone you are not, and basing your play-style off of the thing you're pretending to be's experiences, life, and history.

    What is metagaming?: It's when you use knowledge outside of your character's "life" to essentially help the character get further or do things.. For example, someone can't tell you in real life to come help them kill someone. Your character would have to have a conversation with the person that wants to kill someone, before you can even attempt anything.

    What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: This is when someone is being "overpowered". An example of power-emoting is when two people are fighting, one can't just have all of their attacks be successful. There has to be a bit of chance in it.

     

    Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) My character's name is "Duncan Lefay", however the last name is not required when he is addressed.

    Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Human, more specifically Hanseti

    Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) I'd like him to be 23 years of age.

    Biography (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Duncan Lefay was born into a middle class family in the year 1564, in the Holy Orenian Empire. He was better educated than some of his fellow Hanseti, and his father taught him how to fight, seeing as his father was a mercenary before meeting his wife and having Duncan. His mother also used to be a bard, and she taught him how to sing and play the lute. He excelled in his studies and worked hard on his fighting form. At the age of 16, he took jobs at the local taverns and inns as a bard, and did occasional mercenary work with his father. 

    One night, he and his father were staking out a bandit encampment. They had been tasked with saving hostages the bandits had taken from a local arm. After sneaking through the fort, they found themselves in the fort's jail. Inside were the farmers, hanging dead on meat hooks. Appalled, Duncan took a step closer when they heard the door open and many footfalls. His father hissed at him "Hide!" so Duncan took cover behind a tower of crates. Just as he made it to the spot, a group of ten bandits entered. One who looked to be the leader said, "Well well, lookie what we got 'ere," turning to his comrades he snarled, "Get 'im boys." Duncan watched with horror as the older mercenary drew his sword and brandished it at the bandits. They charged Duncan's father, disarming him, but not before the mercenary took down half of them. The leader approached him, as he was being held by the bandits. The captain drew his sword, and smirking said, "See ya in hell." Duncan's father replied, "It will be sooner than you think." And with that, the leader impaled Duncan's father.

    As his father's life-less body hit the floor, Duncan shouted with rage, drew his sword, and started attacking the bandits. Ducking and weaving, rolling and diving, he took down what was left of them. Looking around, he saw the leader had bolted. Not willing to let the man go, he sprinted out the door in pursuit of the bandit. Alas, he was too late. He could barely make out the leader, riding down the road on horseback. Turning back around and seething with anger, he went back to fetch his father's body. After laying him to rest, he vowed he would hunt down the man that killed his father. He now ventures to the Great Kingdom of Urguan to find the man.

    Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) His habits consist of being organised, being sarcastic, and trying to help those in need. He enjoys music, writing, traveling and talking with friends. He is a funny and charming man, who can make you feel stupid, but is lighthearted about it. He dislikes bandits or any taker of innocent life in any form, those who pick on the weak, and corrupt people in and out of government and businesses.

    Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) He aspires to be like his father, who always tried to do the right thing.

    Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He is incredibly good with all weapons, but prefers a bow & arrow and sword. He is also a good musician, and is pretty intelligent. He prefers to go with a mixture of heavy and light armor getting a nice blend of protection without being weighed down.

    Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He isn't a raging alcoholic, but he does tend to get drunk when sad or stressed out. He is also a bit depressed, since his entire family is gone.

    Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He is a 6' 3" (can be shortened to 6' 1" if necessary) fair skinned man with a chiseled jaw and handsome face. He is muscular and has dark teal eyes with shaggy brown hair.
